I think you made an excellent choice. I carry the G19 but prefer the grip of the G17. I’d love to upgrade to the G45 but for now, I try to carry with a 17rd mag and Xgrip sleeve. Thanks for sharing!!!
I’ve always thought the 45/19x is the worst idea for a Glock ever. All the downsides of a large frame but also all the downsides of a shorter barrel/slide. Small frame and large barrel/slide makes sense for a lot of reasons but not the other way around. What about this setup do you like???
@@usernamesrlamo I actually pocket carry it, so the shorter barrel keeps it lower for me. I also have a Glock 17, but to be honest, I am not sure that it has ever been fired. Currently I carry a Sig P365 X Macro Comp, but am sure I will go back to the G45 at some point.
I live in Alabama and all you need for a carry permit is a background check by the county sheriff. I carry a G45 with the same light with Radian afterburner/ramjet and the guardian with integrated sights with RMR 6.5 moa in the winter and 43X with holosun 407k and tlr sub 7 in the summer with dagger micro 15 round magazines. Nice setup you have there. Too bad there are restrictive states. 17 round mags in my g45.
I thought Alabama was a constitutional carry state too. My sister in law and her husband live there but they have permits to carry. We live in Ohio and Ohio is a constitutional carry state.
@@andrewbrumagen3479 Alabama is a CC state but a lot of us like to support our local sheriff’s and that is a way for us to do that. Also I travel into Georgia and Florida a lot and you need a permit for that.

I used to live there fortunately I moved out of the state, I lived in Chicago too. Where we live that's a constitutional carry state. I think my next firearm would be a 45 or a FNX-9 I like hammered fired guns.

In Massachusetts we can not have a magazine that goes over 10 RDs, unless its Pre-Ban 94. You can't buy from a dealer a Glock unless its a Gen2, we have a roster similar to California but also we have the consumer protection act that firearms have to meet. 1. 10 RD capacity 2. Round indiquer 3. 10-12 lb trigger pull, not always enforced 4. Rifles some have to have 10 Rds Mags bolted to the gun. 5. Rifles no collapsing butt stocks 6. Rifles no cages or flash suppressors All gun manufactures must submit each model separately of gun for approval for a fee of $10,000-$15,000 weather approved or not. Didn't Illinois pass some Dradraconian gun control laws recentley?
Yes they did. On January 10th 2023 J.B. Pritzker's "Protect Illinois Communities Act" went into effect. It's basically Illinois' version of an assault weapons ban. There's a laundry list of firearms that are banned along with the list of things that qualify a firearm to be considered an assault weapon. Here's the list if you are interested - www.ispfsb.com/public/downloadableresource.ashx?id=401. As of the date those items can no longer be sold, bought, or transferred. Those who own them had until January 1st 2024 to register them with the state or face a class 2 felony. It only had a little over 1% compliance. Magazines are limited to 10 rounds for a rifle and 15 rounds for a pistol but you can still keep the "high cap" mags that you already own. This is the basic info. I believe they have a ban on .50 BMG as well.
When I bought the G45 last year that you see in the video I had a choice to make. They came from factory with the standard 17 round Glock magazine. First choice was to have to pay extra to have the shop permanently modify the mags to only accept 15 rounds OR I could let them keep them and take a discount on the pistol. Since I already had several 17 round Glock mags I opted for the discount. However I did purchase a couple Glock made 15 rounders so I could carry.

@@ericg649 Thanks for the input! If you like the idea of the full size grip with the 19 slide you definitely won’t regret moving to the G45.
My Glock 45 is always the gun I go back to. I put a Johnny Glock combat trigger in mine as well as Hololsun Vulcan green retical optic.

I have an overwatch tac in mine. Short reset and keeps about a 4.5 lb. wall and NP3 robar coating.

G45 🔥. SLx RS-10 👍. The TLR-7(A) would be more compact and same length as muzzle.
Having the light stick out a little doesn't really bother me a whole lot. It would be worse with a X300
