Ennio Morricone should have been at least nominated for the Oscar for this, but the Academy's unfair treatment of his work continued right up until his last nomination and finally, win, for his score for The Hateful 8. He should have won for The Untouchables, but that year was a ridiculously stacked deck.

The lady who sang "wah wah", her name is tuva semmingson, a classically trained singer in her own right, she sings everything from opera to standards to pop. A diva of the 1st class. If you look closely, for this concert she was wearing little six shooter earrings. PERFECT!!!
I watched an interview with the two vocalists.Tuva Semmingsen AKA the Wa Wa Lady, as she has been called by the tube, actually likes being called the Wa Wa Lady. She couldn't believe how this performance took off on the tube. Christine Nonbo Andersen is the solo vocalist in the audience. This was her first performance with the Danish National Orchestra. Both ladies nailed their performances and added a stunning element to this Ennio Morricone masterpiece.
Ennio Morricone was a composer of film soundtracks, where he used instruments and objects that are not normally used in an orchestral ensemble. Electric guitars, basses, ocarinas, bongos ... but also whips, gunshots, gusts of wind. Entering Morricone's work is a complete immersion.
A moving tribute for fidelity down to the smallest details is what the Spaghetti Werstern Orchestra did to him.

This is the most balanced orchestra you will ever hear. One can pick out each individual instrument section at any time, and none overpower any of the others. Ennio Morricone wrote this masterful piece, but the DNSO brought it to a larger than life performance.

At the end it is all about Morricone and Edda Dell'Orso.
      Note:

"Gabriel's Oboe" was performed at my father's funeral, and "Cinema Paradiso" was a soundtrack during more romantic evenings. Love to hear more Morricone and music from this exuberant Danish Orchestra. Great reaction and show!

Ennio Morriconi was a genius, every spaghetti western had his stamp on it, 😏 his music has haunting and beautiful qualities, he did so much more. Ennio Morricone OMRI[1] (Italian: [ˈɛnnjo morriˈkoːne]; 10 November 1928 - 6 July 2020) was an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor, and trumpeter who wrote music in a wide range of styles. With more than 400 scores for cinema and television, as well as more than 100 classical works, Morricone is widely considered one of the most prolific and greatest film composers of all time.[2][3] His filmography includes more than 70 award-winning films....👍

This out in the open plains.
The 'wah wah and cry' is the cry at the moon of the coyotes
The 'yoh!yoh ! echo"' is the echo off the hills and canyon walls.
The sticks "crack" is thunder crack of prairie lightning storms, which can be very violent. Also the crack of a horse whip.
The woman high note singing is the scream of the prairie wind.
The beat of the music is the tempo of the horse and rider at a light gallope.
The drums are the native American representation.

You can have a five hundred member orchestra for recreating a musical number such as this but, throw in human vocals such as the talents of both these women in this video and it sends the entire musical performance into a higher level that brings tears to the eye and chills to the bone that can shake me to the core of existence.

I got chills watching your reaction.
I sang choir in high school but straight up hate listening to opera. A friend of mine asked if I’d ever seen an opera, and admitted she hadn’t either, so I found us a night and it was a date.
Live and in person, the power, subtlety, and ability to emote that those singers demonstrated from the stage was mind blowing. When you understand that there is no amplification, it’s even more impressive.
There is nothing like an orchestra live, but to have those voices cutting through on top of it. It’s another level.

It requires talent, hard work, and years of training and study to write something like this. It requires none of these to sample it.

You're 1st comment made me laugh 😂. When you said you won't put on a suit for it lol. I'm planning on a trip to Europe with my German ex to see them. I'm hiring a Tux for me and beautiful dress for Claudia. This is my favourite orchestra in the world. It has to be done properly

You may well be the odd ones out! (unless you're playing in the orchestra...). But hell, it's nice to make a special effort every now and then 😊

love the idea, but you will probably be the only one in a tuxedo 😊Some years ago there was a shortage of spectators for theatre, concerts, ballet and operas, so Danish cultural institutions have campaigned for people to just come in normal clothes, unless it is a gala performance.

Excellent reaction. Since you like the Danish Symphony Orchestra, check out a portion of this orchestra playing with "Procal Harum" performing their hit song "A Whiter Shade of Pale" outdoors at an event in Europe. Many people have viewed it. Another outstanding performance.
Take care and enjoy the ride on your journey through great music.😊

This movie was the third spaghetti western with the 'man with no name ' (Clint Eastwood). "A Fistful of Dollars" and "A Few Dollars More" were also scored by Ennio Morricone.

Since you are cool with classical instruments, now, I recommend The President's Own: the US Marine Band. Look for "William Tell Overture," "Midway March," "National Emblem," "Liberty Bell March" and "Trombone Meets the Bumblebee"

Brilliant soundtrack to a brilliant movie. Was a big spaghetti fan as a child- born in 1969.even demanded a poncho like Eastwood!! Not sure if it's still there but the movie set was in Portugal, near a holiday town so was an attraction .

If you want a truly powerful Orchestral experience ... watch the American composer Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" (1938), as performed at Last Night of the Proms in 2001 at the Royal Albert Hall to honor the victims of the September 11 attacks!
