Just an FYI. It's approx 1 foot 2 inches per INCH of your wrist circumference. I was making one that needed to be 8 inches while tightening. After taking it apart, it measured 8ft. 4inches.
So Just using 1ft. 2 inches per Inch of wrist, will give you solid results.

Huge piece of advice that helped me: when you first start weaving it, run the first stitch through a pencil to hold it, so later when you try to pull the two ends back through the two first loops it’s easier and you just remove the pencil.

I suffered a severe massive stroke in 2015, that has been 4 years ago. I've always been an outdoors types and loved paracord and had always wanted to make my own paracord items. I finally took the leap and got my paracord, a jig (to try to aid me in making bracelets and monkey fists later on) and in reference to your mention of a jig, I'm using a medium size Bulldog paper clip to hold the top run on the jig and the loop at the bottom is on the lower retainer lug on my jig. Thus far, I've managed about 5 or 6 runs and it looks OK but I have to stop and rewind the vid time to time and lose track of the right and left in reference to which goes over and under as mentioned in the vid but I'm really struggling to make my right hand d its part. LOL
Did I mention that I'm doing this as a form of therapy? LOL I thought this would've been hard before, imagine the struggle now with the right hand. LOL If/when I can ever complete this bracelet, I'll try to post a photo of it for others with disabilities like mine. :)

Dude this is so awesome how you put this on here. Thank you so much. I learned how to do this in the matter of like 2 minutes. The only secret to it is remembering the one cord that you always have to loop and don't get them mixed up and it comes out perfect. The way I do that is I put a piece of tape on that one down at the end of it. I'm working on my second one and I could do like an inch per minute basically in 10 minutes I can make a 10-in bracelet.

Another question, what is that tool called that you used to thread the cord . Do you have math that you use on how much cord it takes for different length of bracelets ? A little bit of trivia, if it hasn't been posted already.
The paracord bracelet in Fury Road isn't actually part of the costume design. Tom Hardy wears it quite exclusively now. A friend of his was deployed in the military during the shooting and he had taught him how to make them, so Tom made one for every cast member during the making of the film.

Just made mine with the exception of the open gap on the pull area. It's fully wrapped around my wrist, wish I could upload the pic.

I will start doing these bracelets right away. Thanks, great explanation and once you repeat the pattern a 1000 times, it should go very easy!

I legit made one of these out of old boot laces, they’re round walking boot laces so it looks like Paracord.

@@timehunter9467 i mean, you can make it. But the laces won't tighten up like paracord will. And fk the naysayers!
