Great video. Exactly what I was looking for. Im installing the same style kit diff brand but exact same placement of it at bottom of shock rather than top.
Why didn't you install a longer track bar or the Rough Country track bar drop bracket? Without installing a longer track bar or drop bracket the axle is not centered under the truck. The driver side tire is now 3/4" inch or more farther out than the passenger side. Rough Country sells a 2" leveling kit with those same aluminum blocks you used plus a track bar drop bracket for $70 more than just the blocks alone. It seems stupid to skimp on $70 when applying it to a $50,000+ truck. You should also mention that the front end has to be re-aligned as part of the installation. Nice clear video of the install. Thank you.
I have the same tire/wheel setup on my f350. Those tires are about 32.2". If it had the 20" option, which it doesn't, you're right they're just over 34". You can fit 35x12.5 tires with no level but these trucks need a level to look right!
Thanks for the clarity on how the spacers fit. I see many offer a round puck and others offer the ones like this with a support for the factory spring seat. I just want to level the truck and now more. I do not like the amount of work required to adjust the speedo. Back when I was at Ford we could change the programming with a Star Tester. I hope they still can; though I know the star tester is not in the picture any more. How much down travel is left in the shock now? I think all these videos should be done in a drive way or home garage with a floor jack and stands. LOL the access to a lift for me is long gone. Fingers crossed for one day though.
This is how people end up with F250 death wobble. Not using proper torque specs on the suspension nuts and bolts. This is also how my trailer dealer almost killed me. Not using a proper torque wrench set to 250lbs on my WDH. This is also why I do all my own work. Because I realize things are supposed to be tightened properly or people can die. Not only myself, but all those driving around me.
So, you dont need to put a bigger shock up front? Saw another video, they put spacers under the sway bar where it mounts to the chassis, nothing on this kit?
What is the clearance like. Just ordered some 22's and 35x12.50's. Trying to decide wether to do like a 4 inch lift or wether to do the leveling kit. Long story short do you think it would easily clear 22's?

What they do not tell you is that the $60.00 2"leveling kit will cost you $635.00. This is what I found out after I installed the Rough Country 2" leveling kit, I had to buy a $450.00 adjustable track bar because the spacer offset the front tires 1.5" to the left so to get the front end back in track with the rear it cost $450.00 or wear out the front tires. Then comes the front end alignment $125.00. Now with this all said and done, add $60.00 plus $450.00 plus $125.00 = $635.00 to raise up 2" at a cost of $317.50 per inch. Is it worth it that is up to you I would not do it again.
Any squeaks in the dash after install? If I chose to not install the new program the pro would be not dealing with the install and possible squeaks, the con my speedometer is off by x percent. How important is that? I think I can deal with the speedometer being off a little.
The rims and tires are the big cost, depending on what rims, and what tires, prices are all over. The actual install for the leveling kit is a small portion of this job. 500 bucks ish. Some opt for inexpensive tires but end up buying another set because they are unhappy with wear or ride quality. Give us a shout and we can go over options! Or visit us at www.caseysautomotive.com/custom-builds-upgrades/
Nice job done !!! Have one question so if I put just the 2 inch spacer under spring no other parts needed to install? Just take the truck to get it realignment done and that’s it ??? No other things to install??
The better fix is to have Ford use the factory computer and set tire size to the max stock (295/65R20) which measures 34.10. These Toys and most 35's measure out at 34.5. Not much bigger, the level kit only allows wider wheels and tires. I would skip the whole Hypertec thing. My Ford dealership reprogrammed my factory tire size when I bumped from 275/65/18 to 35x12.50 20 on my 2017 XLT.

Do you need to reprogram the VSC on the Ford after leveling? I know I had to bring my Tundra Crewmax Platinum back to the dealer to do that. Apparently run like crap until the VSC is reset. Or does that not apply to the Ford Super Duty?
I am sure its because the customer still wants to be able to use this truck to pull trailers, slide in camper, or whatever. Leveling kits are not even close to the price of a full suspension lift. $150-$250 compared to $2500-$5000. Note as well, leveling kits do not affect the ride quality or the safety features and are still covered under the manufactures warranty - when a full suspension lift is used most of the manufactures will deny any warranty claims based on the modifications made. Just food for thought.
Agreed. I have the longest drop shank I could find for my weight distribution hitch and it's almost at the lowest point. I don't know how you could use a WHD or hitch up to a 5th wheel camper if you installed a suspension lift kit.
The rear of these trucks is higher than the front from the factory. This is to compensate for a big load in the bed. To some they just want to have a level look. Ever heard of Cali Style? It's the opposite effect, lower in the rear than the front. Thats something I cannot wrap my head around. To each there own..

I’ve been shopping for F250. You’re a long way from Texas.
Did you have to add a track bar bracket to center it?
Nope. Did realign the suspension it only knocks the toe out slightly so it's an easy adjustment!
Did you loosen both sides before lifting to take out the spring? I only have one side loose
Can you please tell me specs of tire with offsets. The rim is 20x9.
Thanks
After the 2in. lift. Should I raise the height of the shock or stay with the stock?
Blakacedevil the shocks are stock on this leveling kit.
Raise bro
