    One reactor commented: "After watching this I want to go out and do something heroic!" Personally, I've sat in the audience for many symphony performances in North America and here in South Korea, and it is always amazing to watch and listen to accomplished, talented, very educated musicians who have worked and studied for most of their lives to gain a place in an orchestra like this. Yes, I've attended many rock concerts as well, but its hard not to appreciate the degree of education, dedication and performance expertise on display in a symphony orchestra.

    There’s lots of layers of talent in this piece. First of course the original composer, Enrico Morricone, who was breaking some new grounds with the way he composed music for these western films.
    Then there is the person who made the particular arrangement, picking which pieces of music from the film to play and how they put them together into this piece.
    Next up is the conductor, keeping track of tempo and timing, giving cues to the members of the orchestra on when to come in etc.
    And then the performers, both vocalists and those playing instruments, all who are doing a great job with tone, timing and overall performance.
    Worth also is a nod to the stage crew and camera team. The backdrop is really nice, and the camera team switches shots very well without feeling that you miss something.

    Almost everything by Ennio Morricone composed is good or even great. He composed soundtracks to hundreds of films, the most iconic being the spaghetti westerns (this, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, Once Upon Time in the West...) but definitively worth checking are e.g. The Invisible Woman (La donna invisibile), Le foto proibite di una signora per bene (Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion), Slalom, The Thing, The Legend of 1900...

    • @DerMoerpler
      @DerMoerpler 2 года назад

      The Thing is still one of my favorite horror scores ever, and I it shows how talented Morricone was even when he wrote practically the opposite of what he's most known for. It's all synth and very minimalistic, completely different from his western scores. An absolute shame that his score (and the entire movie) were not appreciated when it came out.

    Ennio Morricone was a master composer for both art music and movie scores. It's not only the music is a masterpiece, but also how it is used in the movies. I have loved the musical scores from the Trilogy since I was about 15, i am 69 now. Still have my original albums. Pure genious! Can not tell you how often on a car ride I have listened to this music. It just goes so well in Montana or other open spaces where you are the only car on the road. Yep there still are places like that

    Ennio Morricone is an Italian excellence who recently passed away, has composed hundreds of film soundtracks and received the Oscar for Lifetime Achievement
    before leaving he left the orchestral scores of some of his most beautiful soundtracks, such as the one here so well performed
    the Wua-Wua that often intrigues is the sum of the singer's voice and the sound of a harmonica, you can see it at 3.45 minutes of your reaction
    the soundtrack was composed in the 60s and there were no electronic distortion of the voice
    he liked to insert musical jokes with unusual instruments

    This is a masterpiece from the greatest film music composer of our time. It´s the theme song from the movie " the good, the bad & the ugly. And the korean version "the good the bad and the wierd. A nice movie too. But this video is a medley from the movie. At 4:04 comes "ecstasy of gold". Metallica likes to start there shows with this song. Both are one of my favorite tracks ever too. Other awesome songs are "my name is nobody" (a song that always makes me smile. It dosn´t matter in what mood i am), the man with the harmonica, the wild horde, good luck jack, the ballad of "sacco e vanzetti", the heretic, chi mai, once upon a time in the west, for a few dollars more, and sooooo much more.

    This - film has been absurdly Popular and it is fantastic performance and - production, but I think it has reached a near record number of views, many millions! And the Orchestra is known for making High Class version of popular themes. As a Dane I'm of course very proud, though the very well known, Wah Wah Lady is a Norwegian, and also she is one of the Best in the World. It really is Quality all over!

    It’s a thing they do quite often. There’s this guy in danish television spearheading the project and he’s been the nerdy cool tv presenter for many years. He was instrumental in giving young ppl/children of the 90s good quality childrens tv. He also did several projects on his own, like a late night tv show about old black and white monster/sci-fi movies.
    In relation to the music, they often have a theme and preform music from movies/tv. They’ve done a Star Wars themed concert, sci-fi (Star Trek, the thing etc.) and I think they recently did a space themed one.
