This is a nice build, I know that Japanese heavy/light cruisers used linoleum for their decks, however that is inconsequential, even the camouflage, which should be relegated for Takao, it's sister ship, near the end of the war. Is fine. Take care.
Great review..great kit.. Its going to the MUST GET list..its got plenty of stuff, and evey pannys worth.. Too late to say this, but experience tells me, that for filling gaps (specially at this scale) Squadron green putty is the best and cheaper and easier to use than Milliput..add a drop of CA after dry and green stuff turns into the most wonderful filler material anywhere..and it can be sculpted at any scale...be well!
Glad I watched this video before purchasing it. Only good side to the model is the WOW game bonus. This kit fits like garbage and goes together like it too!!
Nice work, but I find you did not show the things that you did best such as the deck color and staining, various weathering effects (especially on the bow), planes chipping, ...
Is that the Aeoshima or Pit road molding of the Atago that Italeri reboxed? Also best way to not deal with seams on the hull is to use a liquid cement like Tenax7 or Flexi-files plastiweld which both use the touch and flow applicator. Omce you apply the glue squeeze the parts together which sends liquified plastic welling up (which you want) that acts as a filler that once you scrape it off and do a little sanding makes the seam disappear with no need for putty at all..
I promise I'm not being mean-spirited. Perhaps you might want to watch a few youtube videos on how to mobel. You assembled and glued , before you painted. Ya also left alot of opened seems like at the stern . you do have some good skills in the air brush area . Take my advice and you models will look more epic .
I use fishing line glued in place with a drop of superglue . To be honest I am also struggling with cables I don't know what to use I find fishing line sometimes curls and is hard to glue in place .
Nice build and camo, although not authentic, you did a good job. Check Ebroin Song on yt, he does 1/700 scale ships too. Good idea adding the railings.
Total BS! The kit is Aoshima,(which is not the best full hull version ) ,rebox by Italeri. Colors are SF,they are all wrong, japanese warships rarely had cammo, no boot stripe,Cruisers and destroyers had no wooden deck, instead they had linoleum wich was reddish-brown ...nice effort, though!
francisc szekeres oh I thought it was trumpeter because of the stamp on the hull ! I just followed the box but the deck I got wrong like you say it’s that red brown colour ! Thanks for the advice though !
Scale Modelling 76, I don't know anything about WOW, I admit that! I presume that they give you from time to time some SF cammo, just to look cooler, somehow in the same manner as "Arpeggio of steel "series in Japan, but they are just for fun! I don't know what kind of modeler you are,but I like to paint my models accurate as possible...for japanese warships are 4 kind of grey, depending on where the ship was constructed or retrofitted . Your work, nevertheless, is very nice and appealing (nice touch with the generic rails),don't get me wrong!
francisc szekeres I just like to make my models detailed and I’m still learning but I do want to focus more on accuracy at some point ! No I appreciate your comment I think maybe I should do some more research before paint !
Research is 95% of the job!If you want to improve even more your models you have to spend some money for a nominal PE set (not a generic one),and maybe a wooden deck (for ships) ,which I appreciate very much...Is very nice to see a fellow modeler who wants to improve his work.I am looking forward for your next projects!
Кто, кто ставит дизлайки???
Это ведь шедевр в руках мастера!

I'm not sure what mold it is . Thanks for the tip I've seen some people do that I might give it a go .
Aoshima kit,the Pit Road kit is not full hull...only Fujimi(much better kit ) and the Aoshima are.
A great build, and some nice bonus content if you play WoW.
As always keep up the good work!

this is my favourite warship :):):):):):) i love this warship do this lego
what type of string you used for the cable lines and how do you make it so taunt? I tried and the whole mass broke or the string sags :(
I use fishing line glued in place with a drop of superglue . To be honest I am also struggling with cables I don't know what to use I find fishing line sometimes curls and is hard to glue in place .
Thanks will try it out . I use my wife's dress making thread :p
Try some Easy Line or stretched sprue.@@scalemodelling76
Does this kit come with the railings?
Jake Metti no it doesn’t unfortunately.
@@scalemodelling76 Where did you get the railings for your kit? Did you just pick up any 1/700 Photo etch railing kit? Awesome job btw. :)
@@NenuxTitanRsr they are royal navy railings 1:700 scale . They are so small I wasn't worried about accuracy .
Hi!!!! Great job....what kind of eduard raíl did you use?
Nice build and camo, although not authentic, you did a good job. Check Ebroin Song on yt, he does 1/700 scale ships too. Good idea adding the railings.
milky55way2012 thank you, yeah I just copied the box but it seems it isn’t authentic !

Cant stand that seeded up camera works! Dosent give a chance to soak in whats being done!
Nice effort but do some research first if you want to build and paint an accurate scale model.
the detail of italeri is really poor as usual, based on such a model i would say well done enough
