      Edit: about 14'. Thank you.

I am a beginner at this. I needed something to occupy my time and keep my arthritic hands moving since retiring. This is a great idea for a key chain that I will be trying out in the near future as soon as I can get the cord. I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos.

For metric users, M8 nuts work as well. I'd say allow a bit of extra distance between the buckle ends at the start (perhaps an extra 1/4 inch) because this seems to tighten up as you go along, mine ended up slightly too small. If you want to make sure that the nuts stay lined up you could thread some micro paracord through the nuts themselves as an extra "accent". That would also stop the metal from pinching your wrist. I used alternating Zinc / Nyloc nuts to add a bit of variation to the look. Pretty cool design.

I’d like to take time to thank you for making this video. I’ve made numerous paracord bracelet designs and this one along with the iktomi spider bracelets are favorites. The hex design I focused on to honor my step-dad who transitioned 3 yrs ago. He was hard working his entire life and I only wish I could’ve made one for him when he was alive. As a Veteran I started making simple drab Army green cords and have been addicted to making all types of now. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!

I used stainless 1/4" nuts. Looks good off my wrist.
Wearing it the nuts jump out of formation.

To begin with I love your videos and keep them coming! In this instance however, survival is all about quick accessibility and easy deployment in all conditions. During inclement weather while fingers are cold or half frozen, you'll lose the dexterity needed to deploy/untie this quickly. When the cord is needed for lashing branches and basic emergency structures ease of deployment is vital. While I give it a 10+ on the nifty scale (as I have followed along and will tie several more) I would have to give it a zero for the survival side as it is just not feasible to deploy in cold weather, with gloves or any other circumstances where dexterity can be affected. For those of you looking for survival tips for paracord storage, quick and easy deployment in all scenarios is key. Otherwise, excellent videos and I will keep recommending your channel to friends, coworkers and the like!

Love your videos. Keep them coming. One thing I'd like to see is for you to get consistent with giving the length of all the different cord, buckle size, complete material list at the beginning of the videos. It took you 12 mins into this one to tell us that you were using a 5/8" buckle. Thanks.

Yes! Completely agree! I'm currently frustrated because I'm having to rewatch the whole video to find a specific detail I needed that should have been at the very beginning of the video. A quick "These are the materials I'm using" segment at the beginning would be very helpful!

I have made this bracelet many times, my son love it. now I am going to attempt to use this pattern for a belt, I am a bit intimidated by the amount of paracord I probably overestimated to use. any ideas on how to keep cords from tangling as I am using them? again thanks for the great video!

All of your videos are very good. I made this bracelet but had to redo it and make the hex nuts loose against each other. If they are tight against each other they will pop up at different place because it is too stiff to bend.

Late reply. It's a "double jointed" thing. It's also called hitch hikers thumb. Both of mine do it. They go back about 90°. Being double jointed just means the muscles are looser allowing for greater flexibility. In some cases it shows like this where joints bend in excess in the wrong direction.

Just completed this. Used 10 feet with about 18 inches left over. The 550 cord was too wide for me so I used 325 cord. This was much easier than it looks. Thanks for the video. Couldn't find stainless steel hex nuts. A box of 100 was $5.98 for the 1/4 and another dollar for the 5/16. I used the 1/4 for the 325 cord.. Will use 5/16 for the 550 if I get customers requesting it.

Thanks for the great video!..I made my bracelet with black plastic hex nuts instead of stainless steel and used a black and a "darker" blue paracord. IMO, the combination of colors looks better and the bracelet is not to shinny, plus it feels lighter on my wrist.

I just made one it was fun and easy. But when you put it on the hex nuts like to slide and not stay lined up it will pop out of place. The 2nd will start you slide under the hex nut. So if you make this maybe go one size down of a 5/16

Well OBVIOUSLY it's a hex nut survival bracelet. You never know when your very LIFE might depend on having some sturdy hex nuts available on hand.
And BAM! They actually ARE on your hand. This is SO awesome.

By far, the easiest to make. Almost unbearable as I have a phobia for pulling string or rope through anything. But I did it! It looks and feels fuggin awesome. Thank you kindly for showing how.

i used aluminum hex nuts and it came out much more lightweight also thinking about stepping them down a size to fit on a 5/8in buckle also someone asked if this can be made into a dog collar and yes I did it using a 1in buckle and I find the best way to attach the dring is at the beginning in the cows hitch then doubling back through on it twice also stepped my nut size up for the collar forget the exact size but I think its two up from 5/16

Very awesome. I took your idea and mixed it with a double cobra and gave myself and my husband unique, pimp bracelets. I want to make a video and will definitely give you and Kevin full credit and the person who showed me how to make the cobra. I find my bracelet to be super wide and thin, not bulky at all which is exactly what my husband and I wanted. His is camo and black and mine is hot pink and black. I'll post a picture when I have a chance. I really appreciate your videos, thank you for being clear and easy to follow.
