Really fun and relaxing. Your presentation is great. I wear my friendship paracord most of the time, just finished my 40cal bracelet. A blast. Thanks again.
I use 9mm with 550 Paracord or 3mm braided leather glued and wrapped around 8ga bare copper wire. It makes a very nice bracelet. No need for magnets because the bare 8 ga wire is rigid enough to hold its shape. I've made about 40 of these. I've used 45s but the 9 mm fits better. Nice video thanks!
I have wanted to make this bracelet and didn't know where to get the casings, but I ordered them from your website. I hope to have them within the next day or so. I was only able to find 12 gauge wire when I went to Wal-Mart, but I will go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy some 10 or 8 gauge wire. Love shopping at Bored Paracord
+Stewart Buckley Copper is not magnetic so I am not sure that putting magnets in the casings would do anything other than taking up space in the casing. If you are suggesting the magnets for health reasons...that would depend on if you believe in the health benefits that some believe magnets provide...just my 2 cents worth take if for what you will.
Not for health reasons, but I do wear a anion bracelet that generates negative ions! I don't think brass would block the attraction. I just tested with 1/4 inch aluminium and it's OK. Cheers :)
ah ...ok I get it now the magnets are to attract each other and close the bracelet...good idea...sorry I did not get what you meant when I first read your comment. Cheers : )
Who knew? 🤷🏼♀️ I got 12 gauge copper wire 3ft for $1.12. I have a LOT of 9mm Luger casings. My boyfriend does his own ammo reloading so we have a kitty litter size bucket full of 9mm brass we reuse and I just made my first bracelet with 9mm casing. I use the ones without the spent primer and took some birthstones I got from hobby lobby and use June for my birthday and July for his birthday. Turned out pretty cool. I think I was having trouble wrapping the cord around the wire. But I managed to get it done. Thanks for sharing the video!
I do mine a little differently. I use gutted cord, and put the wire core inside a piece of gutted cord. I then put a skull bead in the middle, then use E6000 glue to glue a piece of cord to each end and let it set. I then wrap to the skull and back to the end on each side, then glue that in place and let it set. I then trim the ends, then glue the casing in place. It comes out nice and tight. For extra decoration, I put a turks head with a pineapple interweave on each side of the skull, then a simple turks head near each casing. The turks heads help keep everything in place, and look really nice.
the primer ignites the power in the shell casing which in tune propels the lead bullet . Your video is great thanks for the time you took and inform us. I will let you know how I did with my new bracelets. Deeman
Great vid, thanks! I didn't have spent .40's or 9's but had a handful of spent .45 casings. To make that work, I used 12 gauge wire doubled over. Still a little gap but the doubled over idea may work for .40 cal and 14 gauge wire (for example). This does make the bracelet a little wider/flatter, which doesn't look bad.
Flush cutters or micro flush cutters. Though, they really are made for super thin wire, like 20 to 36 gauge. Cutting 12 gauge solid copper wiring destroys those things. Because the idea of those little things is a precise cut, not a heavy cut. Some regular old flush wire cutters that you can pick up at wal-mart would do just fine for what you need to do in this video.
I wonder if you can use small magnets at the tips of the casings and make them magnetic, then use a flexible cord (or as is). Might try that, it'll give me something to get into.
Didnt have the copper wire, so I used tie wire, its a little more ridged, Doubled the wire and used the drill, it made a perfect twist. Plus the wire will allow you to pinch the cord at the at the end to secure it good. Plus the drill is awesome to twist the cord. It works well with 1,2,3 cords to give more color.
10 or 12 gauge wire copper is what I would use. I'm an electrician those two gauges even going down to 14 which is smaller than 10 and 12 are ideal. You get past 10 gauge wire into 8 and such its getting pretty thick and hard to work with. Great video tho going to have to make one of these!
We have pretty good gun laws and gun culture here in the Philippines. I own an M&P9 Shield, Several Gen4 Glocks plus the big 10mm G20, and two .357 revolvers and I live in Manila! I could just go to the outskirts of the city or somewhere remote and I just have notify the PNP and I could go crazy.
Why didn’t you glue the wire and paracord first like you did at the second end? Also, why not double the wire back on itself then glue to paracord and stick into the shell?
What about two rare-earth magnets glued into the ends of each shell casing? This way you could have a flexible weave / braid and dispense with the wire.
Thank you for posting this tutorial. Ever since I saw these bracelets the other day posted in your Facebook group I've been wondering how to make them but couldn't find a tutorial. I wonder if .45 casings would work or is that too big?
hi, sorry if i ask about the wire and the buletts i m new in Paracord and i dont understand the sizes well i think the bulett is 9mm but the wire please tell me the size by the way good job.
Another idea instead of the inner copper wire. Put small magnets in the bottom of the casing. That way you could use a braid instead of a wrap. You could develop one that is more flexible and a bit looser.
I had a jacket once that had a copper / bronce wire in it around the neck and it made me extremely sick you have no idea how by body reacted, extremly sick, i had to take it out.... so my question is what kinda wire can i use instead ? a regular metal wire ?
Have you ever thought about burying a rare earth magnet inside the bullet casing and building a regular weave after gluing in a double strand of paracord? I wonder if it could work as a magnetic clasp. Maybe you would need to drill out the spent primer, but it could work...hmmmm
Hello, I was wondering if there was anyway you could make me a 9mm bracelet. I'm not very good at making these things and I would love to have one. If not I completely understand. Thank you in advance.
I have no idea how the shiny knuckle plated casing look after they sit for a while (those are found on self defense rounds) but normal brass will petina
I have those same type of glue sticks. So, what I do is pour some alcohol on a paper towel and rub the glue stick. That way I'm able to remove some of that slippery crap. Your glue gun then works better. Who needs shiny glue sticks anyway? By the way, nice bracelet tutorial.
Hi guys I just tried this tutorial and the copper wire will not stay in the shell casing. The paracord will but the wire slides right out. I am letting it set for 10-14 minutes before even wrapping the paracord and the wire pulls right out. What am I doing wrong??
+sticustom What about home construction sites? But i do see why you could not use Aluminum wire. It just might be easier wearing. Give it a try, and please let me know how it works.
+Stan Krieger tried making this with some 2.35mm copper wire I managed to find. I don't know if it was the glue but I glued the end in place and the glue wouldn't hold the wire or the copper. I retried and gave the glue extra time to cure and it still wouldn't hold. Tried a third time and again it wouldn't hold. The wire and paracord just kept pulling out. So I gave up.
+Sam S I don't see why they would care. Spent casings aren't a threat. That said, stupid people abound, someone may complain and force them into at least looking at it, so I'd make sure the primers are spent. As soon as they see the dimple in the primers at least they know it's completely inert.
Wow sone of the question! Copper wire cost more I make them with brake line ! Cost less and comes bigger and smaller. If their spent shells you can resize down to the size you need ! And yea it copper wire not brass
maybe ask a local gun range and ask if they have some spent casing you can rumage through (most have buckets full of them that they either reloaded or recycle some how) and look for 40cal
Cool, but here in Brasil you will be arrested by cops if uses a .40 ou anyone caliber to make a bullet bracelet. Believe it or not. Here,we can't carry neither a empty 22 caliber case.
+green98cavy Yeah fiddling around last night that's what I came up with. I glued 2 different colors into the casing along with the stiffener, and braided a snake knot. Came out ok, I think 45 acp casings would look better, but 44 mag is what I had already. The casings won't fit over the braid, so you have to stop braiding when the other casing will cover the rest.
or you could go to a local gun range and ask if you could get some spent 40 cal casing or whatever caliber you want . your probably have to go rumage through a bucket full of shells though. but 40 cal is pretty common so I doubt I'd take long
Acorn nuts would look good for this as well. And that would have an added benefit of not calling too much attention if you need to enter a government building....

fun and easy to make . I tweaked mine a bit by doing a cobra stitch over the middle, wider bracelet but no gap next to the casing.
It looks like 9mm brass would work perfect with the 12 gauge wire, and some quick curing epoxy would work just as well as the hot glue.
Add some neodinium magnets inside the casings first, so they "lock" together.
I thought the same thing before I even watched the video!
+Stewart Buckley Copper is not magnetic so I am not sure that putting magnets in the casings would do anything other than taking up space in the casing. No probs :)

did this today used a metal coat hangar thanks man
I just thought of using a hanger how did it come out

Nice idea. Would be cool if you could get magnets into the casings as a magnetic clasp. I may try to make one out of some spent 45 shell casings.

Very nice, Shawn! Thank you for another great video with easy to follow instructions.
Hey Shawn. Great tutorial! I own a Smith & Wesson 9 mm pistol. if like to use my 9mm she'll casings. what guage wire should I use?
I wonder if you can use small magnets at the tips of the casings and make them magnetic, then use a flexible cord (or as is). Might try that, it'll give me something to get into.
N English magnets would work if the bracelet is not rigid.....remove the wire and insert the magnets in the bullets
To fill the gap try folding the wire at each end slightly less than the length of the shell
good idea
Considering adding these to my line, had no idea how easy they were to create. And another reason to have a day at the range! Haha
I used .357 sig cases and 8 gauge copper. Looks good hard to bend into place. 10 gauge would probably be perfect
I think the point is to make it look like those viking bracelets. I'm about to try this.
Didnt have the copper wire, so I used tie wire, its a little more ridged, Doubled the wire and used the drill, it made a perfect twist. Thank you for mentioning how to id a spent casing. I have been raised around firearms my whole life but I know many are not.
yeah wouldn't want someone to go buy reloading materials and use a live case Thad be baf
Could you make a video on how to make a para cord bracelet with that style with a buckle?
We have pretty good gun laws and gun culture here in the Philippines. I own an M&P9 Shield, Several Gen4 Glocks plus the big 10mm G20, and two .357 revolvers and I live in Manila! I could just go to the outskirts of the city or somewhere remote and I just have notify the PNP and I could go crazy.
just as a bit of info, a 9mm shell fits a bit more snug with less gap using 12g wire and a wrap of paracord.
Awesome idea and project...thanks for sharing man !
I used 8gage wire for a 45. and it worked perfectly.
And again a great tutorial from da king of paracord !!! :D ROCK ON !! \m/
Thank you for posting this tutorial. Ever since I saw these bracelets the other day posted in your Facebook group I've been wondering how to make them but couldn't find a tutorial. I wonder if .45 casings would work or is that too big?

Another idea instead of the inner copper wire.
Put small magnets in the bottom of the casing.
That way you could use a braid instead of a wrap.
You could develop one that is more flexible and a bit looser.
If you search Etsy, a LOT of people sell used Ammo Casings in various calibers for crafting.
Great idea! And just one more reason to go to the range. :)
Hey I really like this para. bracelet thanks for sharing..................THUMBS UP
Hi! Love this idea! Is there an alternative to bullet casings and the wire by any chance? Thanks :)
Pretty cool 😜 thanks for the vid! I subscribed.
I have some spent .45 casings I want to use is the 10 gauge wire good enough for them or should I go 8 gauge?
I had a jacket once that had a copper / bronce wire in it around the neck and it made me extremely sick you have no idea how by body reacted, extremly sick, i had to take it out.... so my question is what kinda wire can i use instead ? a regular metal wire ?
use aluminumm.... its what i use since we have a lot of it...
?? With a 12g copper wire- can I implement two colors? Or a two tone knot?
hm. so would at least 9mm be reccomended for this, or is this possible with any size?
Have you ever thought about burying a rare earth magnet inside the bullet casing and building a regular weave after gluing in a double strand of paracord? I wonder if it could work as a magnetic clasp. Maybe you would need to drill out the spent primer, but it could work...hmmmm
I use some garden wire which is perfect for me and I used 9mm bullets casings
Hard to find in the uk!
Tango Airsoft. Very hard aha. Where is your source for spent brass casings?
if i were to make one using 45acp casings, what size wire would i want to use?
Hello, I was wondering if there was anyway you could make me a 9mm bracelet. I'm not very good at making these things and I would love to have one. If not I completely understand. Thank you in advance.
Question have you tried this with a corkscrew knot?
Hello, what can be used on the bullets so that can stay shinny? Thanks!!
sandpaper is my guess lolmabye chrome paint afer wards
casings
I have no idea how the shiny knuckle plated casing look after they sit for a while (those are found on self defense rounds) but normal brass will petina
+Ezekiel Herrera knickle
clear coat finger nail polish!
Any idea on how to make the rope cartridge bracelet?
I have those same type of glue sticks. So, what I do is pour some alcohol on a paper towel and rub the glue stick. That way I'm able to remove some of that slippery crap. Your glue gun then works better. Who needs shiny glue sticks anyway? By the way, nice bracelet tutorial.
Great video love it ❤️❤️💕💕 and love all your videos xox
would crazy super glue work too?..just bought some lol
nice and pretty!
Awesome video
Are you using solid or braided core wire?
What size Paracord are you using? 325 or 550?
Just a little tip 10 gauge wire is a lot better
Hi guys I just tried this tutorial and the copper wire will not stay in the shell casing. The paracord will but the wire slides right out. I am letting it set for 10-14 minutes before even wrapping the paracord and the wire pulls right out. What am I doing wrong??
Hello, what gauge copper wire did you use?
+imallaroundtheworld it was 12 gauge
Oh ok, thank you.
+imallaroundtheworld no problem
+imallaroundtheworld It was 12 Gauge. I would recommend 10 Gauge if you are going to do it.
Alright thanks!
Can u make a paracord hat 😂
Serious can u make a easy design paracord pouch and I trust u loads to make one of these thanks man you da best
Does the hot glue pull away from the bullet, the more it's worn.
Sandy Norlock I think a 2 part epoxy would be a better option.
The hot glue holds in the bullet and the paracord very well, unfortunately the wire keeps pulling out no matter how much glue I use!
you could also use a coat hanger ;P
Can you use aluminium wire? I am having trouble getting 10 gauge copper wire. 12 gauge is easy to find but not 10 gauge.
+sticustom Lowe's or electrical supply 10 is common.
+Stan Krieger thank you but we don't have a Lowes in Australia. The local electrical shop wants to charge a fortune plus cutting fee. Cheers
+sticustom What about home construction sites? But i do see why you could not use Aluminum wire. It just might be easier wearing. Give it a try, and please let me know how it works.

+sticustom I did wait each time for the glue to set and it still pulled out. I think the glue it the problem.
just curious: would you be able to wear this on a plane?
+Sam S I don't see why they would care. Spent casings aren't a threat. That said, stupid people abound, someone may complain and force them into at least looking at it, so I'd make sure the primers are spent. As soon as they see the dimple in the primers at least they know it's completely inert.
Wow sone of the question! Copper wire cost more I make them with brake line ! Cost less and comes bigger and smaller. If their spent shells you can resize down to the size you need ! And yea it copper wire not brass
Where do you get the paracord?
where can I find these items to fix as the bullets did not see a place to sell the
or pick one up a 40 cal yourself ( recommend the Herrera px4 storm
maybe ask a local gun range and ask if they have some spent casing you can rumage through (most have buckets full of them that they either reloaded or recycle some how) and look for 40cal
So u think 12 Guage wire for 45s?
If I used a clothes hanger and 9mm shell would that work???
probably
What do you do with the bullet case to keep it from tarnishing?
I dknt think there I a way to preserve them
tbh the patina on copper and brass looks good to me so I'd Personally like it to wear
I've never seen someone get so nonchalantly burned before! XD
Khaleesi !
What color is that
where's your shop located?
can you use 9mm shells
Guys, do u know 10 gauge copper wire total diameter is how much?
Is there a way to get bullet casings in europe? Cause of guns are illegal here...
Berend Jan Van Der Smissen
Ebay
Where could i buy those used shells ? .-.
Ebay
should of hot glued some small strong magnets at the bottom of the shell.
i want to make this one
awesome
nice
esta bien
I'm thinking of doing this with .41 magnum
thanksss so much
FIRST IS THE WORST, SECOND IS THE BEST
can i bring this to school
Where do you find the copper wire?
+C. Spear How about your nearest hardware store "electrical section"?....because McDonald's and Walgreen's ran out of it...lol
hardware store
Cool, but here in Brasil you will be arrested by cops if uses a .40 ou anyone caliber to make a bullet bracelet.
Believe it or not.
Here,we can't carry neither a empty 22 caliber case.
you can also use a 9mm casing and use 10gauge copper wiring
Andrei Marqui I'm sorry, but I fear the United States will soon be the same way!
I really want to make this for my son, but I didn’t see the copper wire
hmm, now to figure out how to adapt it for 44 mag casings... other than using even thicker wire.
+Brian Z You could always braid 3 strands of paracord around the wire.
+green98cavy Yeah fiddling around last night that's what I came up with. I glued 2 different colors into the casing along with the stiffener, and braided a snake knot. Came out ok, I think 45 acp casings would look better, but 44 mag is what I had already. The casings won't fit over the braid, so you have to stop braiding when the other casing will cover the rest.
double wrap tightly maybe
awesome..
where you get the shells from
shooting a gun
shooting a gun
or you could go to a local gun range and ask if you could get some spent 40 cal casing or whatever caliber you want . your probably have to go rumage through a bucket full of shells though. but 40 cal is pretty common so I doubt I'd take long
try copper tube
where can I find the wire
+Jarrod Yandow How about your nearest hardware store "electrical section"?....I can't believe people still asking this question.
what about a dog leash?
could you use black and blue paracord to honor fallen police officers?
What it you have .22 rifle shells
Use smaller gauge wire
Acorn nuts would look good for this as well. And that would have an added benefit of not calling too much attention if you need to enter a government building....
get you she'll casing by shooting your .40 lol if you don't have a 40 go to your local gun range someone will have one
just noticed green98cavy said the same thing. sorry for the repeat.
