If you're buying new from Fractal, they offer a 15 day no questions asked return policy - just because the don't sell in stores where people can try them out. The wife may not leave you for the volume issues but the cost of the unit and power amps and frfs speakers.... there may be a discussion or two. :P
Yes, but a lot of times folks just want to try it out to see if it's something they should plan on buying in the future. Fractal takes your money out of your account at time of purchase, to the best of my knowledge. That's a big chunk of change if your budget is tight and you just want to try it out.
Hi there Doug! Maybe you can do a video on what cables/method you’re using for your monitors, compared to a real cab and power amp? Followed by how would you split the signal using a real cab and power amp while using front of house. Your information has helped me out so much already! Thank you very much.
I have mine connected but get no sound. I have used this in the past and must be forgetting something. It would have been nice had you shown how the cables connect.
Hi! For my voice I’m using the RODE GO 2. For the guitar I am connecting the AXE-FX III to my UAD Apollo interface via SP/DIF digital connection. To my ears it sounds much better than if I were to set up mics in front of my speaker cabinets. And thank you!
It is the Holy Grail of tone. Period! It’s plug and play AND a tone geeks ‘infinite playground’ to tweak and tweak from speakers to tubes to preamps to amps to effects. And every parameter in between. And it sounds pristine, even professional players have a hard time picking out Axe Fx vs real amp comparisons. I could go on and on…
@@DougBsDigitalDen Thanks. I’ll be searching all night for it 🤣🤣 thanks for the vids btw. I just got an fx 3 and have been coming to your channel for all tips!!!
I’m new to rack effects units and processors. I’m wondering if I bought this, am I able to plug it in straight out the box and play through headphones until I decide what monitors/speakers to buy to use in the future?
That's the #1 reason I just bought one. One of the best features is you can hook it to a computer via usb and play backing tracks through it while you play. I used to play through a boogie triaxis and t.c. electronics g-force but this is so much more flexible.
Really warm and friendly approach! Thanks! Love your videos, Doug! Rock on!
Glad you like them!
Metallica are still on the Axe FXII Turbo.
Great video. Answers a lot of questions I had.
Cool, thanks!

Do you have a video talking about the speaker setup? Like which are the best ones to use if you're using the FX-iii and playing a show?
Hi - this video shows the different ways to connect, not sure if it’s quite what you’re looking for: ruclips.net/video/MDjU8Zr6iwc/видео.html
Just loving your videos. So informative and helpful.
Thanks, I really appreciate it!

Hey Christopher - that's an excellent suggestion! I'll add that to the schedule for early September.

The manual has all the cabling info that you need. Thanks for watching!
Hey Doug,I watched one of your videos where you said you got rid of your pedals in favor of the AxeFXIII….Any regrets?…do you miss the pedals?
Hey Scott - no, no regrets at all in getting rid of the pedals. I also brought my last two amps to the local shop for consignment.
Hey. Can I ask what mic setup are you use for these videos? I love the tones you’re getting here.

I just got the new Mark II with Turbo. It's the best in the biz.
Can we talk about his shirt? Haha I love it. Where did you get?? Thanks for the video as well !!!
Thanks for watching! My wife bought that shirt, probably off of Amazon. That's the best info that I've got!

Yes, there is a headphone jack on the front of the unit.
@@DougBsDigitalDen Thank you mate
