    Just a reminder to people learning cello and want to play this piece. If it’s too hard don’t try to play it perfect because as ironic as it is going ahead on music can actually drag you down because you missed some key points to learning.

    Did you strictly follow Suzuki's fingerings?

    • @Cellopedia
      @Cellopedia  5 лет назад +3

      HI, Karl. I often change Suzuki fingerings for my students. However, with my earlier Suzuki videos I got too many comments that I use "wrong" fingerings. Now I prefer to use printed fingerings. This helps to avoid confusion. I would suggest everyone to try different fingerings. There is no such a thing as "correct fingering" for everyone. Thank you for your question!

    • @karlmercado
      @karlmercado 5 лет назад +1

      @@Cellopedia I see! Thank you for clarifying.
      Glad to know where you're at. I myself tend to follow printed fingerings, and make some minor changes if it suits me. And yes, I, too, agree that there's no such thing as wrong or correct fingerings.
      Your channel is heaven-sent. I hope you keep making these videos! They make excellent practice companion. :)

    Thanks so much amazing videos, I greatly enjoy and am finding lots of use from them!! I’m not sure if you saw my comment from the previous video but would it be possible for you to do the cello part(s) to Smetana’s Bartered Bride Overture?

    • @Cellopedia
      @Cellopedia  6 лет назад

      Thank you, Sean. I am afraid I will not be able to help with Smetana. First, I decided to give yourself a break from orchestra excerpts for few years ( I spent too much time working on them in the past). Also, I will not be able to make new recordings during the summer months due to many other projects/teaching commitments. My apologies - I hope I will be able to make other videos which you will find helpful. Happy summer time!
