What are you waiting for? I see my desert storm buddies every single year. We meet in Myrtle beach every April for a week of golf. From Pittsburgh all the way to Apache Junction, everyone makes it every year. 12 men, 9 different states.
I was deployed twice during the gulf war. This is how deep that connection can be. You spend 24 hrs a day with these people. They become very special to you. This was beautiful to watch. Thank you for your service.
As a retired military man, this video did my heart good....thanks for sharing this. I'm thankful to have served along side men and women like you guys to protect the freedoms and interest of our country! YOU ARE APPRECIATED! God Bless you guys.
The bond we make with those we served with isn’t something that goes away. We live, eat, sleep, hurt, celebrate, argue, fight. We are all that we have over there. It’s a bond that cannot be explained.
these men do not score touchdowns nor do they hit home runs, but they are by far the truest meaning of HERO than does that do score touchdowns and hit home runs. my highest respect to you both and all those that serve.
You are so right - the world honors "HEROS" that are nothing close to a hero that serves our country! Thank you for your service, God Bless you both & see each other more often!!!!!
So glad you were finally able to reunite. Not only are you best friends but you could be brothers. The resemblance is uncanny! God bless you both and thank you for your service.
@armybeef68 we grilled and talked shit while getting drunk. Then the next day we all drove to where our buddy was buried. We had a house on the lake for the whole thing. Met with his family at the cemetery. Wrnt back to the house and continued to get fucked up. Next time we're gonna go to an amusement park or somethin.
Way to go Caleb! I think most people forget that military families serve too. And your son was right there on the battlefield with you every day. The point is, he understands his dad better than most. Thank you all for your service!
Moments like this, are not forgotten, EVER! I have had two moments like this. I stopped and surprised a female who I worked with and deployed with while I was in Germany. It had been 22 years since we had seen each other. A few months after that, I learned that one of the mechanics from that unit in Germany, was having surgery in Omaha. I was working out there, so I stopped and visited him and his wife one evening. They were both moments that meant a lot to me and I hope to them.
Companionship is something you have to experience to feel it. It's a very special connection that can still be felt even if you haven't seen each other for many years. Great video! Greetings to all brothers in arms around the world.
Great story gentlemen and thank you for your service! Glad y’all could find happiness and got to reunite! Go army beat navy! Also I’m not crying it’s just this bowl of onions.
So adorable 🥰 ummmmm it’s like looking at the same guy! Dammit man y’all could be brothers. So glad y’all have each other. What a wonderful son to put everything together. Sending love ❤️ from Dallas.
Men will never forge the memory and friendship they have made. some people will never understand. well time may have passed they will act like the happy boy within
You can be so lucky to have a good friend like that! It is scarce to have buddy relations like that! You must treasure it with all your hart. I don’t have a buddy but a brother. We are close i would die for my brothers life!
LUV THIS!!! you 2 look like brothers!!! ❤ Glad you got to hook up & spend some time together. You may want to consider being neighbors. 10yrs is a long time to be w/o your soul buddy 😁✌️
Love this so much. Especially being a Retired LEO kid…. It’s one thing serving with my dad as a family unit, but it was another putting my heart into 6 other peoples hands and trust the training!
Just realizing how lucky my fiance is for having not only his battle buddy but a several of his close buddies from his time in service be a part of our daily lives. I'm lucky too. Thank you Ryan, for being there for us!
Damn this hits home. I've been struggling with PTSI for years. Pushed all my friends away due to shame etc etc. Bla bla bla. Gets lonely. Makes me happy when people re connect.
I'm one of those kinds of people that wanted to forget as much as I could about my time in the war and regrettably lost contact with the guys I was closest to after I got out. It was hard to make the effort to reconnect especially after I had a difficult time trying to re adjust to being a civilian. Years later, one of those guys who happened to still be serving, reached out to me on social media and we spoke for a bit and told me this: "we spilled blood in the same mud so we're brothers, no one can take that away"... later that year he was KIA in, farah province, Afghnistan. If that wasn't enough to break me, than a couple years after that, another buddy reached out and told me another close friend of ours took his own life on the 4th of July. So if there's any lesson to this it's: don't always be the one expecting folks to call you. Try and be the one to reach out to others.
This is brotherly love and they ain't even brothers. Wish I had the same relationship with mine. Just goes to show it's not all about you having the same parent. Kindred souls.
I haven’t seen my battle buddies since 2010. Sure do miss them guys. Bonds like these are sacred.
