Healing music - Mendelssohn - Hear my prayer

Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847) wrote this cantata "Hör mein bitten" ("Hear my prayer") in 1844, on a text by William Bartholomew. It was first performed in 1845 in London by Ann Mounsey. On this contemporary performance, we hear the beautiful voice of soprano of Béatrice Voellmy, with Jean-Christophe Geiser on organ, and the Ensemble vocal de Lausanne, conducted by Michel Corboz.
