  • Framing our windows, what a nightmare! It took a million measurements and tries but we made it! We are thrilled about the result and that we can share it with you 😀
Our van is covered in windows, but since we're using it during the winter we have to make the window smaller for insulation purposes. Meaning, the more is isolated the better, but we still want to be able to see out and get some daylight in. Therefore we have framed in our windows. We are super happy about the result, but it was a fight getting there. I wished we knew all the things we know now beforehand 😅

Before we embarked on this step we spraypainted the van windows, to see how we did it, click this link ✅ • Van window spray paint...

We are Ida&Tobias and we are converting a Ford Transit into the ultimate adventure campervan, and would love for you to join in on the ride🌟 We both have full-time jobs and we're building Miles (name of our van, named after the one and only Ken Miles🏎) after hours and during weekends. We cannot wait to get ready and take Miles (and hopefully you) with us on our new adventures.
THANKYOU for taking the time to join us, we (you and us) make up our small community and we are immensely grateful for your support here on RUclips and Instagram, it is truly inspiring for us and keeps us up late working on Miles and making videos 💚

HI Great Video!! THanks for the walkthrough! Im currently working on my van, did you leave any gap between the window and the window frame? Im worried about movement with the frame so close to the glass, then with a gap how do you prevent things from falling thru? Oh my, so much to think about, any pointers?

nothing is level in a van. so you have to SQUARE everything with a 90 degree. Use the floor to measure UP to the frame since the window should be the same level as the flooring. i learned that ALMOST the entirely tragic hard way lol... thanks for the vid!

haha we learned that too.. it's so incredibly frustrating!! we really struggled makeing our shower because of this, and ended up using a similar method to what you're suggesting 😀
