A man’s mental health is only a concern once he snaps.
Yes, No one cares until he go and gets it.
that’s what I never understand, people always love to complain about people become mean, being evil and going insane but never care to heal or check up on their mental health which is the main core of why they crash out☠️society makes no sense
Facts!
Honestly, this is so true. When women around me get stressed out, I try to comfort them and calm them down. When I get stressed out, I get punished for it and treated like I have no right to be stressed
This is so facts its unreal.
The saddest part about this is I didn't even know it was men's mental health one.😢
Me ether but everytime people care for a man they wanna act like it doesn't exist sometimes sadly
This video would be so much funnier if it weren't true (still funny though).
I don't think anyone knew. As a man this is news to me as well.
We’ve got a Mental Health Month??

Mens mental health month was established in 1994.... this is the first time I've heard of it.
Skill issue
You and me both.
For real,,,like ever
Of course, there's dozens of organizations for children and women, but a scant handful for men. Men are viewed as expendable and unnecessary by society, to not be seen or heard, never vulnerable, and never forming connections with one another in a support group through hobbies, work, or being able to relate in their struggles. Men are viewed as troublesome.

It's just a recognition of historically oppressed people dude. Men's mental health matters but maybe you should examine the reasons why larger society doesn't care about it first. Consider what specific cultural thing led to men's mental health not mattering. Eventually, I hope, you can put all the puzzle pieces together to find that out.
Besides, if Men's Mental Health was a different month it'd be ignored still for the same exact reasons.

Men need more attention. Everyone thinks all women are the victims of things like: S/A, domestic abuse/violence, sv!c!d3, ect, but those can happen to men aswell, in fact I think since people think it doesn't matter because they're MEN and they have that tough stereotype, it's becoming more common in only men. We need to get these men some help. Also, not just women would kts over dysmorphia. Seeing those TV stars, those Barbie and Ken ahh people, that can happen to men.
Also dysmorphia can actually be for no really outlining cause. Very least I haven't discovered why mine is and it wasn't the gorgeous people either. I just became very uncomfortable in my own skin one day and don't like looking in the mirror as it doesn't even seem like me 🤷 guess that's a bit of dissociation added into it though
Patriarchy also helps to perpetuate the notion that all men need to never show weakness or emotion, as it's regarded as feminine. The same goes for the notion that men don't get SA'd or that men enjoy SA or r@pe from women. The stereotype that men are sexual beasts that crave any form of sexual activity is horrid and also perpetuated by the patriarchal society that we still live in. To tackle the problem of the dehumanization of men, we must first dismantle these stereotypes so that we can see each other as human beings with human struggles.

No Diddy
Goes in hard like Diddy.
Saddest thing about this video is it isn't even satire. This is basically it. The company I work for, like many, go out of their way to let employees and customers know when it's a day dedicated to women, but whenever it's international men's day, there's absolutely nothing. No signs, mention, etc. A co-worker of mine actually had the balls to ask HR why men's day didn't get any mention at work, and they told him "Men's day is every day. Women are underprivileged and should be acknowledged."
This mindset is all too common, and as other people here have said, the ONLY time a man's mental heath matters is when he finally snaps. Until then we're told to just suck it up, or reminded that "women have it worse". Every time in my life I have EVER been abused, it's been by a woman. When I was raped by a woman, I was asked what I "must have done to provoke her". I had people assume I was gay for "not wanting it" and that I "should consider myself lucky" that a woman wanted to touch me at all. I was told that if I "didn't want it", I would have fought back, completely ignoring the reality that defending myself against a woman would have put me in prison.
My city has multiple resources and shelters dedicated to women, especially dedicated to people fleeing abuse. All of these are fully funded by the federal and provincial governments. We have ONE shelter for men, and it's exclusively for homelessness, and is not for men fleeing abuse. This shelter barely manages to stay open, as it runs on donations only. They've applied for government funding, only to be denied. If you're a man, you're just expected to die on the street.
There have been many times I've considered just becoming trans so that it would be easier for me to get help.
Don't lose hope. Unfortunately this is the way how this corrupted world works.
Stay Strong, we will get over this bulls*/-t era together.
A feeling I completely empathize with and have experienced as well.. smh.
You are so strong! You matter, and your mental health matters! What you went through wasn’t your fault, and men need resources too. If I could, I would apologize on behalf of ALL women, but unfortunately, King, it doesn’t work that way! All I can say is stay strong and not let your past define your future. I hope you realize that sooner than later and take your power back!
Sad to hear about the shit you went through. Nothing on that.
For the rest though, a lot of this shit comes from men too. Men are the ones that push those ideas of masculinity more than women do, whether it be keeping everything in, mocking people for being gay when they do something kind, or the rape comments you described.
There's indeed a massive disparity in the support for the stuff you mention, it sucks. Men have had complete advantage for like all of history, but now there's actual big parts where it's worse. Difficult to fix, since those are based often on empathy. Women and kids are seen as more helpless, so there's less empathy for the grump looking adult man than a cute girl.
Why would men need an international men's day? You do realize that it's not a mens thing right? R_pe victims being gaslighted and blamed has ALWAYS been a thing, and women have been fighting it forever, don't forget that. The ONLY reason why it's become more acceptable for men to actually act like normal human beings is bc women have been fighting the system that didn't allow it, blame patriarchy
Your videos are the help for my mental health month
This video did such a great job at bringing light to this. I, too, didn’t know this existed.
Dude I’m actually so glad people are remembering it’s men’s mental health month. Thanks for spreading the word man, I lost my high school teacher a few years ago from su1c1de (RUclips will delete it if I don’t replace the I’s) and apparently everyone knew he was struggling but nobody cared enough to help, other than a few close friends. Like damn it’s been 5 years and I’ve graduated college at this point, but I still do miss him. Last thing I told him was I’d see him next year and two weeks before school started back up someone texted me the news about him. He was a great man, loving father and a fantastic teacher, and I just wish he’d been offered the resources he needed
Doesn't the men's mental health awareness month also fall towards...mental health awareness month? depression and suicide is not strictly for men after all. Young, old, man or woman.

Women and dogs are valued for simply existing. We men are only valued when we offer something in exchange. Tragic , but once you realize that, you know you have to do. Be cold and ruthless my brothers.
We are Company X. We’re not going to pay you what you’re worth, but we’ll pretend to care about you to virtue signal so we can increase our business revenue!
Tbh, pride as a whole is pretty stupid... Why should we care who you're fucking? Why is that their entire personality?
Companys only care because it makes them look good and in hopes it will make profit, sure the common worker may care but not the ones in charge
True, the evil capitalist strikes again! Anyways HAPPY PRIDE AND MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH MONTH DUDE!!🌈🎉
This is what happens, but the reason why it happens is because so many people are so ignorant that they actually spend more money because of said virtue signaling. So there's the other part of this lesson.
The next lesson after that probably has to do with lack of corporate regulation and how it's basically legal for politicians to be bought and sold which allows companies get away with all kinds of nonsense. Which then allows them to make enough money that they wouldn't otherwise make so that they can afford to be out of touch with what most people really want.

real talk. that brought a tear to my eye
Honestly though the “mental health” part just makes it feel like a trap.
It should be men’s appreciation month.
Appreciation month? Which group has an appreciation month? Usually, these months are about bringing awareness or sharing history. Men's History Month is in November and that's more about uplifting positive male figures in people's communities around the world. I just don't think most people in the US know about it or acknowledge it, including men.
The fact that they have to make a month to remind men and basically say "Hey, y'all need take care of yourselves", should let you know just how low on the list of men's priorities mental health has been from the start.
If this is real, this is news to me.
It’s not necessarily that men don’t prioritize their own mental health it’s when they try to turn to someone about their issues most people don’t really care to listen or help, it’s harder than it should be to find someone to care just a little about a man’s mental health so they usually just keep it within.
Literally every single group that tries to highlight men's issues gets labeled as a radical mysoginist hatemob Tate fanatic or something.
Its impossible to get a conversation going when just bringing up the topic gets you marked as persona non grata. And then people are surprised when there are so many incels - that's what happens when depressed, lonely, aimless young men are not allowed to have a healthy outlet or support network: they either bottle it up and become another emotionally emasculated man just counting days to die, or they go off the deep end and start hurting innocent people, specially women.
@@frankfoster5157 ding ding ding. We always see the mantra of "men, you gotta be willing to speak out about your own issues if you want change. Destigmatize male emotion! See? The patriarchy hurts men too!" but then when men do speak out it's always those same people seething about crocodile tears or male privilege or some bs. That's why you just get away from the drama on the internet if you really want to recalibrate. Some people hate just to hate, no matter what you do.
Your comment is very stupid, now we are guilty that we have a month ha?
Gay people also have a month that mean nobody cares about them?
1:19 lost it when Griffy straight up went to the Alphabet 🤣
It’s been very suspicious that the government and the skittles community had all the other months to choose from but somehow chose the month that not only is focused on Men’s Health but also Father’s Day and Juneteenth. Imagine the backlash they would have got if they choose the month for Mother’s Day or Women’s History Month.
I am 23 years old & i just found out about men's mental health month. This absolutely needs more awareness as someone who's just had a mental breakdown on a Monday. Pretty scary thoughts that would of lead to actions
I'm 19 and I've never heard of it either, and I agree with your statement on it needing more awareness, luckily for me I've yet to have a mental breakdown, but it is still a problem that is widely ignored.
I hate how accurate this is.
Nobody cares about men was the realist thing I've heard all this month. Thank you for saying it out loud Griffy. 👍🏿
What's sad is that it seems like men don't even care about men. Unless men are uplifting one another for relationship or financial inspiration, they're not supporting each other as much as they could. If they did, this month and Men's History Month in November would be better advertised. But, I think that's more of a regional issue than anything because the US was slow to pick up Women's History Month and International Women's Day because that's a Soviet era holiday.

I recently fell into a slump really bad. This skit really relatable and really thankful to know it’s mental health month! Men, it’s ok to walk through your pain, and it’s more ok to be alone walking through it. They don’t understand sometimes. But we ourselves do. Take the time to heal and walk out of your pain. No one might be there for you but you will be there for yourself.
I forget every year but I'm reminded every year as well at least for the last 3 years.
This entire thing of shoving both months at each other is a manufactured conflict.
It not because one get attention and the other is ignored
Griffy is the skit GOAT ! telling the truth while making you laugh.
I didn't know we had a Men's Mental Health Month. But I think it perfectly aligns with Pride Month. A lot of gay men suffer from incredible feelings of self-loathing, lack of self worth and lack of confidence that stems from lack of acceptance by their peers and parents or negative mass media portrayal of LGBT people when they were kids or teenagers. And you also need to understand that this leads to a lot of gay people living their entire puberty - or even adulthood - feeling like they are alone, like they can't talk to anybody about themselves because of fear the other person might leave, reject them or stop loving them. I think this is similar to how all men are taught to "not talk about their feelings". It takes a lot of work for a man to deconstruct their beliefs, accept themselves and start building better mental health habits. I'm very happy we have Pride Month because anyone out there who feels out of place, like an outcast or "not worthy" can finally feel like they belong. And that has a big impact on their mental health.
And this last bit applies to all men. Straight or gay. All men NEED to be able feel like they belong, know their self-worth and work on their mental health.

Maybe that's why none of us knew it was a thing. We'll just be here next year again
There's just a shit ton of things. No one really knows any aside from pride and maybe NNN. Picking june is just very stupid for any other cause, because it's inevitable not going to beat the attention and flare of pride
@@trafalgarlaw8373 yeah but if its on another month then nobody will even know it exists. atleast on pride month people know it exist because of pride being on the same month.
No one remembers Alz Heimers Awhat was I talking about?
I forgot about that
The only time doctors care about mental health is when they see more kickbacks from the corporations telling them to meet their script quota. (I have two sisters that are psychiatrists and admit to this)
we go through the most heinous mental shit only thing we got is either keep it in the car or say I’m fine
Guarantee that this video single handedly has brought more awareness to it lol
I’m glad we’re finally starting to advocate and preach mens mental health, it’s about damn time lmao
That’s good, it really is. Only thing I hope is that this is a thing going forward and isn’t only being talked about because it’s June. Idc what month we’re in, I want to see y’all talk about it.
This barely even mentioned mens health, it was 95% complaining about pride.
"Gay laundry detergent" XD 😂
Subbed for our mental health.
Happy men’s mental health month!!
Every month should be a mental health month.
I don't really want a whole month dedicated to my mental health. It seems unnecessary imo. Being reminded how I am every now and again, even just a little, is better than nobody remembering until the month of June rolls around. I read the comments, and it seems like most people were unaware of a men's mental health month. It doesn't need to be dedicated to a single month for profit (which companies don't even do anyway), when all it takes is a quick check-up on your loved ones every few days. I apologise if this comes across as selfish, but I'm not any more special than I was a couple of days ago just because the month changed. A quick check-up is much nicer than a huge parade for one month, which everyone will forget about later.
Yeah ok so we should just have mental health year. Do you know how stupid that is? So christmas should be all year?? "Oh yeah next year is christmas year" like dude thats the msot obvious observation EVER. but you say it anyway when u know that will never happen loll
I am glad you are talking about Men's Mental Health Month, LongBeachGriffy.
He mentioned it then complained about pride
Dude, this is spot on.
I found out about Men's Mental Health Awareness Month last year. This year, I've made an effort to check on my boyfriend's health this month and my older brother. Letting them know if they need to vent or be heard I'm hear for it.
“Or it doesn’t make us monneeyy, *pause* and it’s gay… then it’s irrelevant” 💀
depressingly on point as always, griffy.
I think ever day should take mental health into a consideration. Its not like we have a date for hygiene appreciation or for recognizing people with a sprained ankle. Health is heath period. It should be a daily recognition like taking a shower. Not one month out of the year
I make time for my mental health every day. Not one month out of the year
"would've exploited it for profit, years ago" 😂😂😂
0:57 so much truth spoken here
This absolutely perfect🙏👌
lmao i love your boss acting
I see women on Twitter talking about men's mental health all the time, but the ironic thing is that the worst things for my mental health have been mostly women.
It's all virtue signalling, they can say mens mental health is so important but when a guy actually tries talking to them they will be annoyed, thank god I know some girls who actually care, they're angels istg
@@ZomboidMania there's bad and good people with nothing to do with your gender. Y'all really gotta stop man. Not all women are evil, not all men are evil. make a action plan, to reduce your encounters with the bad ones, weed them out before they get to you.
They just say it to say it. None of them actually mean shit unless they have sons. This year the month has been getting a lot of attention but even then the comments are getting raided by the lgbtq people and feminists saying it's both and that we should support both as if we didn't already know that, further gaslighting and taking attention away from the month.
@@Nabee_H how is saying "both" taking attention away from men's mental health month? Do you have that same energy when men comment on women's issues with su1c1d3 statistics? Half this comment section is aggressively against pride and the LGBT community all together so who the hell is HERE celebrating it? Why have such a victim complex and then blame others for their victim complex? How's that gonna solve our men's issues bro?
Spicy ass take, but history does offer validity to the sentiment when you factor in the wars and other shit that has happened simply over a man's obsession with a woman. Not to place blame on the woman though and not to say all women don't give af because it's many, many women who actually do give af. But sadly not enough women really recognize when a men is in mental distress. It doesn't show the same way that they're used to seeing. A man could be perfectly functioning, but in the worst mental state of his entire life. It's not necessarily the same for women, it's a bit more obvious they show it(not necessarily on purpose). To actually see it means it's too late and that's why it's important to know and recognize the signs. Alot of times women think we don't give af about shit when it's the opposite. Then they're so used to us being cool or closed off, when we do release they can't handle it so it fucks em up. We both have to do better at the end of the day and recognizing the other sex
