Hi Summer ! I am happy to see your new channel!! Congrats! I recently bought Moroccanoil beach mouse thinking it was a typical volume mouse. OMG what a mistake! I did not expect it to be so different, uber tacky and sticky feeling compared to a regular volume mouse. It made the blow out take forever and I could barely run a brush through my hair as I blow dried as the brush kept getting caught in my hair. The tacky dirty feeling was profound and lasted until my next shampoo 5 days later. Geezaloo! 😖 Beachy mouse is not the same as volume mouse, evidently! I would love a part 2 video about all the various texture sprays and please touch on how beachy texture sprays & mousses differ from regular texture sprays. And I would also love to see a video on how and when to clean the build up gunk from various types of hair brushes and hot tools. Thanks!

I gave away all my salt sprays and texture sprays. I can just go to the beach and have the ocean spray on me for free. The only texture spray I love is the famous and very expensive Oribe. I received samples and absolutely loved it so that made me buy a bunch of others thinking I could recreate the experience. Nope.

First, thank you, Summer, for all your great videos!
My new stylist who really seems to understand my flat, fine, flyaway, gummy/ cotton candy, over-lightened hair, recommended LolaVie Glossing Detangler, Bumble & Bumble Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry, and Bumble & Bumble Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray. I also hit it, and especially the flyaways, with a little Kenra 25. My stylist also suggested Bumble & Bumble bonding shampoo and conditioner, but I haven't tried them yet. I tried the Ouai shampoo and conditioner, but they seem to dry and make my ends frizz together into a knotted mess. I tried the Olaplex and Living Proof shampoos and conditioners, but even they can weigh my hair down. I've actually had better luck with Marc Anthony Grow Long shampoo and conditioner for making my hair feel light and clean and still pretty smooth and silky. I'm still trying to figure out heat protectants because I know it's important, but man, it's an awful lot of products when added to the other things, which I can't stand the feel of -any- products; and I've found it tends to block the heat so much my hair won't curl at all with it.

Im so glad i found your channel. I have been using Redken Bug Blow Out because its light and allows me to go about 4 days without washing. But I really want to try a cream since my ends are dry even though my hair is pretty short compared to yours. Now to decide which one. I am also in the middlenof growing out my gray so my roots can be dryer as I've aged. Thanks 50. Keep making these great videos for us fine haired girls.

I’ve been watching your videos for tips to help out my Mom. This is a totally new world to me as I’m a curly girl with lots of volume. I need a one product solution that’s not going to feel very producty because my Mom is in her early ‘70’s and has gone her whole life without putting anything in her hair. I think I’m going to try the Small Talk and see how it works. I wish I could try it out on myself first like I’m doing with makeup but our hair is way too different. A big unknown is if I can convince her to use a hair dryer.

As a fellow Floridian, I 100% get the heat/humidity/sweat struggle! My question is for the latter. I am not one of those gals who just “glows” when it’s 95 and 70% humidity…I sweat!! I find that any product I use tends to reshape or reset (not sure how to describe this) to totally flat once I’ve been outside doing life! You go walk to the playground, park you car in the back 40 at Target, having duty outside at school, etc etc. I get sweaty, my scalp gets damp, and then the product gets re-wet, and then once back inside in the AC, my hair is flat with zero volume. Sometimes I just blow dry with zero product just because I get frustrated that the work I put into styling is worthless by 10am!! Help! Since I don’t carry a blow dryer in my purse 😂 do you have any suggestions for how to deal with what Florida dishes out 6 months of the year?
    Thanks!!

The styling cream is great! I like their mousse over the volume cream. The volume cream is nice but you need very little product or it's to heavy feeling. If volume is more your priority use that first but if you want more tlc with the hydrating cream, then use that first!

    • @SummerBeautyc

No it is not a heat protectant. You would want to use a secondary product that provides heat protection. I love so many things Moroccan Oil but it does bum they don't seem to mix in a heat protectant with other products always.

A volume cream I do find to be less drying than other volume products, just give them some time because they can be really concentrated, so figuring out the perfect amount needed for your hair type can take a couple blow dries.
