The morimoto is the best my opinion. The only thing is after five years. If you have a problem, then you gotta replace the whole dag gum light or the others You just need to replace the bulb maybe but you can use an LED bulb in those others to give the full LED look you want , but they are my opinion the best one out there.
It actually looks like the Recon light might be better than the Mori given the beam pattern. Recon sides seem more lit up, as well as a bit futher out too. However, the Morimoto looks brighter in the areas it has lit. Trade offs, but the Recon looks like it will blind the hell out of everyone.
You can, but it won't be DOT street legal which is why it wasn't mentioned in this video. Regardless brighter with LED bulbs doesnt always mean better, they need to be capable of replicating a good beam pattern too.
brightness is one thing, the regualtions set a minimum and a maximum so i expect some inconsistency. BUT from the birds eye view you can see how the beam patterns could vary and thats the scary part. with some of these you cant see. with other lights, they cant see you coming. others blind oncoming traffic. with some you can see even a coin right in front of the truck. others only started the beam a couple meters ahead of the truck. it shows that either some dont meet regulations/standards, or the regulation is so vague and undefined that manufacturers can just produce whatever they feel like. thats not good. it should be more standard.
As a truck driver, fords and jeeps are the absolute worst to drive by. Weather thats due to scatter or alignment, or not being installed correctly i dont know. But if you drive a ford, please for the love of god, make sure you have the right bulbs for your headlamps and that they are adjusted properly.
Man, I wish I had this many choices for headlight replacements for my car , but with a car brand that’s now gone (Saab), finding replacements is basically just overpriced original Halogen or Xenon/Bi-Xenon housings :(
@@HeadlightRevolution On both my Saab OG 9-5s yes, one is a 2002 Aero that has Halogen bulbs in both low and highbeams as stock, the other is a 2009 with Bi-Xenon, but currently using a LED-replacement for HID-D1S socket, and a aftermarket HID-kit for the additional High-beam bulb (that bulb is normally Halogen). Always looking for a way to improve them further, but I do have a Halogen LED-kit for the High beams as well, just haven't gotten around installing them.
The crew over at The Retrofit Source have some great videos when it comes to retrofitting. You can get a massive upgrade by swapping your OEM projectors to an aftermarket one - depending on your preference, you can go bi-xenon or bi-LED. Bi-xenon, you'll want to look into the MD2S.. for bi-LED, the MLED is the king 👑 Definitely worth looking into if your platform doesn't have a ton of high-quality aftermarket headlights ready to swap in!
Heck yeah, does your motorcycle use 7 inch rounds? I know a lot of Harley’s use them. We made a 7 inch round shootout that went in depth on each of these.
Why would anyone continue making halogen/xenon lights when with proper engineering, LEDs are superior in every way? Halogen/xenon lights are barely a step above hanging Coleman lanterns from your grille. Mixing Morimoto lights in with the rest of that junk is sacrilege.
