some time i get this on a plane, i have asthma, i like flying it is just the feeling sometimes comes over me. I cannot say this there or in a public place:) but i found sitting here at home I was able to do this without sound and it relaxed me, and I said OhhhhJesus in a long 15 seconds as that is what i prefer to say:)Wonderful exercise I did just now as was feeling stressed and the tightness came over me, I have also saved your other breathing and lung ones. I really want to imporve this, I have lost weight and feeling better about things but need to not have this tight feeling :) I love your neck ones and sciatica ones:)

OM CHANTING HAS BEEN PROVEN SCIENTIFICALLY TO WORK. THERE ARE DIFFENT WAYS OF CHANTING IT. THE ONE I LEARNED IN INDIA WAS FOR 10 SECONDS: AUM- 2 SECS FOR FOR THE 'A', 3 SECS FOR THE 'U' WHICH IS PRONOUNCED AS "OOH", AND 5 SECS FOR THE 'M'. WORKS WONDERS. IT'S RECOMMENDED TO DO IT FOR AT LEAST 10MIN 3× A DAY OR FOR A FULL 30 MINUTES ONCE A DAY. ALTERNATELY THEY ALSO RECOMMEND LISTENING TO AUM CHANTING THROUGHOUT THE DAY OR FOR INSOMNIA PLAYING IT THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT.
    IT'S Q LIFE SAVER!1

At 4:53 you say "do it in a relaxed position, where is quiet". What if you do not have the luxury of such space. What if your sole problem that is causing you all the anxiety, stress and pain comes from the surrounding noise, that you can't escape? Please make a video of how to deal with noise problems. Thank you for all your good ideas/techniques in the past and in the coming future.

I instinctively tried the deep breathing method after I crushed my fingernail under a heavy garden table I upended, except my vocalizations were more of the whimpering variety... more like ARGHHHH OHHH FUUUUUCKINGHELL! The sweating an nausea eased after my not-very-Sympathetic Nervous System slowly disengaged. Really what I would have preferred would have been a fight and flight response from the pain and its side effects.

Doc, no offence to you or anyone else, but how is it possible to breathe 5 seconds and exhale 15 seconds? I kind of timed you and you did it for about 3 seconds in and 8 seconds out. Would that be good enough? Just curious. It would be pointless to do this if you are doing it incorrectly, right? Or can you still get the benefits?
