    Bra I use a shop vac for the fire pit to blow on it along with a metal pipe instead of light fluid and cuts time really fast.. great video great time ohana..

      Samoan umu are above ground but the Tongan umu is underground for more volume.The Tonga umu is almost the same as the Maori Hangi except the type of food.Hangi and ours is base on the steam of produce from the rocks.The Samoan one is more direct radiant heat from the rocks ,that why they put the rocks on top of their food
