«You’re my first ballet teacher » awww my heart is melting huhh 😫 one day I hope ill finally do those leaps correctly too 💁🏽♀️
I just wanted to thank you for all the amazing content you post! Recently I started dancing, and if it wasn’t for your videos I wouldn’t be in the higher classes or dancing like I am. You’re amazing!
I want to thank you so much Ms. Auti. My family can’t put me in classes so I started to watch your channel and I have learned so much. I am starting to learn pirouettes and (trying but failing) my al secondes. I first watched this video when it was posted and I practiced today and I did my front leap without mistakes and I cried tears of joy. Thank you for everything you do you make such an impact ❤️💕🙏🏻
Hey Auti!!! I’m very happy you posted this! Needed this right now!!!! Love ya!
Can you do a video on how to improve your split leaps?? I’m having trouble with a bent back leg.
Alexis Miller same here! It’s so frustrating and feels like no matter how hard i try to channel energy through the keg to make it straight, it doesn’t work! X
@@LaurasLabyrinth I'm interested in the split leap, too, but could you break down the take-off/landing a little more? I know it's in a plie, but how do you control the plie when landing?
Focusing on sqeezing the back knee and pointing the back foot really helps maybe youre getting into the leaps with too much power but no control:))
Angelina L. Ok thank youu!
Are you turning your leg out? That was my problem
Center - 0:35
Reverse - 2:50
Firebird - 5:02
Calypso - 7:42
Double Stag - 10:38
Ty
thank you so much
Thanks 😊
Thx
Thank you!!!
This video really helped me so much. I had to do a barrel calapso for company and they didnt tell me it was supposed to be the back leg into an additude. Now i know.
My split is complete but when i try to the leap my legs just dont go that higher and straight and both at the same time... Plz give me tips..
Squeeze your legs and make sure you’re turned out (it might not get to a full split because of you being turned out) I don’t know a lot because I’m kind of a beginner but my dance coach tell me that so
Is your split completely with toes pointing up or turning in to the floor? Splits are harder when your hips are turned out and toes pointing up if the foot is flexed or or pointing out with the inside of your arch facing out(and up) if the foot is pointed. Remember ability means nothing without proper technique just because you can do the splits doesn’t mean that it looks pretty or that you can use that ability for another move. However it does mean your on the right track and now your able to move forward. What will also help is laying on your stomach and stretching your hips and inner thigh muscles by bending your knees to look like a frog. Keep your hips and feet on the floor as you bend your knees. Don’t allow anyone to help you because forcing this is not ok but it’s a great stretch and the more you do it you will see progress over time and it will help with your turnout and middle splits.
make sure your hips are SQUARE in your split!! this is very important
@@shreya9288 i just dont understand what that means
Aubrie this means that your hips are aligned with your shoulders to make an invisible square shape think of it as balancing bricks on top of bricks
I'm sure the people in my gym are trying to figure out what the heck is going on, but I love this video! It helped so much! I'm learning modern dance and contemporary at home and I appreciate all of this!
Leaps are one of the things I struggle with the most and you really helped breaking it down with all the technique and everything thanks!😋
I just need help sitting in my leaps. Literally my leaps would be more prettier if I sat in them more. Can you make a video on how to help with that
Splits or leaps?
Prob the most helpful video ever I always wondered how dancers do it like that lolll
I’m starting jazz classes because of you!thank you for inspiration!💞
Do you have a tutorial on switch leaps? I would like to see that and learn some tools to master it.
I have a hard time with those
@ღ Mayaa ღ She meant Russian Switch Tilts
Thanks for everything Auti!! You really helped me prepare for dance class ❤️❤️ you have such helpful videos and it’s easy to follow along to! Your dance posture video transformed my dancing. Best wishes xoxo 😘
I love it because I really really need this extra help.
Got tryouts in 10 days been training at home thanks to covid-19
Love u Auti
Is the floor concrete? That is so bad to be jumping on!!
Yay I have been waiting for this video!!!!♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ (Edit: I liked the calypso the best:D )
my center leaps are terrible, my mom just tells me i look pathetic because everyone else is better than me. i look pitiful for a 13 year old barely getting off the floor. i just don’t know how to get enough power to get higher and lift my legs higher. i keep doing them over and over again and they look the same even when i try to improve. i just can’t
hey this is really late so you might already have them but some tips that helped me are:
-make sure you really sit your butt down in the leap
-work on the leap in place at a bar and sit your butt down and kick your legs out
-make sure both of your feet are turned out that way you’ll be able to get higher
-just keep practicing and working on strength to kick your legs up higher you got this!! 💗💗
i’ve been trying to do a side leap for ages! needed this!
Thanks for really quality content and for explaining them so well.
OMG I just love you and thank you for this video the timing could not have been more helpful love you ❤️❤️❤️!
Love you auti
I’m actually very interested in dancing but my parents don’t think I have what it takes but I got a project with making the thingy for the egg so you can drop it without it breaking and I thought what about calypso jumps you turn so when you land In a tuck you don’t hurt yourself or break if you where an egg so let’s hope this gets me an A tysm
Amazing.
I’m so early I love your videos sooo much xxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey auti! I love your videos and they inspire me! Love you and greetings + lots of love from europe
This is great but do you ever film from the back side so it's easier to follow?
Thank you very much
thank you for all your help! I really want to take dance lessons only my parents won't let me! Your videos are the most I get learn of dance! Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Serin Cheun why won't they let you take dance?
DarkAngel maybe they can't afford it, dance is pretty expensive
amazing 😍😍 pls contemporary moves videos or smt abt contemporary 💕💕
The 2nd last one is called a Russian at my dance school
I wish she was my ballet teacher she seems so nice and sweet!
I have the flexibility to do a front leap, but it never turns out to look like a split in the air! My dance teacher gets so upset/mad. Do you have any tips or anything that can help? Love your vids!!
I'm no expert by any means, but it sounds like you have flexibility without the strength to get it there without pushing up against something, like doing a split on the floor. My best tip would be to find a doorway in your house and do a vertical split in the doorway. Push yourself into a split so that one leg is on the ground and the other is in the air. Once you have that down, try to lean your top leg away from the door frame. Your goal is to be fully in the split without touching the frame with either leg, but you can start by just holding one leg away from it. This should build strength along with your flexibility if you do it often. I hope this helps
i got my leaps to look like full splits in the air by REALLY stretching my over split and then working out my legs to get the power to propel me into the air. it made my splits even more natural to go into and the extra power really propelled them to be much straighter, easier!!
Is there a reason they’re doing leaps and jumps on concrete? They really should be doing these on a suspended floor. Beautiful dancers though
Is this floor concrete? It looks like a pretty hard floor to be doing repetitive jumping/leaping.
Thanks you all of you! ❤️ Excellent explanation! Can't wait to start rehearsing. Still gotta give my sore muscles an only-stretching-day after this summer dance week, which was awesome btw!! 😍 Heat & Beat 2019 by DasTanzforum
I dunno if anyone knows this, but there’s a contemporary style move where you like run up and tuck up one leg and the other kicks out straight to the side then you roll out of it? Sorry my explaining is bad
A flying squirrel is what you mean, I think
I have oversplits but I still can't defy gravity like y'all.
I injured my knee 3 times last year. Is it because I don't have any abs/core strength ?
I know this is real late, but it could be because of your oversplits. Oversplits can really hurt you; they weaken your ligaments so that your knees get weaker and it's harder to do things like land jumps.
I always wanted to know how to do that for the longest way thank you for showing me how it work
When I do leaps my foot sickles and it really makes me so mad, I don’t know how to fix it 😕
I need u to teach me as dance lessons pleaseeee what’s it called cx
Hi I just wanted to say thank you for all your help!❤️🌸
I got really really flexible because of your videos auti
I was never so happy when i new i got flexible and now i am the best dancer in my class thanks to you auti lots of love from a small youtuber in india ❤️❤️
Wideo Dance muzyka🚺🎵💃✨🔝🤸👍🏽👍🏽💪🏼💪🏼😳😍😘🤗🙃💞
i’m having trouble sitting in my second leaps so that they don’t look like star jumps. what can i do to fix it?
Sofia R U just need to work on ur over splits and think about when u step into the leap to try and go upwards and try to travel less to the side😁
@@xbxlla028 Ahhhh don't work on your oversplits! They weaken your ligaments... it's not good for you :(
omg they're on concrete their poor feet 😣
idk if you can see it but they may have lyrical shoes on
Thank you for making this vid it really helped!
Where is your shirt from😍😍😍

Practice makes better
wow wow wow, this is just so perfect, I might not be able learn everything today but I'm surely gonna learn it, man, no doubt
Thank you so much for this!! Your whole channel making dance technique simple and accessible to anyone is truly a blessing 💓💓😍😍
How does the calypso girl land in fifth position after the low chaine
I’ve never been in dance so will I ever get a good leap?
Yes!! Been waiting for this! Ty! ❤️
Miss Auti thanks for this lesson I honestly couldn't do it with you
Hello,
Do you know what can help me learn choreo better/faster? I'm planning to make it to Dance 2 in Highschool Dance. My teacher says my technique's a bit better, but that I'm not quite ready to level up. I only have 5 days left including the day of the class final. May you please answer asap? =)
Wow! Miss Auti all of them were wonderful. Loved it ❤ and Thanks a lot! I am gonna add these leap for my college day dance night.
I never knew a firebird was a leap, I thought it was a jump
Hey Ms Auti! I have a problem getting both legs up at the same time, what do I do?
I want to be an indian ballerina. As in India there is more craze of ... you know... Bharatnatyam and Kathak. Actually, I attend bharatnatyam classes but I am much more interested in ballet. I have to give the exam of Bhushan 1 in Bharatnatyam but I think I must work for my ballerina dream.....🙄
Lol my name is Sydney and she said “Sydney will be helping us with our center leap” and I said “OH NO IM NOT”
Might be a silly question from someone who has never taken a ballet class but when the girl doing the calypso leap does the high and low chaine turns, it looks like she is in 5th/3rd position. What's the best position for this jump?
Amo seu videos mas tem como colocar legenda??
Omg
Is this ok for beginners lol.
Yeah your be fine try your best
So happy for the reverses leap👍🏼❤️😃
Thanks auto you are the best I’ll be showing my class you’re page
Sten The professional auto 😂😂😂
🔥🔥 ¡GREAT VIDEO, Congratulations! Have a NICE DAY BALLERINA 🔥
I’m so confused because when I do my firebirds I attitude my right leg not my left
I lost it doesn't say how to exactly leap and how to get a higher leap🤔😢🤔
I’m a ex artistic gymnast and currently a power tumbler and trampolinest. I’ve also done two years of contortion (also they made us do a mandatory ballet class for gymnastics.) anyway I’m gonna start doing ballet soon and I’m used to gymnastics leaps. this is gonna be hard to change wish me luck haha 😆
hello miss auti, I’m trying to learn a calypso for a dance scholarship, although I have the high chaine and the low chaine, but I don’t understand how I go from the low chaine to the leap, and do you have any tips on how to make the leap itself better? Thank you ❤ your videos are amazing 😊
My old studio used to call it an attitude is firebird the same thing ?
So whenever i do my calypso leap, i tend to be very heavy. How can i pull up in this leap and improve my leap.
loved it
If only if I was a righty dancer
Why do I end up in a tilt jump
could i learn this at 22 but i used to do ballet and lyrical??
I think I am good at firebird leaps
Learning these is class and have been struggling with center leaps! Even though I have really good hip flexibility and really good tilts
Thank you so much I have been trying to get my second leap and calypso for months!!!
Out of all of these jumps I know how to do the leap lol
I adore your personality and the content you share!!! You are LITERALLY the best❤
Who just came here for the firebird
First!
Since I’ve been seeing this question in the comments a lot, my jazz teacher taught me that if you want to sit in your leaps more, the key is air time. Use your plié to push your self as high as possible so you have time to hit the full position and stay in it longer
No, the secret for the flip is: Be strong.
Need tips on how to you get your legs to go higher in the jump. My daughter can do the splits perfectly on both sides and in the middle but she cannot get her legs very far off the ground in center leaps, firebirds, etc. I don’t know what else to tell her.
is your dance studio competetive
I just realized i went to school with Sydney :)
Thanks Auti.. This is what was on my mind last three days.... Loved it 💜💜💜💜💜
miss auti, do you give zoom lessons
Can I still learn this at 18 or no?
This is so helpful! Thanks Auti 💙
