I feel like everyone there are walking around like zombies, not even questioning what’s going on. Joey and the camera person are the only awake ones.
I've been a meat eater all my life. The last 2 days I have been extremely conflicted with the moral and ethical implications that comes with it. I've been searching for a sound argument FOR the stance that eating meat/dairy products is ok but I am unable to find one as of yet. Anything I come up with I can rip apart myself. Been watching Joey's videos for 2 days straight. This leaves me with only two options... become vegan, or hold my hands up and openly declare i'm a fucking hypocrite.
EDIT: I have received a hell of a lot of support, thank you for that. I think I might create some kind of social media account so I can video everything that i'm doing... i'm going to become vegan only and see if I can add a whole inch to my arms in a few months by eating vegan. Is there anybody here who is media savvy and can help me out setting it up?

There is only one argument 'for' eating meat/dairy which Vegans cannot argue against:

Your two options "Become Vegan" or "Accept im a hypocrtite" was the cross road I came to 2 years ago. I chose Vegan and honestly don't think I'll ever look back. I actually enjoy and appreciate food so much more.
Become Vegan dude.. I did it over night. Now that you have this mindset, your guilt will only torment you if you keep eating meat and other animal products.

Very brave to go to a dairy convention and challenge the crowd there. Naturally they all felt attacked, but I am sure that some of them already suffer internally because they know what they do is wrong. Hopefully they will find the courage to align their actions with their values one day like quite a few other dairy farmers already have. imagine being a chicken in the egg industry being on your period every single day (because we bred them to do this) losing all that nutrients made to normally produce 1 fucking egg a month! getting all that taken away without being able to eat it back up (thats what they do to get the nourishment back in their body from losing it producing the egg)
and then also just being on your period every day. they litterally drop DEAD because they have fucking period cramps every day and lose the will to live or just die because the cramps are so bad.

Vegan For The Animals Ⓥ i know it’s wrong but I love the taste of meat and for body building. I don’t think about the process because I grew up with meat being presented differently. Food with meat just tastes too damn good compared to vegan food to even consider it. I’ll eventually cut down my meat intake but never quit as it’s a luxury item

Vegan food can be incredible, it's just that most people have never explored vegan food that much, and they don't realize that a lot of the food they already love is vegan. I'd also recommend watching Earthlings so you can connect more with the process - it's too easy to be detached from the process if you've never actually seen what happens to the animals.

Good point but it’s just how humans live. There maybe a world based on veganism but that will be more than 1000 years in my eyes because a balanced diet is key to a long lasting life. Just eating plants or meat will not be healthy putting aside the morals.

Cause regardless of the past new and more thorough research is showing plant based vegan diet to be the best for health all round. Morals completely aside, heart disease is the biggest killer and vegans have been shown who follow a whole food plant based diet to have almost zero % risk of heart disease as opposed to vegetarians and omnivores . I highly recommend researching the dangers of animal products on humans. Put simple there is nothing balanced about it. its simply hard to digest, cancer causing and determent to the planet itself due to its demand and tax on nature, thats morals fully aside, but imo the fact something has to die, be raped and exploited just to consume is a huge red flag. nothing natural about it.

If we didn’t breed the cows like that and take their calves away, they wouldn’t suffer that discomfort and pain. If dairy farmers really do care about their cattle and really are passionate about animal welfare like they claim to be, why do they do this?
Saying that you really care about and love the animals and really care about their welfare and then AI’ing them and causing pain, taking their young away and causing them and their young great distress, cutting the tails and teeth of pigs, gassing and shredding up live male chicks and ultimately sending them all off to be electric-tonged, bolt-gunned, put through an electrified water bath, gassed and then slashed across the throat for hamburgers, bacon, chicken nuggets, KFC, steak and hoisin duck is hypocrisy. It can’t be excused. It is unnecessary.

You can still go vegan with the exception of your medicine. If you are living in a regular, westernised society (or even an Asian society or some other societies), going vegan (albeit with the exception of your medicine), should be very doable.
Even though you need your medicine, it is still better to avoid contributing unnecessarily to animal cruelty in the meat, fish, dairy and egg industries...

Milking cows doesn’t harm the cows, in fact it helps them. The calves are removed and raised really healthily. Better than a mother cow can. It’s good when cows are milked because it removes weight. Hi Joey, I use to work a lot of these events in the UK (not animal industry related but in the events industry in these event centers). You could apply to be an exhibitor at these events and they wouldn't be able to kick you out. Registration for exhibitors is normally open when the previous years events closes. You would most likely be able to get a very cheap space at the event due to not having any power requirements, special requests and needing such a small space.
@Meg True, the chances are its organised by an events logistics company and not the dairy industry directly but I couldn't be certain.

I volunteer as a hunter education instructor. One thing I teach my students is about vegan/animal rights activists in our area. I tell them that they are hateful, and they can be violent. The best thing to do is just call for a fish and game officer.

I honestly don’t know how you do it, Joey, I think it’s so brave of you to go to these types of things and farms and see all the sadness and suffering of the animals. You do that for them, so you can film them and be their voice when they can’t speak. You’re one of the people who inspired me to try and be more active in my beliefs, I’ve been a vegetarian for almost eight years and a vegan for almost two, and I’ve never had the strength to be more active, but now I understand that I need to be strong for the animals suffering. Thank you so much for all of your work and videos!

@@slunk5388 the "estrogen" found within soy beans is actually called "phytoestrogen" and it is a non-steroid compound (so, not a hormone and doesn't actually increase estrogen levels) while "actual" milk has a plethora of hormones in it, including estrogen. also, what's manly about stealing a baby cow from their mother and then giving them a milk substitute that leaves them malnourished while they are stuck in a small little cage waiting for their turn to be exploited?

There was a "competition " at the Ecka in Brisbane a few years back were farmers brought in their cows for viewing much like those dairy cows. They fed them up brushed them and whatever else they do to make them look there best , paraded them around judging who knows what saying how much they loved them and then the last stage of the comp they chopped them up to show the marbling of the meat.
Taking a life for the sake of a photo on their living room wall and a ribbon around the neck.

Its just an animal. Its life is worthless when compared to human needs or wants. Humans have the right coz were superior in every way. We are the apex predators in a food chain and nothing can stop us. Not even ourselves.

Assigning the label 'murder' to animal slaughter is an opinion, because animal slaughter does not meet the standard definition of the word 'murder.' You have to change the definition on the basis of your opinion to justify using the label.

The farmers can't progress, vegans stall the March forward by demeaning and demonizing the farmers.
