Hoyo is going back to its roots with ZZZ it seems. I don't think they'll ever go back to putting characters in wedding attire and having them profess their love for the player, but ZZZ is far more obvious when it comes to the self-insert stuff than Genshin or HSR. I'm not complaining tho! And from what I've seen ZZZ is planting hints with a lot of characters, which is nice. Imagine liking a character and getting no crumbs while Lycaon lovers get this. I hope they keep it up.
