- Hey! This video is meant for people that are having a hard time deciding between the two protagonist and what my plan is. As i said in the video, at the end of the day the choice is yours and as long as you have fun with the game thats all that matters.

Do not focus on choosing the MC, but rather whos gonna be the Assistant.

For Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, I've picked the male option. I was debating to pick Belle. But i will just keep going with the male protagonist.

Belle is quirky and adorable.
Wise is cool and collected, but easy going at the same time. He reminds me of Ren, the Persona 5 protag.

I feel like Wise for me since he’ll be the older brother who does the job as a proxy and he’s slightly faster than Belle, meaning that Belle should be working at the store imo and does more of the talking 😅.
No hate tho! I love both Belle and Wise equally which made my decision hard however…Wise is a bit more serious and slightly sarcastic, and his room is more neat than Belle’s.

(this game is different, you might regret it because you won't hear her voice as a navigator, she won't wake you up and say goodnight and wait for you at home and call you "onii-chan". it's really more about POV and whether you want to be the little sister or you want to hangout with your little sister)

These choices are always the hardest whenever you start a hoyo game 😂. Best advice i can give is go wtih who you want to walk around with and talk to npcs with.
Usually I choose female mc over male mc but for zzz I prefer male mc, my reason is I don't wanna be somebody's cute little sister.

I hate how Wise's colors are greyscale and how they blend pretty awkwardly for me, like a melted ice cream or a bleached cloth you forgot in the laundry. His design is okay, it's just that his colors are not it for me. It looks like a smudge.
On the other hand, that hand animation when Belle walks is bugging me so hard. There's nothing else. Normally, that means it's an easy pick but I can't get past the whole hand swaying thing.
I've almost always pick the male MC, this is the only one I had to really scrunch.
Personaly, I did chose the female MC because her design with no second thougths about it. However, now I get an alienation feeling every dialogue. On the other hand, in Wuthering Waves this doesn't happend and I think is because in the lore of WW, both the female and the male MC are kind off "the same person" or same "soul" or whatever; didn't mind it and I went like "I already chose the female MC in WW, let's keep it that way" for my surprise, it didn't felt the same and thats because Wise and Belle are, indeed, different persons instead of the "same" like in WuWa. Now I feel bad for not having seen this video before.
I regretted choosing the woman in Genshin, and in HSR I chose the MC and I loved it, although Wise's designer is not better than Belle, I liked his personality, but in the end it doesn't matter much (every time and missions we interact with each other as if we were playing with both of them) I loved it even more,...and Belle calling me Onichan, it's so cute

Does choosing mc affect who are you going to save of twins during Storyline or its fixed event? Now I am really conflicted was it better decision picking goofy-like expressive Belle instead of stick-up-arse Wise lol

I didn't know the character I chose would talk less, so I have some regret choosing Belle.
I have the same issue in Genshin, I wish I'd chosen Aether, because Lumine feels much more convincing as the Abyss Princess
Oh well. I do like Wise as my Second Assistant, Belle's got charm and I despise rerolling so I'll just live with it.
Yeah its true that the person you choose would talk less but overall youll be seeing them more often and in more scenarios so honestly i dont think you made a bad decision
You can say that again, on my alt I chose Lumine and thanks to that - now that I'm in Sumeru, the scene of Lumine crying in the hut from the "The Road Not Taken" animated short plays in my mind *Doesn't help that I always have the song playing when i'm there either*

You will be answering as the character you choose so pick who u want to walk around and answer dialogue as. I agree, i feel like people are hating on wises design but imo it really isnt that bad and he makes it up in his personality. That being said hoyo defo did him dirty compared to belle. I chose Wise because of a tradition of choosing male protagonists, even though my heart was telling me to choose Belle because of her adorable design and voice. That had me instantly regret it then.
Now that I've watched this video, my hasty decision is starting to look less and less like a mistake as I'm seeing it.
I feel better knowing that I get to keep the tradition, whilst getting to hear more of Belle which I'd love to experience.
Them not getting involved in combat themselves makes me feel even better, now that it feels like I'm missing out on a lot less.

I dont have sister, so actually, choose belle looks like I finally got myself a little sister to care for. Unlike Genshin and HSR, choose 1 mc and you couldnt interact to other. ZZZ is making a new move and I tried playing this game just bcs of that

I actually like Belles running animation. It’s overly exaggerated but in a cute cartoonish and quirky way. Idk. 😄I just like it. That being said, I think I’ll choose the male mc (Wise). Since usually in these games the MC always ends up having flirtatious dialogue with all the female characters, and I’m not really about that yuri stuff, I’d rather play as the guy this time.

You actually make a good point. This game is overly animated and thats why i love it so much. It makes sense for belle to run around in such an animated way. I agree with the dialogue. In both hsr and genshin, I always miss out on the flirty dialogue and it just doenst feel right when playing the female mc.
hope you havent picked then cause there havent been any flirty dialogues and tbh Belle is so much more fun as the main MC and having Wise be the responsible older brother in the store
@@marymint9702 Tbf, there are parts in the game where you can go on "dates" with the agents, but that's about it for now. Maybe later on in the story there might be more flirty parts, but we'll have to see.

my headcanon for this both mc was like:
if you pick Wise, you get the mc who do all the work while his sister do a little job as an assistant. While if you choose Belle, she can do all she want while Wise will do most thing like plannin and protecting people without been seen kinda guy.
I also seen from other RUclipsrs that Wise and Belle has different personality. Wise is the wise, calm, mature, big brother personality. And Belle has that happy go lucky, little sister, a certain quirks about her.
You can see through game progress and interactions and options of dialogue is unique from each other.

But imo, as someone who’s more or less gender neutral- I picked Aether cus he had pants lmao.
I just feel like Wise’s official design didn’t get fully translated into the model for the game which honestly sucks. But yeah- the running for belle is definitely a bit dopey.
I like this comparison though, it’s pretty nice to see the mentions via social links/ running styles.

@@user-1767 characters will only talk during story related missions, but during this both belle and wise will talk. The only time wise wont talk when belle will or vise versa is in the tv mode where the sibling you dont choose will talk as a guide.

if you like Wise for his voice, then pick Belle as the MC. that way Wise constantly still talks even during the TV modes.

For genshin n Honkai I chose Aether n Caelus cause I overall liked their design n voices more, I chose Belle here, though I LOVE Wise, I feel like they could’ve done more w his design
I always choose the female mc in hoyo games so I chose Belle, but I'm liking Wise more so I kinda regret my choice. Wish there was a way to switch the mc as it wouldn't really affect the story much anyways.
I feel like belle makes more sense as the mc. wise is better to be our guide because of his calm personality. I've done comparison between them as a guide and I only feel assured with wise guiding me as compared to belle

Wise is OBJECTIVELY correct choice. You get to larp as an absolute Gigachad that oozes Alpha energy that makes an average Belle picker seethe in anger and jealousy(because you can never be as cool as Wise) while enjoying Belle being your side kick and hearing her pleasant voice constantly.
I agree! Haven't started zzz yet but I think I'll pick wise cuz i enjoy the idea of having belle as a companion with a more bubbly personality like paimon or march. normally i'd pick the female mc (im a girl) but its nice to switch it up
nope. choosing Belle makes for some storylines to actually require you to play Wise which is so much better. choosing Wise just fully makes the other sibling an NPC which is really boring and defeats the cool ability to switch and play both.

BELLE for sure! Belle as the MC makes for some sibling storylines to be much more interesting. choosing MC Belle and later on having her get stuck in the Hollows allows you to play as Wise to run around and save her. MUCH more interesting and fun vs picking Wise from the get-go and just... saving your NPC sibling. Belle also seems to have a lot more protagonist event/tropes (Zhy Yuan saving her from the car. Wise being the best older brother saving her from the hollows) plus Belle definitely radiates ' all the characters love her cause she's like everyone's younger sister ' energy.
Wise looks like your typical calm/cool/stoic older brother, and that's great, but him as the MC just feels... less fun/exciting? he's so calm/clean/collected that it makes it kinda boring vs. how cheerful and expressive Belle is.
You see it in their outfits and rooms as well. Belle looks more polished (not cause of unequal treatment from the designers) but cause it's in her personality to be expressive and have lots of fun colors and mismatching socks with the asymmetrical skirt thing and the big chunky shoes. the fun shaped bracelets and zipper earrings.
While Wise may look under designed, but that's just cause his personality is very calm, simple and clean, put together. hence less 'fun/chaos' in his outfit choice.
