With the lore that Diablo have, it could be made into good movies. The whole story arc of Lilith and Inarius founded Sanctuary, and eventually the downfall of them both, are able to be made into atleast a trilogy.

I still remember because I was like a sore tumb among the rest of the onlookers for that specific movie.

If you want me to be completely accurate, the D2 cinematics are fully remade in 4k, the D3 cinematics are upscaled from 1k to 4k, and the Immortal and D4 were originally made in 4k too so upscaling was not required. It’s just easier to say it how I did in my original post.

These cinematics create the ambiance where the game starts, it's an entire story cuts by beautiful movie like scene, but your gameplay just tie the different chapters. the second game is still a masterpiece to this day.
My teacher used to fuss about how I could recite Mephisto's entire "portal opening" scene, word for word, yet I could not -for the life of me- remember lines in whatever was being taught at the time. Stuff like Macbeth, R&J, Mockingbird, etc etc. Now, if they had brought in HG Wells or HP Lovecraft, I would of jumped on that.
I had the same problem in my lit classes. My professor told me it was simply because I enjoyed the stuff I was submitting and the other stuff I just got through was more of a task. This material is phenomenal though, I'd really like to start exploring more stuff like this and the lore.
Mockingbird is a great story, however they really do need to introduce more shit into classes that are outside the 'generic popular stories/movies'. There is a lot of amazing stories in horror/scifi and video games but a lot of these schools and teachers are too stuck up to cover it.

Blizzard has always been able to do incredible graphics with their animations. I have always said they should start making movies with it, but instead they just used it for cut scenes and promos for WoW and Diablo.
They better win awards for that cinematic masterpiece alone. The detail. The love and care. Seriously the most beautiful decision was to make the blood sacrifice flake off into rose petals as she descends from the blood-gate. Then that same gate, becomes like a veil or cape to illustrate her dominion over all of hell. Then the beating heart seen through her semi-translucent skin. Practically a perfect animation.

The updated graphics is all well and good, but watching this takes me back to that era of gaming and that's the best part for me.

Imperius has fire for Valor, and honesty I think Tyriel is light for pure Justice. The Archangel of Fate is likely water given fates fluidity.

bc I thought lilith bore basically humans and we (in the lore) are all her children. not just rathma who I originally thought was her and inarius' son.

Indeed, both Inarus and Lilith created sanctuary to protect their child, cuz u know, angels and devils thought of them as a threat and also a huge power house for their sides, they seek to control everything in the lore, so Inarus hide them until they became more like humanity nowdays

animation in games are much better than that of movies, wth?
Watch avatar 2 and you’ll see, it’s just about how much money a studio has, sometimes graphics can be really good and yet movement and actual “animation” can be chunky cause that stuff is mega expensive
