I love this, what a beautiful jar! I have several old jars waiting for something like this to be done to them! The Birds & Cherries napkin was a perfect choice! I was searching for a good tutorial and I found a great one! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much Sylene. I really appreciate your positive feedback. I no longer have my store but I thought I'd leave the videos up in case they are useful to other crafters. I do hope you'll give it a go on your old jars. All the best, Suzy.
Hi Suzy, I finally found the tutorial that covers all the queries I had. Great job. You were clear, precise, no rush, explanations and very easy to listen to and follow. Cheers Dianne Gold Coast
Absolutely beautiful!!! Those napkins are to die for, I can’t seem to find that beautiful quality anywhere. I saw that you mentioned Whimmel for a large assortment of napkins, I will indeed check them out. Thank you for the video Suzy! Cheers!
@@suzyscrafts Thank you Suzy. I stayed up to the wee hours of the morning last night determined I was going to find those beautiful napkins and I DID!!!! Yayyy me! Your work is beautiful, if you ever decide to start up your channel with more decoupage videos I will be the first to watch!

Hi and thank you. The spray varnish is available at hardware stores. Here in NZ I get it from Bunnings. Whatever brand you use just make sure it is water based, as oil based varnish will turn yellow over time.
@@glenisfox248 I have been thinking about it Glenis 😊. I haven't been very well the past year or so but when I'm feeling up to it I will make some more for sure.
OMG BEAUTIFUL. Love this. Quick suggestion. If you dip your fingers a bit in the Mod Podge and rub the corner of the napkin you can pull them right apart. Happy crafting. 😊
It will seal your work with a few coats but I wouldn't recommend it for anything that may get wet or if you sell your work. I prefer to go over things with varnish.
Hi Zaineb, try using a little less glue. Creases are inevitable but if you don't over do the glue you can usually push them flat with your fingernail over the cling film. Or you could try pushing them flat with the back of a teaspoon. I hope this helps. Remember, it's homemade and imperfections are part of the beauty of homemade. 😊
Hi Pamela, I guess you can't really see in the video but the writing still shows through the napkins when you see it in person. Also, I like to clean it all off as I often don't decide on my final design until I'm sitting there tearing up the papers.

Oh thank you!
Is it waterproof and washable
Inside is waterproof as it is glass. I recommend wiping the outside with a damp cloth if it gets dirty for some reason.
Can I use the homemade mod podge as a sealer? 😊
It will seal your work with a few coats but I wouldn't recommend it for anything that may get wet or if you sell your work. I prefer to go over things with varnish.
Such a pretty jar. Everything about it is lovely. I'm going to have a go at it with one of my jars. Thank you for inspiring me.

@@zainebmasood4169 I used a hot glue gun to carefully secure the twine.🙂

I'm sorry, I don't understand. RUclips won't let me copy and paste either so I can't look up Google Translate.
Grazie mille.

@@taleighshacinto33 oh thank you for letting me know what she said. I wish I knew how to do that. Someone else asked for subtitles because they are deaf but I don't know how to do it. 🤔
How do you make homemade mod podge?
Hi, the recipe is in my description. It is 1 cup of PVA glue (white craft glue) with 1/3 cup of water. Mix together. So simple. 😊😊😊
@@suzyscrafts thanks a lot🙂
When I use my sponge dabber it leaves so many paint bubbles. I don't see anyone else having that problem. Idk why I do
Sometimes it can happen. When it happens to me I go over the surface with a dry sponge dabber and that seems to smooth the bubbles out.
Does whimmel have a web site
www.wimmel-napkins.com/en/napkins.html
Use a wet wipe, works much better than sandpaper.
Do you mean to prepare the jar? A wet wipe won't help the paint adhere to the glass.
the twine spoils it
Sorry you feel that way, but thanks for watching.
I'm deaf and it would be great if you had closed captioning
Thank you for the feedback. I'll try to work out how to do that.
