First of all the point of a dishwasher is to wash the dishes. There's absolutely no need to pre-wash. Secondly I have been a single parent for 22 years and sometimes you give up the idea of washing a separate load of whites and a separate load of colors. If the washer is full it gets washed. Like you said wash on cold it's all good. Third bless your power washing but that seems like a lot of wasted water... Got to save the environment there in California.
The power washing, the reorganization of garage (that he dont use,because he has a yard) I'm always happy po y with the mowing tho, I'm not complaining on that. The dishes too! And his watching the girls 🥰 dudes are awesome

For doing the simplest house work. Like wow kiddo good job cleaning your room, have a soda. Or 'deals' like I'll give you 2 dollars of you wash the car. So boys learn to expect something back from chores even in adult life. Completely unbased guesswork (and generalization) but there might be something there.
