@@beepbop9378 it boggles my mind that people even think its possible to be racist through "facts and crime statistics". if a specific demographic has higher crime rate then that is a significant cultural issue, and culture is learned behavior not some inherent quality related to their skin color or genetics. @@beepbop9378 the answer is obviously no because your race is not defined by your customs, behavior, and your actions. if you're black, its because you're black. not because you "act like a black person would" lmao. if I insult someone's culture, i'm criticizing the way they act and the way that they were taught to act. skin color or genetics have nothing to do with behavior.
ID for alcohol? Perfectly normal. ID for driving? Perfectly normal. ID to buy a gun? Perfectly normal. ID for voting for your country? Completely outrageous.
I visited the US for a couple of years as an exchange student... even I needed to get a state ID to do basically anything, lol. To buy a car I needed a state ID, even though I was driving on an international license. From memory, it might have even been needed to set up a bank account (or maybe that only needed a proof of residency, I don't remember, was a few years ago, I just remember it being a PITA, lol).
1. Doesn't infringe on the 24th amendment 2. Doesn't infringe on the 24th amendment 3. Technically infringes on the 2nd amendment. 4. Potentially infringes on the 24th amendment. Between guns and votes, I personally feel it is far more important to completely protect our right to vote. Regardless of how difficult it may make things for individual states to validate votes. Which is what the real conversation should be about. Constitutionally speaking, each state is responsible. If any individual state would like to enact voter ID laws which do not infringe upon the 24th amendment, they are more than welcome to do so.
Your dad didn't need one. His dad didn't need one. And his dad before him also didn't need one. If you want to conserve the past then why are you coming up with all these new ideas?
@@Erik52079 An ID for voting, or gun ownership, violates neither the 2nd nor 24th Amendments, because the Constitution is very explicit about due process being a part of both the granting and revoking of rights. For the most clear cut example, in order to have any rights under the US Constitution you must be a US citizen, and therefore must be able to prove US citizenship. Likewise, having a right to bear arms does not mean there cannot be a process for the registration of ownership, just as having a right to vote does not mean there cannot be a process of verifying the identity of a voter. In fact, in my state I need to provide an ID in order to register to vote, so it makes no sense for it to be unconstitutional that I be required to present that same proof of ID when casting my vote.
I'm Mexican-American with a very dark complexion and I've only ever experienced racism once in my life. And that was from a white liberal college-aged woman who -- during a random conversation -- assumed I was also liberal because of the color of my skin. When I told her I was not liberal, she looked astonished and said that I needed to be because I was brown and "non-white."
While working in the US under private security contract one of my jobs was to drive my bosses daughter to the college. Yale I think it was. Anyway we pull in I get out to open the door and her friends come over one of the white girls says not even asking me directly "What's wrong with his skin?" I said "Nothing." She goes "Oh totally like im not like a racist conservative or anything like that, just wanted to know where your from!?" I raised an eyebrow at her and sad "Australia!" And this morons response was "Oh so your like a convict? a coloniser?" I said "Do I look like I'm 250 years old?" Could nearly hear the windows error prompt behind her eyes. She goes "But your white like your skin is weird but your still white, whites are colonisers. Right?" I said "Im mixed race actually im European, Aboriginal, Maori with some Asian thrown in" her response was "What part of America is Maori?" I said "Maori is New Zealand, your *thinking* if you can call it that of Miami..." she's says "Did YOU go to college?" I said "Im glad I didn't now." My skin if your curious is white but it has brown gradient to it so it looks grey in shade but light light gold in the sun.
I love all the replies from "black and brown" people. I'm your "average white guy", I sold some land to a Mexican friend of mine, "mostly because I'm racist". He's building a house two hundred yards from mine, here in "racist" North Carolina.
"They're too stupid to get an ID themselves, but I want them to vote about the next president even though they don't even know where they live" is what they said which is even more wild
How is it LESS racist if you think a certain group are morons that you must give special benefits so they don't fail; than that the same group are dangerous and you must suppress them to keep others safe?

Being European, I find this absolutely crazy, man. It blows my mind that people can vote without an ID. How is that even possible? What stops you from voting 20 times?
There's an issue though, voter ID laws are bad not for being racist but the fact that you must pay money to get identification, you shouldn't have to pay to be able to vote, if the government can supply identification for free then yes I totally support it and would find it beneficial, also cases of people voting a bunch of times like that are like 0.001% or something its incredibly low
@@youtubsux-z4f Are you sure about that last part? If any individual state would like to enact voter ID laws which do not infringe upon the 24th amendment, they are more than welcome to do so.

@@Erik52079 Voter ID laws do no infringe on the 24 amendment you Troglodyte.

Not in all states. In Florida felons don’t have their right to vote automatically restored upon release. In 2018 we passed a constitutional amendment that automatically restores voting rights to felons once they’ve completed probation and all the terms of their sentence. But DeSantis ignored the will of the people and basically blocked it.
@@cthesavage Thank you. I know that Florida is particularly strict on convicted felons and especially sex offenders. The state goes out of their way to harass them and try to "encourage" them to leave the state.
I remember growing up and we were told that all races were equal and should all be held to the same standards.
Yep and then the "social justice warriors" told us that we were wrong and should feel bad for thinking that way.
yeah we are all equal. thats why Somalia is the same as Dennmark lol
Me too dude, me too 😂
@@goyim6866 We are all equal... it doesn't mean governments are
@@goyim6866 I didn't figure out whether you were being racist by implying races don't have the same capabilities, or if you're trying to criticize the current state of the world by attempting to show that some races are still at a disadvantage in comparison to others and therefore not equal, but in either case, your argument isn't the best because it is a strawman.
The comparison between Denmark and Somalia is about geopolitical and historical context, not race. If the races of the two countries were inverted but their histories, resources, and global circumstances stayed the same, there's no evidence to suggest the outcome would be different. Therefore, you can't claim it's race driving the disparity.
I tried explaining to my ex how racist he sounded when he said that some black people can't get ID, and he didn't understand. He honestly believed that. And when I said "okay, if some people can't get ID then we should focus on helping them instead of just removing restrictions for voting" he just couldn't deal with the convo anymore and left. So yes... People REALLY think this way.
What an actual manchild , can't handle losing a convo so he leaves.. I swear its like these people get their opinions from twitter.
hopefully you moved on to conservatives
@@xsh4dw Raised by twitter and other echo chambers they live in, perpetually on the internet. I forgot the name but there's a video here on YT about some guy who is on university campuses calmly urging people (via signs etc) to debate with him about what is a woman and such. And the students just screech at his face and call him toxic, bigoted whateverphobe. Instead of actually reasoning with him through debate, which was the whole point of an university in the first place. Critical thinking and debate.
They dont even debate in universities anymore. Your thesis if it says "black people are oppressed m'kay" is just approved and nobody dares debate anything about it. Thats how these socially informed shit-degrees get approved via universities.
I had a roommate kick me out and left me living in my car because he wanted to help all the immigrants that are living on the steets by letting then stay in our living room and I refused. Some people are legitimately NPC and do whatever biden tells them to.
So sad, these people have ZERO critical thinking skills.
I live in "Liberal California" and I can't vote without showing my ID.
Fun fact: they're considered the educated people.
People need to learn that academia ≠ education. Academia is a culture and the culture right now is liberal idiotic racism.
When you lean into your bias that other people are "less than" that doesn't make you anti-racist, that makes you a racist, period.

Tell me you don't know any black people without telling me you don't know any black people:
All these white people in the video 100% grew up in the county, away from the city, went to a mostly white school, maybe spoke to 1 or 2 black kid's a hand full of time's... They walk around like they have life experience while mommy and daddy help pay for their tuition, Honda Civic, and help them balance a check book because math is hard.
They 100% think of black people as some down trodden stereotype....
Oh well, hurtful truth
They have "black allies"
Not friends
Think about it from their pov, they think "those people" are basically idiotic, uneducated childish morons, who as I quote "don't know what is out there, they are not informed" yet they still want them to vote. Like even from their twisted worldview it's completely insane what they want

We are living in a South Park episode.🥲
That's what I've been thinking for a while because this whole year has been fucking insane😂
Matt and Trey, true visionaries. Sucks that they were so right though
More like a Boondocks episode.
Pretty sure that's a part of why South Park slowed down so much. I remember them saying they struggle to write parody when we're already living in one, or something along those lines.

Is saying facts racist somehow? Giving felons the right to vote anyways is a dumb answer, but other than that, she didn't say anything wrong.
I hope people realize that that statistic is for murder and not just “crime” in general. You can look at it on the FBI’s website for crime stats by race and type of crime. It’s pretty wild and eye opening, but still depressing that over 50% of murder cases is one demographic.

The most racist thing that's ever been said to me (I'm half Mexican) was regarding my opinion on the border wall. When I said I supported it being built/reinforced, one of my classmates said to me "Isn't that self-defeating?"
I don't understand why it's so hard for people to understand that a border wall is perfectly fine so long as there are dedicated points of entry. We have multiple major cities on or near the border for them too. El Paso and San Diego could literally be the New York and San Francisco off the southern border if a proper border wall was built. That would be so much more practical than just letting the wall be totally open and unregulated.
😂😂😂😂 bro caught a stray 😂😂😂😂 if norm Mcdonald said it then it would be funny though
Their mentality is to lump people together so when you say something they perceive to be bad they lump you in too. If a legal immigrant said they wanted more border security and stricter controls even on people from their home country it would shock them. A guy I used to work with a decade ago that had been a legal immigrant from Mexico since the 70's always used to tell me "fuk Obama". He also was a Trump supporter because he felt you had to come the right way and didn't like law breakers.
ok but that's just funny though
You could have retorted, "this country has it's doors busted wide open- isn't that self-defeating?"
The Voting Age needs to be raised to 25. Apparently College kids don't need to vote until they are 30...
