I've spent plenty of time spraying both products, you sure can tell who made the "test" lol. I've never had Envirobase take me longer than 30 minutes to paint a repair like that.
100% agreed. Plus the color matches are so good that you never need to tint your basecoat or do spray outs. In my experience PPG covers great with one very light foundational coat, following by a hammer coat and a drop coat. 5 minutes flash with fans is usually more than enough even in 80%+ humidity
I’ve use ppg envirobase for 14years and never wet bed silvers etc. 2 full and a technique. That job would have been done in 20min . This vid is greatly exaggerated
If you add 492 adjuster to your basecoat you won’t have delamination issues. I reduce my basecoat at 30% and of that 30%, roughly 10% is 492. So maybe 3% of the overall mix in total.
@@709nathan huh alright, that’s odd I’ve always been under the impression 492 does the trick. It stopped it for me. However I’m moving to a cromax EZ shop in two weeks, which is what brings me to this video. Are you thinking of switching to EZ?
