@@VioletDeathRei you cant refuse service for someone just existing with disabilities. Thats illegal discrimination. Or if they only discriminated against blacks or asians would that be only legally chargeable? Its the same thing. like in the 50s in the united state where segregation was a thing.
So in some places in Japan right now the same thing is happening but not to people with disabilities just regular people, “foreigners”, some of which are not and are citizens. discrimination has A LOT of levels
Let's be honest, we all feel something, our brain are hard wired to fear or dislike any sort of unnatural parts of a person's body, however it is how a person act upon that feeling that will define you
yep, it's a natural instinct. Just like trypophobia. If we see signs of bad health or disfigurement, just like with lepers we instinctively want to avoid for fear of contagion.
That's where you find the quality of a person, the one who doesn't confuse his primitive instincts with reality. The poor man may look bad, yes, I don't deny it, but I won't go like a scared child to the manager and tell him to take the man out because he scares me. Be a mature person and understand that there are diseases that leave you like this. Believe me, there are people who look worse and that doesn't make them bad people. It's because of that backward instinct that we have that discrimination against these people exists, because of that and because of ignorance.
@@youdontcare2312 Exactly. And the instict isn't even bad - it helped us even reach this point by straying away from possibly deadly diseases. But in our modern world, where medicine has never been more advanced, never more things have been treatable, if not outright curable, this instinct often can work against us. This man is entirely harmless from a medical perspective, or else he wouldn't be walking around freely.
As you said, the character of a person is shown in their actions, not in their thoughts. To initially have unpleasant thoughts or involuntary to something or someone unusual is normal, but everyone has the choice to either act upon them and make a fuss about it, or to mind their business.
May God bless him and give him joy in his life
How can you be "scared" of this? Are the customers 7 year olds? You can think he looks weird, but there's something really wrong with you if you're scared of this.
I am scared of this. I am scared thet it could be like leprosy and simply being within 15 ft of him when he coughs will make me like him. "But it's not contagious" is something average person couldn't know, and risking my life to find that out is not something I will ever do.

Been discriminated against before for being gay, shit was so weird, like I kind of always figured it would happen at some point but when it actually did happen it was so surreal. Was in a movie theatre on a date with a guy, and I put my arm over his shoulder, and elderly couple sitting next to us got visibly upset and complained directly to us saying we were being disgusting and to "have some shame and go sin in private", I told them to mind their business and if they were uncomfortable with us then they could leave, then the old man got up and then left, he came back with an employee who informed us we had to leave because we were making the old couple "uncomfortable" I explained that I literally just put my arm around his shoulder and that they were uncomfortable because we were gay but they still sided with the couple and kicked us out. Shit was wild.
A friend of mine is part owner of a restaurant and works as a manager 4 nights a week. Whenever he gets a complaint about a disfigured customer, he goes and gives that disfigured customer the VIP treatment. It's an italian restaurant so he has this screened in area and he gives them the privacy they need from the other customers who apparently have issues.
