I’m on my second season with shoulder pain caused by exactly what you showed in this video…took all Summer off to rest it but I think I’m just going to have to live with it…I have improved my technique quite a bit and shortened my backswing to take pressure off it..oh, I’m also trying to throw much weaker equipment so I can stay squared up longer which is less stressful on the tender areas. Thanks for the videos.
When I coach, I will stand in front of someone on the approach and ask them to shake my hand without moving their feet. They will pretty much open their shoulders to the way I am standing. It helps with them getting that feel of opening up if they are trying to learn to swing the lane.
He was just demonstrating to have your shoulders open. Your balance arm should naturally move out the way when you actually swing the ball into the lane. Wouldn’t even feel right to keep your balance arm there lol

Cool video talk tech bowling Jr Raymond
Great video! Does anyone feel a decrease in revs and power trading to do this? It definitely feels more consistent and accurate though.
Thanks for the advice
Something I need to work on. Just getting back into bowling after 9 years off
I found with me having wider shoulders, I’m right handed, opening up my right foot assist with this
Do you suggest pointing the ball towards your target vs. downlane during the stance and push away?

More than likely why I have right shoulder issues that doc says needs surgery now. Trying to get through winter league and do it in the summer.
Throwing the shoulder maybe a no no but not squaring (remaining open) at delivery is a no no, too
What gym workouts do you focus on
Wish i could hit like 1000x!
Definitely my #1 flaw in my game
when I get left this is exactly what I do and it always comes at the wrong time.
