    Coming from Illinois I must say that these gentlemen have it the best. No rust, I know it’s brand new but in and within 100 miles of Chicago I’d would be all messed up and dented, starting to rust, scratched, and falling apart.

    I would like to submit to the author of this video that when using this kit on an F350 you will need a coil compressor kit! You can rent these at several auto parts stores for merely a deposit, which is fully refunded upon returning the kit undamaged. We just installed this kit on my son's F350 and found that the coils were about 1 1/2" too long. Using the compressor solved the minor problem. All other aspects in the video are spot on!

    Nice video, but......a couple of things. Make a mention to remove the clip from the radius arm (driver side) that mounts the axle vent tube, also, the nut on the track bar bolt needs to be torqued to 406 lb. ft., and DO NOT torque the bolt end it will twist giving a false torque value, torque the nut, and lastly, once on the ground, loosen the nuts on the radius arm pivots (to release preload from the lift) then torque them to factory specs.

    • @moostang09
      @moostang09  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the notes Jim. Quick question, in the Readylift instructions it says that bolt/nut on the track bar is torqued to 250lb ft... Where are you seeing the 406?

      Completely different suspension setup. On a solid front axle, the axle is the jacking point. On SLA independent suspension like F150's used since 97, the lower control arm or frame are the jacking points.

    • @factionfx
      @factionfx 2 года назад

      @@kylesonsalla7620 Correct....the axle is the jacking point, not the differential. I was referring directly to not jacking against the diff. I'm sure the axle tube is reinforced near the spring perches to support the weight correctly.

      @kylesonsalla7620 2 года назад +1

      @@factionfx
      The diff is literally the strongest part of a solid front axle. The tube will bend before a D60 center section gets damaged. There's no "reinforcement, just diff in the middle, tubes pressed and welded in, then the inner C pressed and welded to the tube. On leaf sprung trucks from 85-04 the drivers leaf perch is the actual differential.

    I just got a 2019 F-350 and am going to install the Readylift 2.5 level kit in a month or two with the Billstein shocks and new coil springs on front instead of the shock extensions and spacers.
