    Hey I was just wondering whether or not the Security Clearance counts as an SSBI and whether or not it goes back seven years or ten years. If you can find the document you had to fill out of personal history and link me to it that would be great, I can't really find anything besides a document for NSP which I am not sure is the same thing.

    So ive been thinking of military as my next move to get my life in a more positive direction but im struggling to find any information for a job in psychology in the military what would your advice be? I was thinking my only option for this would be some form of medical but even then im still at a loss of info since our recruiters arent much help.

    Hey ginger sailor! I'm actually about to be going through Meps and hopefully basic after that. Like you I'm starting off at an older age (30 to be exact) and have a small house full of stuff. I plan on selling most of my furniture i.e. couches, love seat, kitchen table and such. My question is: I have a 65" curved Samsung 4K ultra I recently payed around 3,800 for. Would you recommend selling this as well or will there be a point in the not so distant future where I will be able to put it to good use again. Also I am single with no kids.

      Honestly I'd have someone hold on to that for you. after bootcamp, depending on what A school you have, most of the longer ones allow you to have a tv in your room after the first few weeks. So I'd hold on to it. If you want to get rid of it towards the end of A school, you could probably sell it off pretty quickly to other A schoolers. People sold there crap all the time after subschool

    I have a couple of questions. I am 27, turning 28 in two months. My life up to this point t has been a scrambled mess with trying to figure out life as I come from a very broken family. Recently I stopped all my old habits of any kind of party, smoking, video gaming etc...The stuff that doesn't get you into a career. I tried going the Air Force when I was 19 but had a hernia in the pelvic region that I did not know about so I was denied access. Hernia was fixed 3 years later. I very much want to join the military again and the Navy seems like the smart choice as I am not able to join the Air Force anymore because of the medical fiasco (much more detail that I don't want to get into). Obviously with being 9 years older and 10 years since I've been to an academic school (tried a welding trade school but the job market is horrible in my area...Learned the hard way), I would like to know what I should start on first study wise to help me enter. By this I mean studying ranks, daily schedules, physical fitness expectations and overall mental preparedness. Whenever you get a chance to respond is great as I know it can be very moment to moment with when you have free time in the military. Thank you.

      Hands_On Don't worry about the schooling, nearly all military training is reading and retention (remember what you read type tests and training) you don't need to know what the square root of your social security number is. your a perfect age to join, not immature stuck in a high school mentality and mature enough to know...better. if your serious about joining, go to a recruiter. side line the ifs ands and buts; and go find out.

    Would there be a point in joining the navy after college as enlisted? I'm a freshmen now my school doesn't have navy rotc because we're in the middle of Missouri. I would want to be a MA.

    signed my contract for MM Subs a month ago and dont ship until April 4th, but im looking for a earlier slot. any advice for Sub school? hard to find detailed info about it. especially someones own experience.

    • @GingerSailor
      @GingerSailor  7 лет назад

      sub school is pretty straight forward. The first thing you will go through is BESS basic enlisted submarine school. IF you hit the ground running, you can getto your 2ndstage of liberty within 2 weeks. another 3-4 weeks until you get phase 3. Show up to everything on time with a clean shave and a decent looking uniform. keep your room clean and make sure your roommate does too. those few things will help you out the entire time you're at subschool
