Ya your prep work needs to be on point then. I had a guy who would do that but he would finish sand with 400grit. Waterbase you cant do that.. after a day or two all those scratches woukd start to show up. Once that clear starts setting up. On silvers i wont put sealer but i finish sand with 800 or 1000. I get what your sayin. It saves alot of time but like i said, you better make sure your prep work is 100%
Just be aware that primera won’t give you the exact G shade that you’ll need for specific colors, even if your primer color is close to the desired shade, the sealer would give you a better color!
@@craigyboy4770 that exactly I said ?but explain what kind of petrol, petroleum,or whatever you mean maybe PPG has it already for you inside check out your exterior water based wall paint its a gel coat
I've no idea where Craig boy is coming from? But I have only tested it once from blending through to respray. I used Craig & rose which was the closest colour to moondust silver "Ford mondeo" I thinned it out with deionized water. On the blending side it was OK, now when I say OK what I mean is I could see but only one person I asked out of 11 could see it so from a customer view it would almost certainly be a pass and on the respray side it was very good but the drying is well up and is must to tak off between coats as it really does pull in dust so wetting the floor and walls if possible is advisable.
I am so glad i use spies hecker. So mutch easyer to work with, and it takes half the time to paint
Color blender is a wet coat basically t490 if I'm not mistaken. It's a wet bed so your metallic doesn't stand up in certain areas.
Anyone else notice how the car come out of the booth already reassembled.
I tell my helpers to put primer according to the color of the car this way I don’t have to put sealer
