    OK.
I was born in this industry. I played drums on the biggest stage of the International Jazz Festival at 16 years of age. I am a front of house engineer sponsored by Yamaha Canada. I heard a lot, and I mean, a lot of musicians. I've heard the very, very best.
But this? I never heard this. People consider me a monster on drums, and JD is as far to me as I am from a "regular" drummer. And keep in mind the keyboardist was playing the bass line all the time, and her right hand looked legit sped-up during her solo. And to top it off - there was not a single note that was off or "too much". Yes it was real busy, but everything was musical, tight, and classy. I listen to pretty much all the jazz youth and I can safely say those two are the best rhythm section I've heard in terms of technique - maybe the best rhythm section I heard in my entire life.
This is the type of duo you have once in a century. I mean it. I have no doubt. I mean I've seen a lot of impressive things in music and this is beyond impressive. This beyond "god level". It's literally something I absolutely did not believe was possible, and I've heard Jacob Collier... so.. fuck. The only video that really encourage me to hit the shed again after all this time.
