It's awesome because it's very versatile however for all of my firearms grips including AR-15 AK-47s pistols simple bicycle tube cut for $7 as well I can do about 6 or 7 guns and it's the perfect grip
Wouldn’t the rubber “tacky” feeling also stick to your clothes? I’ve heard of people using Gaffer’s tape. Wonder if that would serve the same purpose. Hockey tape is too slick from personal experience.
I have had no issues with it feeling “sticky” or sticking to my clothes thus far. It’s soft tape with just enough grip. It’s hard to explain it in words. It’s definitely worth a try.
I sell tape for a living, Ive never heard of GOON tape before this, but it looks almost exactly like gaff, (they make gaff with different cloths), I'm just guessing this is a slightly different cloth than normal (more cottony), but to the lay person, Polyken 510 is about the same exact thing, removes clean and feels great in the hand.

Tape kind of sells itself, we just supply the industries that have used it as a staple for decades. You would be surprised how much tape goes into the mfg process of everything people use on a day to day basis. Powder coating - Sign making - stage production - CnC - golf club mfg - window installers - car/rv mfg - construction - the list is endless, every small business in America uses some kind of tape for some kind of process.

Tried buying it but it was out of stock so I just bought hockey tape and after a few months of hockey tape it started coming off and it left a really bad white tacky stuff on my pistols and rifles. I check a month ago and they had some in stock so I bought some. Best stuff ever. It looks great and feels amazing.
Nice mod, stippling the BCM grip! That's my biggest gripe. How have they not addressed this themselves. They've been the gold standard for so long, I feel like no one questions them on the Gunfighter Grips. I went back to MOEs for this very reason.
I agree. I recently ordered a bcm upper from them and it is my first upper from them in several years but 4th upper overall. What used to mean getting all kinds of swag, a hat, magazines, ect is now 4 small stickers the uppers being almost 100 dollars more. The grip is my favorite but I think bcm needs to start looking at how to make things better and not ride on the reputation they built in the past. Thanks for commenting!

i want to know how to wrap the handle of my pistol it has a big curve so when i wrap it it leaves a big air gap and doesn’t wrap right because of the curve how do i wrap it correctly to avoid that issue
Probably have to wrap it like normal then when you get the air gap, hit it with blow dryer and take something flat and try to smash that bubble down best you can.
This tape has multiple uses is the main reason and it’s easy on, easy off of I change my mind. Can be wrapped many or as few times as you want to adjust thickness of grip. I use it on a lot more than just pistols.
Howies is not the same. Have you actually tested both side by side? Howies is much more slippery when I hold the grip with wet hands or soapy hands which is a test I do

I ordered some recently and just got my shipment in yesterday. There's an option to enter your email to be notified when they're back in stock and that's what I did. I honestly don't love the tape though . It's too slick to put on a grip but I'll find other stuff to use it for.

Howies pro is more slippery than the original Howies tape. Goon is closest in comparison to the Howies original but when tested side by side, Goon is better and you would only know if you actually tested it

Just got this stuff today, wrapped my ARs grips and around the forearm and light cables. As well as my carry gun. Feels amazing honestly on everything

I use sport tape it’s use for tapping ankles and wrist.
You can use it on Ar handguard to block the heat from the gas block.

Goon tape is made the same as cloth hockey tape. It's not as wide but it's always easy to find and is just about the exact same thing
I tried hockey tape being a cheap ass and it fell off quick and left sticky residue.

Took the time to make sure everything was evenly wrapped around the grip. Just made them overlap a certain amount that i liked.

Only problems I’ve had out of it was on a 7 day field problem with heavy rain on my rifle grip. Still worked but started to curl after constant rain.

No it does not. I’ve put it on and off for panting guns and have not seen any noticeable residue. I still wipe the area off though.
