- Finally back building models ! First kit is Italeri's world of warships Graf spee in 1:720 scale which is a very nice little kit ! I have loads of models in my stash ready for this year so I will upload some more videos shortly ! My channel is still alive !

I think the best thing to try is the 5 second fix pen for filling seam lines.
you should do her 2 sister ships, lutzow and admiral scheer, would make a great collection to have all 3 pocket battleships together. But other then that i loved the video! quick question, do you prefer paint brush or airbrush for the red hulls and black waterline?

Very nice build! I'm planning to buy this kit. I have a few questions: Is the stand included? Do I need to apply a primer? If I do, what should it be? A solution or just a color like you used the black?
iStefan thank you ! Yeah the stand comes with the kit. For primer I normally use Vallejo's normal black paint for ships and tanks , I think spraying actual primer is a better base to work from but I find it does not spray through my airbrush very well .

One question: What scale photo etched railings did you use? I can only find on 1/700 scale. Could I possibly use them?
Hi, I used 1/700 scale railings, they are slightly out of scale but they are much better than the ship having no railings .

Lekker it’s not to bad the only gaps I had to fill was where the two hull halves met ! The detail is ok !

What kind of railings are those? Looking to add some to my own models in this scale.
Morgenergy they are eduard 1:700 scale Royal Navy railings, you can get kriegsmarine ones too but they are pretty much the same as the Royal Navy ones !
@@scalemodelling76 I actually have the Gold Medal models set which has the crests and the name plates as well as the stern eagles. and railings and ladders all in the same set. Though I might want to try some 3d printed 15cm guns for the Spee to replace the kit ones.

The stern had an eagle holding a swastika on the real ship, which has been salvaged from the wreck

Well, for and all around set it is rubbish. I got Italeri's BF109 F set, with paints and brush. The paints where only 2 (instead of 3 in previous versions I think) and not the most suited for painting the model. How can a beginner paint the Graf Spee with just Flat Rush and iraqi Sand colours? Why not include a grey paint Italeri???
