Guns have different trigger responses, and its not the triggers with the problems.. its the people pulling the trigger! : / PRACTICE WILL CORRECT MOST PROBLEMS WITH ANY TRIGGERS!
The G45 is my new favorite Glock model. In my opinion it’s nicer to shoot than the 17 or the 19 because of the combination of the full size grip and compact slide. Less reciprocating mass with more to hold onto.
Couple months and a few hundred rounds later. I have grown more comfortable with the Glock 45. This and the Gen 5 Glock 34 are the most comfortable of any Glock that I own. In my opinion the G 45 is the best all round pistol. The G 34 is a nightstand gun in addition to being a favorite range gun. When the 34 isn’t out there’s a Mossberg 590SP at bedside for those things that go bump in the night. All my defensive weapons have various Streamlight weapon lights.
My G45 is one of my favorites. I replaced the trigger with a Overwatch Precision trigger, mainly because I didn't care for the feel of the stock trigger. Also added the holosun SCS MOS. I've tried a threaded barrel but the stock barrel is fine.
I've had a G45 for a few months now and I can attest the the trigger being a little off at first, but a good clean up with a fine file and then just sit there and dry fire it a few dozen times to mate the surfaces(with oil on them) or some good range time if you don't want to dry fire makes it as smooth as butter on the take up and makes the break crisp. Oh and taking the trigger out and rounding out and cleaning up that pesky trigger safety(not disabling it) so make it more comfortable on the finger when pressed in, a must imo, makes it much more pleasant to shoot for extended periods. If your not comfortable modifying your trigger in anyway though, I would suggest bringing it to a gunsmith, I've heard they will clean one up for around 50 bucks. alternatively there is video's on what needs to be filed and how available all over the net.
Eric. I’ve owned a Glock 45 for several months now. That pistol and I are friends. I love the way it shoots. Accurate and dependable. I’ve upgraded to a Tungsten guide rod and TruGlo Pro Tritium/Fiberoptic sights. These equip all my pistols. The Tungsten guide rod further mitigates the minimal muzzle flip. Glock has got a winner with the redesign of the grip. I like it so much that I purchased a Gen 5 Glock 34. A great range gun.
