I really like Morfydd's answer about how in Tolkien's world it does feel more like a "hope vs despair" compared to merely "good vs evil" and how she mentioned how Denethor is in the books. Because, personally, I also find hope as a very important aspect in Tolkien's works (and the eventual defeat of evil in those stories). Leon's answer about how the characters probably all see themselves as the heroes is also really interesting. Sauron and Pharazon would've definitely thought that way. Celebrimbor probably thought that when he helped make the rings of power, unaware he was being manipulated. Overall I liked how the cast answered that question.
Also Trystan Gravelle's story of falling from the tree.. lol 😭

Galadriel is the AUNT of Gil-Galad (the elven king) and was a couple of thousand years old when he was born but he looks 20 older than her. Ditto for Celebrimbor (the ring maker) who is the son of her cousin. Maybe being in the forge aged his skin prematurely but he looks to be 30-40 older than Galadriel.
Well I have a friend who was baby sat by her nephew who is like 15-20 years older then her. So for elves I would think this to be relatively normal. I also believe Tolkien had various versions of the lineages of these characters. Celebrimbor I think has at least 3. So I find it to be much more about choosing a theoretical direction for the sake of the show, and keeping with that going forward.

How can you keep true to his lore of the SA when you don't even have the rights to it. This atrocity is not the Silmarillion or the Unfinished Tales. Galadriel was married to Celeborn in the FA. Celeborn and Galadriel had a daughter in the SA. Galadriel WAS NOT a warrior or a commander of armies. Harfoots ARE Hobbits and there is NO mention of Hobbits till the 3A. Durin the 4th was NOT the son of Durin the 3rd and neither of them were ever in the same time line. Galadriel and Tar-Miriel NEVER met. Tar-Miriel was NOT a Queen Regeant. Elendil DID NOT have a daughter he only had two sons. I could keep going, this is not an adaptation of Tolkien at all, because it is WHOLLY DIFFERENT and the CORE is no where to be found.
Who cares man, an adaptation will change something, whether you’d like it or not. If they followed it tee for tee, you’d actually be terrible as a result
When Galadriel said to Elrond “I will no longer be your slave!“ and then killed herself, so stunning and brave. Really overcame me with emotion.

Amazing cinematography when the shooting star show Gandalf exiting his space ship only to later be revealed that in his ship is a device that would transform him into his perfected female self, Gandalfa the Rainbow.
A meteor of unknown origin (which even results in an occasionally talking sword, I think...) is the kind of thing that does exist in Tolkien's world, and the kind of detail which makes it more interesting.

You know what? Tolkien would have changed ideas and Middle Earth dogmas many times, since it seems to me, as auniverse, for him everything was a constant work in progress. But I don't think even as the most senile old man he would have written something so shallow and inaccurte. It lacks coherence to the rules the showrunners themeselves created.

Yes he wrote that down, all the makers had to do is use that, like in the lord of the rings movies..why oh why are you keep explaining that you did use it while the trailers and teasers show otherwise, please actors look at the downvotes and the comments in those trailers and teasers ..
Because I believe they didn’t have the rights, they paid for the brand name. Just like trump branding on a skyscraper. Pretty much just the name and a few plot points. However they could fill in whatever they wanted since it’s then their show. Finally, the second age is very sparsely detailed I hear (I might be wrong).
He didn't write down much about the 2nd Age.

I’m honestly just sad this show was made at this point. My most beloved fictional world being trampled on by politics and massive corporations is so disappointing.
Get help. Just bc you feel something or think something doesn’t make it true. Your inability to rationally process your extreme negative emotions about this incredible production is a sign that the problem is you, not the show and show runners.

These people are workers doing their job, you wouldn't get mad at blizzard's janitor because of how pay to win diablo immortal was. That being said, I certainly find some of them a bit unlikeable, but ultimately, it is the people behind the screen who are pulling the strings.

When Galadriel tells elrond "you have not seen what I have seen" then pulls out the lament configuration & says, "I have such exquisite suffering to show you" solving the puzzle box, summoning the cenobites to mordor. I got literal chills across my toe knuckles.
