      ***** you would be believing wrong. If you go back in the lore, including the books, Kerrigan took on Raynor+Tassadar+Zera'tul in a 3v1 shortly after becoming the Queen of Blades before she could fully control her powers and the three of them where only saved by a Protoss armada arriving at just the right moment to save them.
      Kerrigan also bested Rashagal on her own, the original matriarch of the Dark Templar that Zera'tul followed. She not only beat her but manipulated her to the point Zera'tul had to kill her because he couldn't free her. The real Queen of blades, not the abomination in SC2, really didn't have an equal in terms of the characters and forces she faced. She beat the UED+Dominion+Dark Templar+Artanis group of protoss via a variety of means from manipulation to flat out over powering them. The only person with a chance of besting her from SC1 was Duran and his hybrid and had blizzard really followed through with that like they should of instead of the insulting stories we got here SC2 would of been a far better game and the lore would of made much more sense.

    • @Kingofredeyes
      @Kingofredeyes 10 лет назад

      Just because Blizzard wanted to make a pretty cinematic and make Zeratul look like he might have a sliver of a chance doesn't void everything established in lore up to this point. Zeratul is a bug compared to Kerrigan, especially in her zerg form.

    • @Kingofredeyes
      @Kingofredeyes 10 лет назад

      I'm not the one who is delusional. I'm the one with over a decade of established lore between games and books that validate my side, you are the one saying "see pretty cinematic moment makes me right."

    You know, watching the scenes with the Queen of Blades now makes me realize just have badly Kerrigan was corrupted by Amon. I kind of scoffed at this when they mentioned it in HotS, but she's obviously on board with the destruction of the universe in this scene.

  • @diegoap11

    Hots really stepped it up regarding cinematics...opening cinematic of the invasion and the kerrigan vs Narud fight one are just amazing

    • @physxme
      @physxme Год назад

      Yes and no. They kind of "improved" by changing most in-game cutscenes (like raynor fighting tychus in the bar, raynor meeting valerian...) to pre-rendered ones. But those aren't on par with those "big budget" pre-rendered cutscenes in terms of model complexity and lighting quality. And they've reduced the number of "big budget" pre-rendered cutscenes as well.
      You get 4 in WoL: 1.opening where tychus gets put in a suit. 2.This one 3. raynor's nightmare about kerrigan's betrayal. 4.ending where raynor kills tychus
      in HotS and LotV you get only 2 for each: the opening and the ending. All others are basically slightly improved in game quality.
      Just compare the hair if it's hard to see the difference.

    @IplayBASS4theKIDZ If you look again at the cinematic, when Zeratul is pushing through Kerrigan's psionic wave, when he wants to cut her down, Kerrigan is pushing him back with both of her feet which means she was standing on the wings! And that's one purpose!

    StarCraft II Creative Development Q&A - Part 2
    Basically, mutas produce a gas that pushes against their own mass as it’s excreted. Even in a vacuum, this causes propulsion, because the gas is pushing against the muta as it’s expelled. Maneuvering is difficult for a muta, but it can release the gas in a range of directions.
    And if anyone's wondering why they flap their wings in space? Instinct. Just like a dog pumping its hind leg when you scratch its belly.
    There you go the truth.

  • @goldsmith000
    @goldsmith000 13 лет назад

    @ShadedMaxe They carry out something like photosynthesis, actually.
    Quote from the SC wiki:
    "Protoss derive sustenance from light, capable of living off of moonlight (reflected sunlight), and can go without light for extended periods of time. What little water they need is absorbed through the skin. The Dark Templar modified themselves biologically and used other techniques to survive on the formerly lightless world of Shakuras."

    The Zerg Overmind called forth spacefaring creatures that were like Elephants in their migration and grazing which became the Overlords. Because the Overlords were capable of spacefaring, its presumed that they either feed on light or have to stop on planets from time to time.
    As for the space faring, they must have the ability to move through the vacuum of space as if it were wind currents or the flapping of bat wings.
    It might be possible to move through space without propulsion of fuel :)

  • @nattacka

    Mutalisks are evolved from the mantis screamer from the desolate Dinares Sector. The mutalisk has retained its predecessor's ability to travel through both air and space, although what other forms of propulsion it may have aside from its[1] leathery[2] wings were unknown.[1][3] Recently it was revealed that mutalisks excrete a gas which they can use to propel themselves in space; flapping their wings when there is no atmosphere does nothing of use and is a leftover instinct.[4]

    There are particles, but not enough density for any true effect of being "air" or having "pressure," you are quite correct.
    However, it may have to do with;
    1. Comfort; What human can remain still for forever?
    2. Communication; Space is void of air, and so this is a form of communication not reliant upon psi or dark energy/psi.
    3. Intimidation; Flapping seems more violent.
    4. Radar, antennae, or physical; searching for cloaked Wraiths, shields, or other items.
    5. Potential warmth.
    Who knows...

    @sonofthesunwell2012 the Xel'naga are the zerg and protoss before they split into two seperate species in order to perpetuate genetic diversity, hence why the zerg/protoss hybrids are so powerful, its the recreation of the master race. The Terran are the wild cards, and thats why their role is always key in keeping said race mergence from occuring; the basis of the Star Craft 2 chapter in the saga...

    Well that all depends on which storyline you are following: Ridley Scott's (O'Bannon and Shusett) or Paul Anderson's. Since Scott was the proprietor of Aliens I'll consider his version to be the accurate one which includes most recent addition, Prometheus, to the story. According to that, the aptly named "Engineers" created or at least manipulated the alien creatures for the purpose Bio-weapons. Maybe they sold some of their tech to the Predators.

    In case you never played Starcraft 2 or never bothered to read the lore or even see the order of events, this cutscene is before Zeratul finds out that Kerrigan is the key to defeating the Dark Voice (Amon). That is why he is still fighting Kerrigan. The fantasy is pretty much already in place as soon as the Dark Voice, Duran and the hybrids were introduced. The primals are quite interesting though out of place
