Another good test is to do a domain owner search. I found the scam sites say they have been around 15 years, but the domain was just purchased 3 months ago (or some short term) another is the lack of any social media site as it’s harder to fake followers and a long history of communication with customers.
Here's another red flag: the photos show puppies that seem to be from different litters (coloring, face and body shape). Also, apparently all of these 11 week old puppies are housebroken. Seems a bit young for that.
Thank god my breeder is also a family member. He was too lazy to register his breeding dogs with the breeding club, so I won’t have papers. She’s going to be a lap dog anyway, so papers aren’t important. The $200.00 price tag didn’t break the bank, either.
I enjoyed your video, very helpful. I have a question, there’s Facebook groups that sell Boston Terriers. They do like the same thing but instead, it happens through chats. Earlier today I was chatting with some breeder, wanting to buy a Boston. I thought they was legit and asked if I can FaceTime them to see if the pup is real. Then they saw my text and never answered back. I really want a Boston Terrier so badly. Please help on what to avoid on selling of animals on all Social Medias, especially Facebook. Thank you so much!!!!
Great video! Question though: these tips seem to only be for buying a puppy and having it shipped to you, right? Are there any scams to worry about if the breeder is local and you're able to go see the puppy? I think the only issue would be the whole "puppy mill" thing, which I have no idea how to watch out for (or if that's really a concern.) Great content on your channel though! I'm looking at a red puppy this weekend and I think I'm totally sold on the Boston Terrier breed in general. Seems to tick all the boxes for what we're looking for! Thanks!
Hello i love your videos they help me to know about my dog. I would love to see a video of “how to learn how to go outside for the first time” i have a Boston puppy and she Starts to go outside Thievy weekend sorry for my english im from Colombia 🇨🇴
Whenever my Boston went to the bathroom outside I would reinforce the good behavior through treats or good loving. He rarely ever messes in the house and I don't even scald him because he knows the deal and he couldnt hold it any longer and I understand that
IMO, any website devoted specifically to selling puppies is either a scam or a puppy mill. A reputable breeder isn't in the business of churning out puppies to sell for profit, they're breeding in a careful and controlled manner for the betterment of the breed. Plenty of breeders DO have websites, and may have an available puppies page, but the focus of the website is NOT selling massive amounts of puppies. If the site has puppies available year-round, I wouldn't trust it or the breeder associated with it.
First Choice Boston Terrier This outfit is a scam. They got me. I wish I who to report them to. Also, Dynamic Shipping is also a scam outfit. Just thought I'd try to get the word out.
I just went to the petshop because all these sites wanted a deposit before even meeting. 🙄 Cost me 2k at the store. Got him in my arms in less than 5 minutes.
I wouldn't buy a puppy online at all. I want to see the environment where the pu Ippy is living as well as the parents of the pup. I also wouldn't buy one from a pet store. Might be a scam or might be from a puppy mill.
So I have a grey boston, and it's considered blue on the CKC (I know, not the AKC) and you said there's no blue standard. What do you call the grey color?
Yes, I’m not familiar with CKC. In the video I was just referencing a member of the BTCA would not call them a blue Boston Terrier. As for Grey Boston’s I’m not sure but my guess would be a seal.
The website adorable boston terrier puppies has had the same puppies listed for 4 months and they haven't aged a day! I even texted the number awhile ago when I found the website and they responded and sent me more pictures of the dog I asked about. Totally a scam though.
bro you have taken over the market for this dog on youtube.. every time i click a video its you.. yet some how i got more subs. you must be some what new, im sure you will pass me soon
Hello all! My Blue Boston is 2 year old and will start licking my hand and work up my arm to my neck. She is so happy to see me and have me home that she must express her excitement and love. She is our 4th Boston and love all of them over the years.
I think so, unless the dog is show quality. I was looking at a dog at this price point, but can’t swing it. Plus, I just want a happy puppy and not necessarily a show dog.
Thank you for this video. You get what you pay for, to be sure. Very low prices are a definite red flag that I have seen more than once.
low price is not always bad.
Thanks Donny. Your working so hard to protect us
You're welcome. Thanks
I definitely got scammed a few weeks ago but my girlfriend got me a boston as a surprise after. I recommend watching these videos for sure!
Sorry to hear about that.

Thanks for the tip
Was looking into websites aswell. Glad i took the 4 hour drive to PA instead.
AKC boston terriers price at about $800 here in Oklahoma so that is not always a scam. Some really good pups come from a rep breeder I know here.

but is it to further the breed or to make $$?

Well it is normal for breeders and such to want a deposit, but I get your frustration
Cherry's Boston Terriers is also a scam...went through such lengths to convince me of their legitimacy.

Don’t judge

The girl I’m getting is a grey and white Boston. I assumed that is what they call seal, but am not totally sure.

Thanks for sharing!!
Out of curiosity has anyone heard if new dawn boston terriers?
We came across several scams while searching. Glad we didn't send $$.
Yeah, it is crazy how prevalent they are
Can you tell me if LuisCarlosHome is a reputable Boston Terrier breeder?
Donnie, big credit...Bella does NOT look 11 years old.
😊
I spent 5k at petland for my pure bread Boston puppy with paperwork on her. And she came with a lot of goodies and also covid shot up the price.
Flying and a brachio pup are not a good combination any way.
👍
what is the average price for a boston terrier?
I would say around $1,200
@@BostonTerrierSociety thanks so much for replaying, i'll keep that in mind
Also find reputable breeders on AKC Marketplace
Yes

I got my Boston as a rescue for $50
Hello all! My Blue Boston is 2 year old and will start licking my hand and work up my arm to my neck. She is so happy to see me and have me home that she must express her excitement and love. She is our 4th Boston and love all of them over the years.
They are such great dogs!
I got my boston terrier at 400$ it was not a scam
Yeah, when we got Bella 10 years ago she was $350
Hillcrest boston terriers is a scam
Is $5000.00 too much?
It seems like too much.
Definitely
