As far as i know he's the only one able to go out and properly help since he's the sheriff but there's so much going on that the workload gets overfilled and most fables get forgotten or ignored.
In all honesty him having a hard shell is probably the only reason he was the best for Sheriff I can’t imagine everyone could handle that workload plus the physical toll only Wolfie could bounce back after dealing with rough times like a normal Tuesday
The key thing here is the urgency. He showed up because it was something to be dealt with immediately, but when the situation would require long-term effort and resources it gets pushed to the side in favor of focusing on the higher class (see: The sister's disappearance having happened three months ago with no sign of work being done atop Crane's clear disdain for her kind)
Everything Snow says I agree with because it makes sense. Except burning the tree and sending Colin to the farm. The tree burning was such a very bitch move on her part. It was personal to her and she allowed her feelings get in the way. I can never understand people’s distaste for Snow. But I do understand if they are pissed with her about the tree.
When I played this game I was too young to understand the the dark themes and why yhe crooked man was the bad guy. It seemed like everyone was bad, but I couldn't put it into words. After watching this video, I finally see why everyone's problematic and that Bigby is just trying to do the right thing in difficult situations. So thanks for explain and clarifying some of the things my dumb brain couldn't grasp!
Ever since I was a kid I never liked magic but for some reason Harry Potter and the wolf among us makes magic interesting and I could never understand why those two was the exception for me. Maybe it’s people of the societal formation. People’s everyday human operatings that make it appear interesting
I unfortunately never had the opportunity to play this game, but I can’t count the amount of times I have seen the gameplays. To this day, it’s one that has stuck with me. I already knew as a teenager but even more so now as an adult the impact this failed system has on the story and how much it reflects on real life. It’s been long but i still wish for a sequel lol especially in dark times like these
This video was so amazing! It was such an in-depth and thoughtful analysis of The Wolf Among Us, and honestly, I think it’s one of your best videos yet, just like you anticipated. The way you broke everything down really shows how much care and effort you put into it, and knowing you put 20+ hours into this makes it even more impressive! That said, I do have a bit of a bias because, as you can probably tell from my profile pic, I’m a huge Walking Dead fan, so your videos on that series hold a special place for me. But this one definitely competes with them. Phenomenal work! Also, you absolutely got your point across that The Wolf Among Us is much darker than I originally thought. You really opened my eyes to how deep and layered it is. I can’t wait to see what you do next, especially the upcoming in depth character analysis for one of the 5 Walking Dead characters at 2.5K subscribers.🐺❤
Thank you so much! It genuinely means a lot to me that you enjoyed the video and recognized the effort that went into it. I really appreciate you sticking around since The Walking Dead videos and taking the time to watch this one and share your thoughts! The Walking Dead will definitely return to the channel - multiple times! I promised at least three character essays, and they’ll come! Thank you again for watching and for your continued support - it truly means the world to me!
@JoshuaTXI You thought I’d just leave that easily? Nah, I’m not that predictable! I may have joined for The Walking Dead, but I stayed because your videos are consistently amazing, walkers or not! Besides, someone’s got to be the lone member of this channel, right? I’m here for the long haul, and I can’t wait to see what you do next (especially those Walking Dead character essays-no pressure or anything!). Keep up the incredible work. It’s been so worth sticking around for so far! 😊
@GogTheBrave I appreciate you being the lone member! You get the crown of my biggest supporter right now haha! Hopefully I can add more perks to it soon!
After reading some of Fables I think the game did a great job of getting the vibe across. The comic is just as dark, and well worth checking out if anyone wants to dive deeper in the universe, see why things are the way they are. Maybe look up a reading order to help parse the timeline with all the short spinoffs. The run started in 2002, and add to that I think the characters use the odd intentionally outdated/old timey lingo and phrases given they arrived centuries ago, so the dialogue can take some getting used to at first lol. The dialogue in the game is a lot more comtemporary and concise I think. Looking forward to Wolf 2 now that Telltale is back from the dead. Hopefully we get our hands on it this year.
while still in college back in 2018 I get in the shower and get back to the dorm room and I see my brother playing something that we never had on our console: the wolf among us. He said he was bored and downloaded the game. I was angry at first because he downloaded such a boring and useless game into our game station but after seeing a few sequences of gameplay and the formula of the game it look interesting and I got into it and played the whole game. That is how I got interested in the game. It was in that instance that I wanted a season 2 as well and I was overjoyed by such an interesting game like this.
That's a really interesting story! It's funny how sometimes the games we least expect to enjoy end up being our favorites. Telltale's releases definitely hook you with their stories rather than first impression gameplay!
If you like the game and can't wait for maybe the two, i would suggest to read the comics Fables. You'll have these characters thrown into so much shits !
It’s stuff like as to why I adore Snow White. Her determination to aid Fabletown. She cared about that task so much that she did Crane’s job behind his back to make improvements. Her willingness to do this is what makes me adore Snow. When my bro downloaded this game and I met Faith and then Beauty. What went through my head was how this game had so many beautiful women. But then when Bigby opened his door expecting Faith and then it was Snow White… my heart sack. Out of the women I saw so far, Snow was such a drop dead gorgeous woman. I was head over heels for for; her looks, determination to aid fabletown. Forgive me for saying but… Crane had taste; no wonder he was obsessed
So, as someone who found your channel through your walking dead essays (which are some of the best I've seen on that game) I think my biggest problem with this was that it is mostly just a recap. I really don't think you need to spend so much time walking us through the game and recounting the plot. Your analysis and discussion of themes/character are the most important part, and in this 26 min video it feels like only 5-10 min focused on that.
Thank you for the critique, I completely understand your point! I actually felt the same way with my Season 4 essay, which is why I decided to cut down on the amount of recap in this one. I aimed to focus more on the key story beats that support the point I wanted to make, such as where we find our main culprits and how the Fables endure such miserable lives. The tricky part is definitely finding the right balance: providing enough recap for older players who might need a refresher (since the game is 12 years old) while keeping it engaging and valuable for newer players. I really appreciate your feedback on this, and I’ll keep working to refine my scripts to deliver the right mix of information and opinion. Thanks again!
I’m confused why does everyone resent Bigby for neglecting them while the game starts with him dealing with a call in a poor part of town
they knew of his past as the Big Bad Wolf.
As far as i know he's the only one able to go out and properly help since he's the sheriff but there's so much going on that the workload gets overfilled and most fables get forgotten or ignored.

We have never forgotten about this gem.

Thanks for making this, played the demo as a kid and the game multiple times, you helped me realize how serious these themes are

Top 3 of Telltale Games
🥇 Telltale Walking Dead
🥈 The Wolf Amoung Us
🥉 Batman Telltale
Fully agree! I'd put Tales as joint third though, Tales was really good!
@JoshuaTXI I haven't played tales before, I was watching a playthrough but didn't finish. It was pretty peak from what I remember
I would 100% agree
real!!!!!!
It had its slow moments where the low budget showed, but Guardians was a fun one too, it had a lot of heart
This is actually one of my favourite games!
Can you do the wolf among us cut content or show us the game files please?
That might be a good idea for the future! The game does indeed have a ton of cut scenes and characters!
@ thank you so much 😊
Everyone shut up and read Fables
Fables is great, forgot to mention that. I'd truly recommend reading it, especially with the compendiums so easy to get now!
Truly a goated game. I love it
good vid
Loved loved loved this game
