I know this man is probably wearing gloves, but I like to think he is actually a smurf that is extremely knowledgeable about guns. Great video by the way, Just picked up the 45 MOS a few days ago. first hand gun, so absorbing some info and trying to find ammo.
Also, I’ve found it helps to use acetone on the new front sight threads, as well as in/around the hole, prior to applying loctite. Mine hasn’t come loose again since doing that.
Fyi both sets of screws to attach the rmr you used are wrong. When yoy get the plate they make screws that are basically in the middle size got mine on ebay amazon also has
@@chaddking8333 ah. Because there's this issue with the g43x wherein adding loctite to fix the optic would trickle down into the extractor plunger and would sometimes cause it to freeze up and fail to extract. I just found out that due to the wider slide on the 45, 19, 17, etc, that the hole isn't directly above the extractor so the exposure is just slightly on the side and is minimal. Loctite doesnt drip in there as long as you don't pour too much in there. Also a tip, add the loctite closer to the head of the screw and not the shaft. That way, the part of the screw with the loctite would not reach the hole which would prevent the loctite from coming in contact with the extractor plunger hole.
You can with chalk or something, but I tend to just eyeball it first then use a small ruler to measure the clearance on the left and right of the rear sight. That seems to work well. Hit that subscribe button my friend.
I believe it is TG231G1MW If you go on Amazon look up, TRUGLO Tritium Pro Glow-in-The-Dark Handgun Night Sights for Glock Pistols, then click on Glock MOS 17, 19, 22, 23
I have a G45 MOS. You might want to ditch the Glock plate for a C&H V4. I went with the MIL/LEO version but they have a polymer version too. www.chpws.com/product/v4-mil-leo-glock-mos-to-trijicon-rmr-holosun-407c-407c-v2-507c-507c-v2-508t-and-508t-v2
@@scottshoe842 I have been seeing comments to that effect. But everything I read so far seems to be a screw issue, either inferior screws or not using proper torque driver. I haven't found any plate or recoil pin breaking so far. What is the common failure mode to let the rmr fly off?
Pro tip. Use a light color yoga mat instead of that blanket. Makes finding little parts much easier…😅

hey man if you look down into the right-side screw hole on the slide, is the extractor channel visible?
Why? I’m curious because I recently had my slide milled on my G45, and the extractor channel is visible.

Nice video. I have the same setup except I'm mounting a Holosun 507c to mine.

Can you mark the slide from the original sights to align it from the front post?
