Never mentioned taking out inner tub from outer tub

When I was banging out the shaft, the tub was basically out. The reason why the inner tub is difficult to remove is because it stuck. Removing the shaft with the inner tub. Some models comes out a little differently

I wouldn't tighten that shaft nut to much or it'll bind and throw an error code. I let the silicone cure over night before moving on any further.

Actually the the two bearings work in tandem. You want them to ride together. If you don’t bring them together, you end up overloading the top bearing. I actually have a video explaining how the two bearings work together. If everything is straight, you should not get an error message.

@@appliancerepairshorts Agree both must be fully seated against the tube insert. I like the sealed bearings. But I understand like seating a wheel bearing . I'm certainly no pro.

Exactly. I like the sealed as well

Ummm stator is cracked. I was just replacing the bearings/seal/shaft. While removing stator found it had 4 cracks so replaced stator as well. Incidently did you clean the weeping hole?

They all get like that. I don’t worry about it. Usually a tiny hairline crack isn’t nothing. Yes on the weeping hole. Appreciate your comment

@appliancerepairshorts I'd be afraid the stator would come apart. Cracks at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o, clock. Like spokes. Seen em on both sides. I'd say they were due to stress and overheating. Perhaps the seal draining water thru the weeping hole unto the rotor cover deteriorates the plastic somehow . Or even poor quality. Seemed to be off brand. Whirlpool has their name on thiers. Sure makes for a quieter machine after the seal, shaft, bearing and lubing kit is put in. Like night and day. Lol
