There is so much going on in this piece. It's so joyful, I found myself laughing in spots. There are some very tender moments as well. The commercial in the slow tempo is a drag.
This is a very tough spot. It will take a lot of time playing it in slow tempo. Your thumb will be very sore (it will get better later on), but it is worth it...
My goodness. I haven’t heard or played this for a very long time. Will have to dig it out. I saw your teaser video on Twitter and had to come for a listen. This takes me back to my very missed and loved first cello teacher. Very lovely playing! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌻🌻

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
4:47 slow
Is there any way to make 4:12 easier?
Is practice the only way?

nice 我学习到了很多! thank u!
Your playing is fantastic! Its a good idea to see nearly the thumb position. What level is this sonata?
This sonata is not included in Suzuki method. I think it is similar (advanced) level of difficulty to the last couple of books.

Thank you! Sweet memories. I feel the same when I go back to music learned with my teachers. All the best!
Cellopedia Yes, you’re right, sweet memories. 🌻💛 Thank you for the very skilled rendition.

Slow tempo 4:49
What edition of the sonata is this version? In IMSLP there are two or three. Thank you.
I use International edition (Gaspar Cassado). I will put a link in the description. Thank you for listening!
Ok. I found that edition. Thanks for answering
