Insanely well especially if you watch the interview from the real life Martha, Fiona Harvey. How she captured exactly who the woman is without knowing who she is is insane.
I think the reason Jessica auditioned for the role 4 times is because she probably scared Richard the first time with just how triggering her acting was and brought Martha back to him. Nobody can do this like she did. What a talent. I’m glad she hit it big now.
It's crazy that the actual person she was based on (Fiona) was triggered about who they chose to play her when she should be flattered. Fiona looks like a sock
See if you can find ‘outlaws’ it’s a BBC comedy that she is in and her character is brilliant, she embodies it again so well, totally different character but she is equally as great
She’s been so loyal to him and his name since some of the backlash came out. I think the chemistry between them is great both on the show and off. Together they’re a creative force.
OMG. Now I NEED her in a Misery reboot. I absolutely love Kathy Bates and her oscar was MORE than deserved for her role as Annie, but I’ve always wanted to see a Misery reboot that’s a closer adaptation of the book, which is way, way more terrifying than the movie was.
Agree, her interview with Piers was fascinating. It's obvious that Fiona Harvey has issues, but nonetheless, she caused distress to these people and their families. A very dangerous woman.
I thought his old comedy routines on RUclips were better than what he portrayed in the show. He has a vaudeville vibe, and he’s quite good at physical comedy.
The whole idea is fascinating. To be stalked is horrifying. Happy this guy is able to benefit from being the victim. Most don’t. But sending it out there is a good thing; people can learn from this.
The thing I loved about his movie was that every person ( adult person) has experienced both characters..the one who wants to be be accepted -although rejected and the other character who wants to get rid of someone who won't go away.
I don't want to sound rude but, if it became such a huge success because Jessica did an incredible job. She was so great, because her, everybody could find the real Marta
They're both fantastic. I love Jessica. Never heard of her before BR but now am watching The Outlaws just because she's in it. Her smile is amazing. Can see the happiness behind her eyes. Richard is a fantastic actor too. His comedy was rubbish lol but it's all paid off when he created BR. I completely get how he used this as therapy too. It does work. Done it myself. Just writing things down helps come to terms with trauma. Just hope he can come to terms with everything and live a long happy life. Well done to the whole cast. Hope they create something else together. including the trans girlfriend. She was fantastic too. All deserve Emmy's for their acting ❤
I found it odd how they're avoiding the massive controversy about the "real life Martha" now suing Netflix and the legal ramifications it brings to the table.
So .....people have publicists who tell interviewers before the interview happens which questions are okay to ask and which are not. In this particular case, I'm sure his lawyers are also giving him some guidance Now that you know that, watch someone who does all of the late night shows and notice that they're telling the same funny story on all of the shows
Like every narcissist ever, Fiona Harvey has chosen to sue, to fight, to deny, to lie, to deflect, to obfuscate..........and she has requested a jury trial. As a stalker, she has committed a crime. She is not entitled to payouts just because she does not like the consequences. My heart goes out to her for the unresolved trauma she refuses to address from her childhood. The rest of us seek treatment and find the grace, the courage and self-respect to do the gruelling work of healing our wounds. I hope Netflix fights to the very end. This is a critical precedent. Do not pay her a cent.
Fiona Harvey will;; get a lot of money if she sues, Gadd lied she is NOT a convicted stalker there is due process that everyone is entitled to and you cannot call people convicted stalkers if there were NOT. Shame on Netflix for not fact-checking.
I agree with you precisely and part of the healing journey is acknowledging our own mistakes with humility and learning from them in order to move on. FH could have used her voice on piers Morgan show to say that and she would have earned and army of new fans out of respect.
Have you watched the piers Morgan interview he had with Fiona Harvey .. if not please watch it she’s in absolute denial ....piers Morgan has also done a interview with the lady barrister that Fiona Harvey stalked too ....
This was a great series and I love how its success reinforces that original content that pushes the envelope can be successful and is a worthwhile investment. (I understand it's an adaptation of Gadd's stage performance, but it's still something fresh compared to a lot of rehashing of existing IP)
She is very pretty with lovely skin and hair! I do not think she resembles the real woman at all. She is way more attractive and much heavier than the real Fiona.
Who is the interviewer in magenta? (If it's Jenna, she looks more like one of the characters in White Chicks than herself, but maybe it's someone else. Still looks like one though).
what good is it doing? People who have been victims of this can get triggered by such visceral recreations and I don't see where anybody else benefits from it?

If that ego junkie sues, his evidence comes out in discovery and she prolongs her own torment. Not a wise move from a narcissistic pathological liar. He has plausible deniability as long as he never confirms or denies who the characters are. PS. It only said "This is a true story" on the first episode to be pedantic. 😏
