  • This video walks you through the process of installing a Koyo Racing Radiator on our 9th Gen Civic Project Car. It is a great performance upgrade that sets a high standard in overall quality/finish, but for more detailed information on this Koyo High Performance Radiator and/or to purchase one, check out our product page here: www.procivic.com/p/m/civic/ko... description
    Koyo's direct replacement high performance radiator for the 2012 through 2015 Civics features a high density 25mm core (Hyper K Core), and will provide increased cooling capacity for any build. Especially important for forced induction set-ups or even track driven naturally aspirated builds, this radiator will help keep engine coolant temperatures down while being a simple bolt-on item.
    Key Features of the Koyo Racing Radiator:
    * Koyo 25mm Hyper K Core with high efficiency louvered fins.
    * Individually pressure three times, at operating pressure.
    * CNC Machined Aluminum filler neck and drain plug.
    * Brushed Aluminum Finish.
    * Plug and Play installation using OEM fan shroud and overflow tank.
    * Accepts OEM Hoses and Temperature Sensor.
    * Aluminum core is manufactured with Nocolock Brazing for a strong, durable, and anti-corrosive bond.
    Fits:
    9th Gen Honda Civics
    2015 Honda Civic
    2014 Honda Civic
    2013 Honda Civic
    2012 Honda Civic
    (Other Generation Civic and Vehicle Applications available as well)
    Coolant Refill Notes: Honda recommends simply topping off the cooling system with sufficient fluid, until the coolant level is up to the filler neck. From our experience, we have preferred to do the same but also have the front end lifted to get all air bubbles to escape via the filler neck, while lightly squeezing the upper radiator hose to expedite the process. Once you have done this, reinstall the radiator cap and turn the car on while making sure there are no leaks and the system is adequately pressurized.

    For the extra hole that Koyo includes for either an additional sensor or to bleed the system does it come with a screw to close up that hole if you don’t have a sensor you want to add

    • @procivic
      @procivic  5 лет назад +1

      The hole is plugged from the factory.

    i know this is a random video to post this question on but could you guys possibly make a video on how to maybe add some new gauges to the 9th gen civic? i have a 2012 civic si and as you probably know it does not have a oil temp gauge or nothing like that... i always thought it would be cool to add some to the car but not quite sure how to do it... seems like it would be a nice video to add to your installation guide videos for the 9th gen civic!!!

    • @procivic
      @procivic  6 лет назад

      I'll pass this along to our video team. If you look through some of our past videos, you might find bit and pieces of what you're looking for in terms of gauge installation.

      @fuzzy455 6 лет назад

      Yeah! i mean there are tones of videos out there showing how to do it for my car i was just thinking would be a cool video to add to the 9th gen series you guys got! i mean who doesn't love cool looking gauges in a car! lol :)

    Don't forget that KOYORAD Cap does not come with the radiator you have to order separately. Not sure if its a money grab or what but kind of weird its not included.

    Hello and thank you for a wonderful video. Do your guys think that Koyo radiator can install to a 9gen Civic sedan Ex with an auto tran? Thank you.

    • @procivic
      @procivic  6 лет назад +1

      +BBQ Bacon It is possible, but you will need to make some modifications. The Koyo Radiators do not have a spot for the transmission oil cooler lines. You would have to use an external cooler for the transmission to make this work.

      PRO Car Studio Thank you, and could your guys give me some suggestions about which external cooler I should buy for the Cvt tran?

    I am looking for a 2012 civic ex 1.8l automatic trans upgraded radiator. If you website has one.

    • @procivic
      @procivic  5 лет назад

      Unfortunately, we do not have one that will fit automatic models directly. They are mainly intended for manual transmission models.

  • @taktsoi9548
    @taktsoi9548 6 лет назад +1

    why does it say manual transmission only for this radiator upgrade? can't the AT trans be benefited? thanks

    • @procivic
      @procivic  6 лет назад

      +Tak Tsoi The automatics have cooler lines going from the transmission to the stock radiator. To keep things as cool as possible, these lines are not present on this radiator. To use this on a automatic, you would need an external oil cooler.

    • @danhenderson783
      @danhenderson783 5 лет назад

      Tak Tsoi It can be used with a CVT transmission and the automatic. The radiators are the same as the MT.
      The cooler lines go from the cylinder head to the transmission and do not go to the radiator.

    HELLO, GREETINGS FROM Türkiye. I HAVE A HONDA CIVIC CAR. I NEED TO CHANGE 1.6 ENGINE 125 BG MANUEL VİTES RADIATOR. WHICH PRODUCT SHOULD I CHOOSE? DO YOU SEND IT TO TURKEY?

    Where's the test results for this product? Before and after? Noticeable? Better efficiency?

    • @procivic
      @procivic  6 лет назад +2

      +Jesse Christensen Due to the cold weather, it's hard to get conclusive results. However, we have seen more stable temps after the install. In mid to high 60's (F) ambient, the coolant temp before the radiator was around 215-220 F. After installed temps hovered at around 205 F. Once ambient temps get higher, we should see better results.

    Nice video :) do you know if this radiator fits with the Kraftwerks supercharger, also on the 9th gen? I Purchased one already -.- but now that I saw the difference in thickness from stock to koyo, kinda doubt it’ll fit now. Since some hoses from the Kraftwerks kit are already hitting the fan outer parts 🤔

    • @procivic
      @procivic  6 лет назад

      Hi, I believe it should work..it is only about 7mm thicker than the factory radiator. You should be able to adjust the hoses to accommodate that extra thickness, but ultimately you have to make the call since you will be making the adjustments.

    • @procivic
      @procivic  6 лет назад +1

      +Weaponx9x If the manifold does not go past the radiator support, it will more than likely work. However, we have not tested this and cannot guarantee it.
