Morricone was genius. Small things like percussive piano is a brilliant.

No, you won't. Morricone, Edda Dell'Orso - you can go wrong with that. Especially with Tuva Semmingsen in modern times :)
The guy was a pure genius, no question about it. But Edda was there too.
Currently: Zimmer (Inception; "Time", Gladiator and full of others soundtracks - too many to mention here). Williams too and plenty of others. But at the end... Morricone was/has been - a "baseline". Pure genius (even reading about his life, and music career is amazing too). And as always, if one mention Morricone, one has to mention Edda too...
Edit: added a bit about Tuva...

A two-fer-one. They play both the main theme of the movie and then "Ecstasy of Gold", probably the most beautiful and haunting piece of movie music ever written. This ranks as one of my all-time favourite movies and Ennio Morricone's score is a major contributor to that. This performance by the DNSO is on par with the best I've ever heard. If you haven't watched the movie I highly recommend that you do so. You'll pick out the two songs here easily, though Ecstasy only makes an appearance towards the end.
The subtitling was in a weird mix of Danish and English. "Sopran" is simply Danish for soprano.

I search for reactions to this absurdly popular Concert, as a Dane, though the Wah Wah Lady is only an Honorary Dane, as a Norwegian, and one the best Mezzo-sopranos, by that, Tuva Semmingsen. She still get Fan mails from this performance!

@@Mike-zx1kx Because as a Scandinavian we use to make fun of each other, and hardly anyone up here will be offended by that! We are proud to constantly being voted The Best Places to live by the yearly UN list, and only minor details separate us from being first or fifth every year, as also Iceland is part of this Top Contest. And actually Denmark and Norway was one Country till one unfortunate war with Sweden, with which Danes have fought more wars than between any other countries!!! And for many years also the southern and - habitable part of Sweden was Danish, up to the Norwegian Border (That's why Copenhagen is to the side of Denmark). We still have a former border Fortress outside Göteborg, and during an attack on Norwegian/Danish Halden, Swedish King: Carl 12th was killed, after having ruined his country by constant wars for many years (so he most likely became killed by one of his own Officers, with a silver, round Uniform-Button as a bullet, as he was considered to be mostly invulnerable from ordinary weapons, when he looked out over a trench).
By that we also have former Danish Border poles in German Altona, the northern part of Hamburg, which was Danish till a war with Prussia/Austria in 1864!

Have you noticed the earrings worn by Tuva SEMINGSEN, the wha-wha and whistling mezzo-sprano?
Since then, this international artist has been nicknamed LADY WHA-WHA and enjoys it a lot.

One mistake and the whole thing ruined, the work, dedication and discipline on display is astonishing, Tuva Semmingsen (Wah Wah) is a Norwegian mezzo-soprano and coloratura singer, she's wearing gun shaped earrings and her wah wahs are in sync with a harmonica, she's amazing, please look up her other works with this orchestra, I can't find much information on the other singer Christine Nonbo Andersen other than she is Danish...Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) who composed this is a genius and a legend as he should be, film director Sergio Leone (1929-1989) is also a genius and legend, both of them have inspired many of today's composers and directors and will continue to do so for generations to come.
