This is a great product. Super cool that it has the expansion zipper when going away for a few days. The whole thing pops right off as you head into the hotel. This product is one of those that makes me repeatedly happy. 2014 Suzuki vstrom 650.
I just installed one my Ninja Zx-11 and man it went so easily. Tied the straps, put them under the seat, tightened up the clamps and clicked the seat back in. It aint going nowhere. Very happy...
Where i live, it can get quite tight while lane filtering. This is exactly what i was looking for, extra storage without saddlebags either side blocking me from splitting.
Great design, I just wished there wouldn't be clips on the outside. Thiefs can just unclip the bag and take it with them making it necessary to take the bag in shady area's or while touring. Is there a way to take the clips off? If so I'm definitely buying one. Edit: I've found a solution, I'll just use a metal wire to loop around the handle and under the seat to make sure it can't be taken away by bare hands.
I may buy an old cheap used seat to attach this so that I can just swap seats out easily. If I’m running to the store I can just pop the seat with the bag on. When i get back just pop the good seat without the bag on it.
Hey just bought one in hopes of pairing it with sw motech blaze h saddlebags was wondering if you’d think it’s ok to strap the commuter bag to the tops of the saddlebags? Or If the original supplied clips would be long enough to pass the saddlebags & hook onto the passenger pegs ? (Mt09)
The Commuter Tail Bag should work perfectly mounted on top of the the throw over straps of teh Blaze H Saddlebags. We would recommend mounting directly to the back seat like in this video at the 1:10 mark. Thanks for your support.
Hi, I'm finding my 2 rear straps slacken off while riding because of the slight angle coming down from the clip on a narrower tail. Have you got any tips. Thanks
We imagine that you have the tail of the strap up under the seat, correct? If so, you can roll the tail up and put it under the elastic keeper. This wound up strap typically stays in place better than a loose strap. Or, you can tie the two opposite tails together under the seat and they will not be able to migrate.
The touring size has the biggest foot print. Even though all 3 sizes will fit on your bike, the 2 other sizes are more popular for your style motorcycle.
zipper closure will always be the failure point on bags with this kind of design.. but if they are well made of good material.. and you don't over fill .. they should last a long time.
Yes we agree that zippers can be a weak point on any bag. But we use brand name heavy duty zippers on all our new bags. Even if a zipper did fail, it would be covered under our lifetime warranty.
Am I missing something or is the lock just for appearances? The bag easily snaps off with 4 clips and can walk away? Tell me I'm wrong because I really want this tail bag. My kawasaki bag installs under the seat and can't be removed meaning someone would have to cut it open or cut it off the bike. I need a bag that keeps the honest man honest, if you will.
The difference is the material is our new UlraMax, the lid is more rigid and firm, the mounting is now quick release buckles and there are inside self fastening straps.
I don't know what size to buy for an SV650X Suzuki. Can you provide external measurements of Lite and Sport sizes? Edit: Bought the Lite version and it fits like a glove. Sport would also fit but would not look nearly as clean.

Thank you for your suggestion!
which tail bag is on the mt-07 shown in the video at 0:10 ?
Sport version. CL-1060-S
@@Nelsonriggusa Thank you!
@@Nelsonriggusa what is the difference between the CL-1060-S and the CL-1060-S2?
Thank you in advance!
@@richies.8833 We changed the mounting system to a quick release buckle and upgraded our material to our Ultra Max, which is UV resistant.
The example used from time 1:50min is that the (NELSON-RIGG CL-1060-S SPORT)?
That is the CL-1060-R Commuter Lite
Which would you recommend for a Yamaha R3?, would the touring one fit comfortably?
Thank you for your inquiry. The Touring bag will "fit" but it looks a bit big on the back of the R3. The Sport version is a better fit.
I have a yamaha fzr600. Which will be a better bag the touring or sport for my bike.
The Sport or the Touring will both work. Sport will be the best fit, but the Touring will allow you to fit a full face helmet.
I have a '23 cb500x and would like to get the touring option - anyone know if it fits...or too large?
The Touring Version will fit great on you CB500X.
I take it all 3 sizes can be installed in the same manner, under the passenger seat?
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, all three tail bags can be installed in the same manner, either under the seat or to any hardpart on the motorcycle.

Is this bag produced in USA?
Designed in the USA and made in a factory in China we have been doing business with for over 42 years.
Will the touring version fit on my honda cb650r? I need one that can fit a helmet in it
It will yes.
@@Nelsonriggusa is there any place I can buy it in belgium or will I have to order online?
I have a 2021 Vulcan S 650....no rear seat...how can I mount one of these on rear mudguard
You would need a seat or rack to mount this bag, sorry.
We have some new saddlebags that you can mount. www.nelsonrigg.com/new-products/nr-400-road-trip-saddlebags-detail

It a deterrent just the same as someone being able to cut your kawasaki bag off.
I ride a Honda Nighthawk 250. What are the main differences between the 1060's and the Commuter bags? Which line might I want to look at getting?
The difference is the material is our new UlraMax, the lid is more rigid and firm, the mounting is now quick release buckles and there are inside self fastening straps.
Will this fit on my luggage rack? Don't want it on the pillion seat. Bike is BMW F750GS Thanks
Yes, the larger Commuter touring is great size for GS bikes.
Will a back pack be uncomfortable while using this line of bags?
Depends where the bag sits on your back. A Lot of people run both.
will this fit a macbook pro 14?
Great question... It is just a hair too small for the 14" Macbook Pro to fit.

Both would fit well.
