It all goes back to the very beginning. "I am Loki, of Asgard....and I am burdened with glorious purpose". He finally picked his burden, and truly fulfilled a glorious purpose. It's not the glory he originally wanted, but being the god who saved everyone, on every timeline, spending eternity at the end of time holding it all together truly is a glorious purpose.
Loki has one of the greatest character arcs of all time. He started the show as a god who wanted to rule everyone and everything in the universe for selfish reasons, to a god who selflessly watches over and protects the MULTIVERSE, in isolation, from a throne outside of time and space. Mobius told him that he needed to choose which burden he could live with to fulfill his purpose, and as heavy as it was, this was the only choice in which all of his friends and family as well as all of the people of the multiverse would be saved. He is a true hero now. My heart absolutely breaks that this Loki is now and possibly always will be alone, but at least he can watch over everyone he cares for from afar. ALL HAIL LOKI, THE GOD OF STORIES!!!!
The full circle arc of Loki wanting a throne so badly for no reason whatsoever other than “I want it” to not wanting it and being afraid of being alone causing him to make the ultimate sacrifice of holding the timelines together and remaining alone on a throne with no worship but for the mere knowledge that the people he cared about lived. Truly a hell of an arc. And kudos to the incredible supporting cast that allowed Tom Hiddleston to showcase his incredible acting chops. Everyone played their role to perfection. Truly one of the best MCU shows.

Many things made a full circle and ended up transformed by the journey. The TVA went from a cold police state to being a family. OB went from someone no one visits to being in the thick of things. Mobius went from someone who never had to experience time on a timeline to someone who is going to let time pass. Silvie went from being unloved and unwanted to someone who is so loved by Loki, he sacrificed himself because he could not bear to kill her. That too is a glorious burden.

The way this made me cry, loki made the ultimate sacrifice, he realized he doesn't want a throne, he wants to be love and love those he cares for, he wants to help, he wants to belong. He doesn't want to be alone. But in that realization he knew that to give his loved ones a chance, he had to literally give himself, but not only that, he said "I'll do it for you, for all of us", he did it for also for his variants, for them to have the opportunity to grow just as he did, to find love, to help, to be happy. loki Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but didn't Tom Hiddleston audition for Thor, and then Marvel folk saw him and say "nah... you a Loki" and my God was that casting amazing or what? It's a bittersweet ending when you realize that a Loki, destined to cause Ragnarok, the end of the world, and destined to LOSE like sylvie and HWR said, and he found his glorious purpose in its burden for the sake of others. And it's his test against HWR when he told him "we die with the dying, we are born with the dead", or something along those lines, and realizing that history is the culmination of all the decisions of everyone in the world, including himself, and the past shapes them, drives them, but ultimately you are the one that's living for that past, for their future, for what they gave their hearts for, you are the culmination of all that has happened to you, and for him, centuries of losing, especially towards the end, have taught not only humility but the ability to live outside of time, with nothing driving him but his own willpower and conviction... He could have given up after centuries, but he never stopped trying, never stopped losing, never stopped trying again... until he realized that if he was destined to lose, then so be it, but he's taking down the thing that's hurting everyone else with him... with the hope that he can replace it with something better....by honoring HIS dead and liviing, HIS culture, by tapping into his teaching and own convictions and literally creating and powering the Yggdrasil, the norse lore tree of life... He realized in season 1 that Lokis are stronger than they thought when he met his older variant that had incredible magic powers... and that variant only tapped into that power because he didnt want to be alone while hiding from Thanos and TVA... he became stronger because he wanted to create illusions of his HOME, his FAMILY, his FRIENDS, and he lost because he couldnt bare the loneliness... I love this ending even though it's so bittersweet. Loki's Glorious Purpose has finally has arrived with Loki realizing he can replace the branch-killing Loom, and therefore the Sacred Timeline, with something better: himself. Loki takes He Who Remains place at the End of Time but Loki also becomes the God of Stories according to the MCU wiki and most interpretations. If he is the God of Stories for the MCU then the MCU would be changing the meaning of the God of Stories from the comics but they have changed big things before. I also love how the new natural Loom is in the shape of Yggdrasil. When Loki locks Mobius and Sylvie out and tearfully says goodbye to them, he says the same last words he said to Odin right before falling off the Bifrost Bridge and seemingly dying: “I could have done it, father. For you! For all of us!”. Loki's purpose is a glorious one, but the burden is completely heavy, where he is completely alone, unable to be with his loved ones ever again. Still Loki gets watch over them from countless timelines. Yggdrasil, also known as the Tree of the World or the World's Tree, is a concept used by the Asgardians to describe the cosmic nebula, with each branch or root representing one of the Nine Realms but this new Yggdrasil is not just for the Nine Realms but for the entire multiverse.
Victor the variant is still in the TVA. And the past versions already “happened”. The TVA was not reset this time. But the original Victor, not the variant in the TVA, is still the kid pouring candles. Regarding Loki it was the TVA that labeled him variant. Until the time travel in endgame, he was the same as the Loki who died. I’d guess this was always his glorious purpose, that this Loki would exist. HWR embodied real evil: providing a false choice between two evils. Loki would not accept evil as a solution. And the very evil that HWR was plotting, was turned around into the good that saved everyone. And honestly the image of Loki at the end was like a Christ image (in a poetic way). This was an incredible story that went out of comic book into Myth (in the true sense of the word). Oh my. This was the best ending to any marvel story. Keep in mind the term “variant” is a HWR term. In actual “fate” there are no variants there are only people. Love the purgatory analogy. Very true. This who series has been a purification of Loki. I also love that costuming…it is a humble Loki. Only the throne was gold. Not Loki. I’m so excited to hear your reaction! You picked up the deeper stuff. Any really good story, any “myth” in the true sense of the word, has that deeper stuff.
HWR's plan was doomed to failure, because Loki is the true God in MCU. HWR didn't create time slipping of Loki, he lied. If HWR could create time slipping for someone, he would do it for himself. However, he couldn't. This was Loki's natural inner power. Loki is kind of Jesus who makes a redemptive sacrifice for the sake of all mankind. He grew up without fully realizing his essence and purpose, so his powers were not revealed untill the right time. And when he understood what kind of god he needs to be, he was able to do what only God with a capital letter can do. All questions about Loki paradox are now identical to questions about paradox of Jesus. And answers are the same. By the way, some believe that Loki's name came from λόγος ( lógos, "word", a name or title of Jesus, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"), and his very image was inspired by Jesus, who was alien to Scandinavian paganism at that time, so they interpreted this image their own way. I'm talking about this from literature and mythological perspective, so don't be mad, if you religious. I'm just talking about inspiration for this Loki. We know that Loki is Jötunn, frost giant (the first inhabitants of the world, in time preceding the gods and people). Ymir was the first living being, a frost giant, from which the world was created (from meat - dry land, from blood - water, from bones - mountains, from teeth - rocks, from hair - forest, from brain - clouds, from skull - the vault of heaven. Each of the four corners of the firmament of the new gods rolled in the shape of a horn. Auðumbla - is a primeval cow, that appeared from the melting ice at the beginning of time together with the first giant Ymir (who fed from her milk), and over the course of three days she licked away the salty rime rocks and revealed Búri, grandfather of the gods. In deleted scene form 2011 movie Thor calls Loki cow. So now we have that Loki is frost giant and god at the same time and his crown is symbol of life and creaton of the world.
I don’t know if you realize, in fact it seems many haven’t, but as one reviewer has said that the very first time HWR said “see you soon “ he was actually talking to Loki, and not Sylvie which we were all lead to believe. With these new time lines Loki is actually energizing them, sort of nourishing them .
I can’t describe how powerful the score for this season was. Natalie Holt made a goddamn masterpiece with the music in this finale. From the opening credits to the end title card, it was spectacular, moving, glorious, perfection. By far my favourite score I’ve ever heard in a TV show.
YES!! The more we listen the more we uncover the genius of her score for this…the layers match the layers of the show. This will stand the test of time…across all multiverses!
@@MaJeliv I’m so glad you agree! Natalie Holt’s OST is now out on Spotify. The opening title card song is called “Back”, the scene where Loki is ascending to the throne is (fittingly) called “Ascension”, then “Purpose is Glorious” is the montage song right before the end, and “History is Now” is the final song.
Here i came after 10 months to see your reaction again. When i saw this finale, i know it will be such a rollercoaster of emotion for most of people. I just miss seeing this natural feelings where people take what can be taken from this series, some sort kind of lessons that put something in your hearts, its just so pure and- i cant explain further more, but it's BEAUTIFUL.
Loki became the God of stories Loki. His most powerful version. And Loki is now the most powerful character in the whole MCU. Also the tree he created is the Yggdrasil the tree of life in Norse mythology. Also renslayer saw Alioth the beast that ate the prune people.
HWR viewed the problem like most people, as a human. He meant to control the chaos by creating the loom where he viewed timelines as strands. I can't really blame him for his limitations. Humans get tired while Gods just get bored. Must be why he paved the path to meet the Loki and Sylvie.
The Tree you see as loki Creates the new Timeline is a reference to Yggdrasil. The wordtree in Nordic Mythologie wich is the tree that connects the ralms and reality
This Series is everything we want to see in the shows and even the movies, sometimes they don,t always achieve that, but when they do in shows like Ms Marvel and Loki its worth it all (I also cant wait to see your thoughts on the Marvels, I personally really enjoyed it a lot) The end of the day Toms performance in Loki was everything, the entire cast were so good, and even though this feels like they closed the chapter to the character, i hope that Marvel takes from what they learned from the time they put into the Loki series and help spread that strength through out their future programs. thanks for the reaction guys it was fun as always.
It's also the first time in literal forever that Loki's free to love, free to choose, free to become what he has always KNOWN he could be: that he was born to destiny. But until now, until the TVA, until Moebus and Sylvie and the buddy-pack, he's been working with a rigged situation designed to ALWAYS place Odin and Thor and the Avengers and whoever ahead of him. As Moebus points out in the first season, he's got to choice *except* in the TVA, where he has the freedom of living outside time and the various timelines. Being pruned set him free to make real, meaningful choices not set up to force him into loss. He's no longer being scripted by a hidden hand, fated to fail. Sylvie's argument about choice, being free to die trying, defines Loki's choice--as does the bitterness of the End of Time Lokis who know they never had a chance--that their villainy was imposed and their presumption to be other than villains was killed in the very moment of birth. If Loki had accepted the temptation of He Who Remains, and killed Sylvie, he'd have also killed himself and his own dreams and his own ideals, and accepted that the deaths of all the hopes of all the Lokis was "all right." But if you have free will, you have meaning. If you have no free will then nothing you do ever really mattered: you're just a mechanical cog in a mindless machine of doom. If there IS free will, it's all meaningful, and in a sense we are all Gods of the Story.
Talk about character development. Loki went from a self-centered God that wanted to control everyone to a selfless God that sacrificed himself to save everyone. I imagine Thor would be very proud of him.
Loki didn't take the place of He Who Remains. He took the place of the loom. He IS the loom now so He Who Remains isn't in control anymore because he never considered the possibility that Loki would make the ultimate sacrifice.
I was wondering why Victor said “Pumpkins”, did an AI search and it said that in the 1890’s if they saw a fireworks display or a spectacular dress, the exclamation could have been “pumpkins!”
Yeah, it was the lingo of the time. It meant like "awesome" or "cool". Like in the 1930s, one would say a person was "the bees' knees" meaning they were great, or cool, in today's lingo.
Victor is most likely a Kang variant who was stolen as a child and placed into the 1800s (probably by He Who Remains). Kangs are from the 31st century. Maybe HWR implanted some knowledge into the child's brain which is why this variant stutters - and is not as evil/arrogant. The branch where Renslayer gives him the TVA manual may have been shredded. Lots of timelines were chaotically shredded. It's left open what will happen to the child. The Victor Timely in the TVA should still be there. Loki spent centuries learning all he could from both OB and Timely. They should have some memories of that. It is very likely that in teaching Loki, they learned new things as well.
I think Sylvies kept raising her eyebrow throughout becuz subconsciously she knew that different scenarios kept playing out. A subtle thing but very cool.
I've watched so many people react to this episode and it's crazy how many people said they would've just killed Sylvie without even looking for another solution.
the norse tree of life , connects the nine kingdoms I believe, look it up if you're interested.. but it was perfectly done. The episode was a masterpiece.
The "For you. For all of guy." Is a callback to the end of the first Thor movie. Its what Loki says to Odin and Thor before he lets go and falls into space.
Hair can move in space if it's gravitationally perturbed by sufficient mass and/or energy such as temporal radiation as well as the loom's chaotic destruction. Static electricity can also affect it to a lesser extent.
It's like way beyond Yggdrassil. That one just composits the realms within one universe, but here, there's a world tree in each timeline. It's the Tree of Trees.
@@nikkan3810 not in marvel comics yggdrassil the axis mundi encompasses all creation. be it the omiverse multiverse universe or king realms outside of it.
Victor Timely is a variant. The 1st Kang is Nathaniel Richards, a descendant of Reed Richards (which rumor is that Marvel is closing on getting Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards) if they follow the comic book storyline.
Honestly what a show. Great ending. No No you missed the point at 26:28. HWR is and was smart. The simple reason for him eliminating the branches and not allowing it grow was simply to erase his variants and prevent another war. He could have easily built a device to help the branches grow but this would mean more of his variants. Loki doing that at the end only gives them a fighting chance but HWR was still right anyway at least if they dont scrap the Kang story. The war still happens. Sylvie states it at the end "He's giving us a chance". its all about perspective. HWR won the war and then wanted to prevent the war from ever happening again, Loki inevitably knows the war will happen but isnt trying to prevent it. And for obvious plot reasons because we know the war will still happen in Kang dynasty, the multiverse needs to be somewhat stable, Loki has provided that. Inevitably everything will burn like HWR said because we know secret wars will happenn and im guessing Loki will lose his purpose at that point and his new purpose will be to help the Multiversal heroes fight whoever Prime Kang will be (probably reincarnated HWR) and end the multiversal war properly, keeping things actually stable this time.
Wow! We appreciate this deep thought and your theory. Time will only tell; regardless this may stand as the best stand alone Tv series the MCU will EVER put out. Whoever writes up the reminder of this lore will have to protect it from the studio executives much like the creators of LOKI S1 and S2z. Wouldn’t you agree?
This show was amazing. Your whole family is pretty cool. Its hilarious watching everyones wonder and astonishment as the end was unfolding. Yggdrasil...
lol, for those who don't know loki replaces kang, no more pruning innocent (for sophie), new TVA exist so that kang variants doesn't get the knowledge of time and loki is god of time now
Intelligent and compassionate loom is what Loki became. He learn the physics and science of the loom, the understanding of Sylvie and the unselfish sacrifice of Mobius and incorporated it into his person.
God of Stories, chillin in Yggdrasil (life tree). Yall ever think the handheld shots were just He Who Remains watching? Then when it switched to Loki and Sylvie talking to each other was the moment it was Loki watching? Such great reactions, such a great show..
Loki: "I don't want to be alone." Also Loki: "The last thing I want is a throne." Also Loki: "I know what kind of God I need to be. (aka being alone on a throne)"
You make it sound like Loki contradicted himself, and it's rather disingenuous given what took place. Loki knowing "what kind of God [he needs] to be" was a selfless act -- it didn't benefit him. On the contrary, he is now fated to be without those he cares for on a timeless throne that almost nobody knows about (relatively speaking). Thor would be so proud of him for such a sacrifice.
Every single episode of this show was phenomenal (except s1e3, was a little slow, but still built up the characters). Loved it. What a great show, and they actually ended it too. While some characters may show up later, they ended arcs and completed it. (Unlike Wandavision where it's clear all the characters were being setup for future stories, especially the dark foreshadowing with Wanda)
Ultimately HWRs wanted to keep all the timelines pruned to keep all the kangs from those timelines away bc they'll all eventually learn time & multiverse travel which will destroy everything buuut it unfortunately has to happen now and I can't wait
They had to go back and stop Victor from getting that book as a boy. HWR specifically choose his Victor Timely variant because in that branch it would always loop back to him no matter how hard they tried. So with Victor continuing his original time line, HWR no longer exist... yet?
It was Ravona and Miss Minutes’ fault that Victor Timely was pulled into the entire situation. They wanted to mold him into He Who Remains, but thats just not who he was meant to be. It was them giving the book to Victor which inspired the loom, and He Who Remains essentially uses it along with the TVA to dictate all of time. Victor otherwise would have lived a normal innocent life as an intelligently gifted inventor. But also without him, the TVA wouldn’t exist. You can think of it as one variant using another.
I think you should watch Manikarnika. It's a great indian film based on the freedom struggle of india. A 23 yr old queen fought for the freedom struggle of the country. It's amazing. You just watch the trailer and you'll get the thrills out of it. It's a great inspiring movie for women.

Loki has become the most powerful God in multiverse who has the power of time. And Morbius will be seen soon in Deadpool 3 which come in July 2024.
Loki’s arc is right up there with Iron Man’s as the best in the MCU. Tom Hiddleston could not have done a better job with this character
@@MaJeliv i guess I REALLY liked it😂
Silvie Cant Stop Because she was Trying from Thousands of Years From Her Childhood 😢, So Its Obvious ,❤
Loki literally holding the whole MCU.
Loki became the God of stories Loki. His most powerful version. And Loki is now the most powerful character in the whole MCU. Also the tree he created is the Yggdrasil the tree of life in Norse mythology. Also renslayer saw Alioth the beast that ate the prune people.
Omg and that is why the time stone is green because LOKI powers time
Constant goosebumps from the moment he starts walking into the void
Season 1: branches of timelines
Season 2: a whole tree
A whole tree born out of unselfish love
Loki literally made Yggdrasil. He literally made the Norse Tree of life.
.
It's between Loki and Iron Man for the greatest "I'm him" moment in the MCU
Hope I will Get Mobious Like Friend ❤😊 One Day Oh Jesus😢❤
HWR viewed the problem like most people, as a human. He meant to control the chaos by creating the loom where he viewed timelines as strands. I can't really blame him for his limitations. Humans get tired while Gods just get bored. Must be why he paved the path to meet the Loki and Sylvie.
The Tree you see as loki Creates the new Timeline is a reference to Yggdrasil. The wordtree in Nordic Mythologie wich is the tree that connects the ralms and reality
Yep. When I saw what he created, I just was so shocked.
So happy to see your reaction appear! What a phenomenal show. Awesome finale
Thank you! Yes it was simply the best!
Now i love loki so much this character is so fukkin good
That's why the time stone is Green , and the true stone is red ... Nicee❤❤
21:47 the gold and green light that kinda overshadows mobius is loki listening to their conversation.
If Loki had accepted the temptation of He Who Remains, and killed Sylvie, he'd have also killed himself and his own dreams and his own ideals, and accepted that the deaths of all the hopes of all the Lokis was "all right."
But if you have free will, you have meaning. If you have no free will then nothing you do ever really mattered: you're just a mechanical cog in a mindless machine of doom. If there IS free will, it's all meaningful, and in a sense we are all Gods of the Story.
2012 avengers loki becomes the god of stories, he can see every Time line everything that happens
Talk about character development. Loki went from a self-centered God that wanted to control everyone to a selfless God that sacrificed himself to save everyone. I imagine Thor would be very proud of him.
Loki sacrificed and got the throne and prisoned forever eternity holding the branches so it may live.
“Loki” and “What if” are best of best of MCU. I love these two series so much
Loki didn't take the place of He Who Remains.
My great-great-grandmother would use Pumpkins.I haven't heard it since she passed away when I was a kid.
@@walteralcaraz5898I still say "the bees knees" 😂😂😂
It’s just sad that he’s still alone even after he finally feels accepted by the people around him.
Loki became the loom. It is interesting that his loom takes the shape of Yggdrasil.
Which we also see at the end of What If? Season 2
Dr Doom Villan Colour Green , &
Loki Hero Colour Green 💚 ,
So Smart Writing 💚Vs 😈💚

I hope this isn't the end of Tom as Loki, hopefully he returns in a future movie
i think it is😔 he said something about it in an interview
He's playing big part in Secret Wars.
My name is loki and I am burdened with glorious purpose
Loki has become the "God of Time" that's the God he has to be . He is now Atlez the custodian of the multiverse .
I think Sylvies kept raising her eyebrow throughout becuz subconsciously she knew that different scenarios kept playing out. A subtle thing but very cool.
I've watched so many people react to this episode and it's crazy how many people said they would've just killed Sylvie without even looking for another solution.
The only problem with that is how does Loki kill someone he cares about deeply?
@@Rascool69 Not to mention that the idea of self sacrifice over having to sacrifice someone else has been a recurring MCU theme for years.
the norse tree of life , connects the nine kingdoms I believe, look it up if you're interested.. but it was perfectly done. The episode was a masterpiece.
The "For you. For all of guy." Is a callback to the end of the first Thor movie. Its what Loki says to Odin and Thor before he lets go and falls into space.
22:19 How loki's hair moved in space there is no wind there 😅
Hair can move in space if it's gravitationally perturbed by sufficient mass and/or energy such as temporal radiation as well as the loom's chaotic destruction. Static electricity can also affect it to a lesser extent.
The three is Yggdrasil (loki is a Nordic God after all), the thre that hold all the realms on its branches
Tree of Yggdrasil is the tree of the worlds (9 Realms), now it's tree of timelines
It's like way beyond Yggdrassil. That one just composits the realms within one universe, but here, there's a world tree in each timeline. It's the Tree of Trees.
@@nikkan3810 no its yggdrasil. branches are realms/timelines/alternate universes. Read up
@@nikkan3810 not in marvel comics yggdrassil the axis mundi encompasses all creation. be it the omiverse multiverse universe or king realms outside of it.

Loki 2011 & 2023 : For you. For all of us
Odin 2011 & Mobius/Sylvie 2023 : No, Loki
But in Odin's case it was rejection.
Loki’s character arc was simply amazing. I cannot wait for him to comeback and at least watch the sunset with Thor.
"He chose his burden" 🥺
Goodbye Tom 😢. U played Loki to perfection
He’s not gone lol
@@unbowedqueen Yep. He's done with Loki.
@@MaJelivthis is not his theory. This is what actually happening. Btw have you seen Deadpool 1&2?

Loki's story is over, but also just beginning. For all time, always
41:13 The Boy was probably Victor Von Doom.
YOooo!!!
Loki: "I don't want to be alone."
Also Loki: "The last thing I want is a throne."
Also Loki: "I know what kind of God I need to be. (aka being alone on a throne)"
Haha you speak truth
@@MaJeliv wow didn't expect this reply 😅❤
The new mission of the TVA is to stop all the HWR/Kang variants.
I'd watch a show about THAT!
Ultimately HWRs wanted to keep all the timelines pruned to keep all the kangs from those timelines away bc they'll all eventually learn time & multiverse travel which will destroy everything buuut it unfortunately has to happen now and I can't wait
Love the channel 🙌🏾 can’t wait ❤️
Because you've seen it before? Pumpkins expand exponentially. Said the Farmboy.

bro, we literally in this video finn wolfhard and johnny galecki 😅😂
They had to go back and stop Victor from getting that book as a boy. HWR specifically choose his Victor Timely variant because in that branch it would always loop back to him no matter how hard they tried. So with Victor continuing his original time line, HWR no longer exist... yet?
YOu choose your burden, most purpose is more burden than glory.
I hadn't thought of it till you said that, but maybe He Who Remains already knows the real solution and he doesn't like it?
nexus event is not suposed to happen, absolute points in time does always
Loki made timeline in shape of a Tree so that Timeline can Multiple like and don't colloid each other like tree grows
wove the timelines together to create the legitimate Yggdrasil, the World Tree. now the multiverse tree
Timely never actually got the book at the end. What loki did changed it
It was Ravona and Miss Minutes’ fault that Victor Timely was pulled into the entire situation.
There is not such thing as "meant to be". The show is literally about free will.
That's the Nors tree Tree of Life Nors mythology the realms Loki is not dead he is celestial being.God of stories Prime Avenger in the comics
