Whenever I hear this piece it reminds me of my favorite Clint Eastwood line in the movie. "You see my friend, there are two kinds of people in this world. Those with loaded guns and those who dig: You dig". What a great movie and the Danish National Symphony was fantastic.
That line is one of the most epic in that movie. The next best one is when Angel Eyes says, "When I'm paid, I always see the job through, you know that" just before shooting Baker in his bed. So many great lines in that movie.
Maestro Ennio Morricone, form Italy , is the epitomy of a musical genius! Unforgettable film soundtrack , composed in 1966 for a same title spaghetti - western film , directed by Sergio Leone ! Wild wild far west ! Mrs Tuva Semmingsen is the wa - wa and whistling lady . She' s also a soprano , as Mrs. Christine Nombo - Andersen , you see secondly !
Yes Tuva is very talented but many people who react to this piece seem to have never heard a good experienced opera singer. Many trained opera singers could sing this but maybe not whistle as well.
You have to watch the movie 🎥 to understand what this song is all about. A great Western from 1967 I believe. This score was originally written by the great Italian composer Ennio Morricone for the movie and it is fantastic!!!!!! Watch the movie please. So says Austin Tx!!!!!!🥳🥳😍😎🍸
It should also be noted that each of the three main characters of the movie have a specific part of this song is their personal theme. And when it gets played it is in association with that character.
This is the theme song to one of the best spaghetti westerns ever made. It also has the greatest final gunfight of all times, you should do a reaction to the RUclips video "The Good the Bad and the Ugly final scene "
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, have from time to time a theme night, its not often but it have happen a few times. This was from their Western theme, They have also done "For a few dollars more" & Once upon a time in the West. As well as a Starwars night, a James Bond night, A Fantasy night (Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Narnia), A Sci-Fi Night (Fifth Element, Blade Runner, Interstellar, Star Trek), A Mafia themed (Godfather, The untouchables,). I have not heard them all, and its been awhile.
The Orchestra was "born" on the 28th of October 1925!.......... So next year is the 100th birthday and knowing DR (I am a Dane), they won't waste a good celebration. Maybe something big is coming, who knows? Keep an eye on their homepage.
@@rayatkin7868 I remember seeing this in some document. There's a cry of a coyote (apparently) to be heard somewhere in the backround in the beginning of 'For a few dollars more'. Morricone took it from there.
I'm sure that this is one of the best versions ever. Ennio Morricone visited Copenhagen with an Orchestra a year before his death, but I doubt his version could reach this at all?
Want to see something incredible, watch these 2 videos back to back. First watch Lovebites Etude, it's just a couple minutes long. Then immediately watch Lovebites Scream for Me live Daughters of the Dawn. It's the same band both videos. Best to watch them I the same sitting.
Tuva Semmingsen, mezzo soprano aka "Wah Wah" go listen to "bang Bang" same orchestra...let this be a lesson, a very diverse group of PEOPLE get together and create this. Get it? People did this....look what a group can do.
This tune is not (!) by the "The Danish National Symphony Orchestra - they "just" play it. This tune is by the Italian composer Ennio Morricone! Morricone is more important than the Orchestra. You should watch the movie "The good, The bad and The uglu one" .. Then you will understand the whole context, the story, and the music behind it all. I know you would love the movie and the human roles it presents ..!
you don't need to see the movie to appreciate the skills that go into writing and performing this piece.over 100 people are being co-ordinated to play this.being live at the concert would be even more amazing. The movie is quite good too.
@@knockonrock7013 the sound was horrible. Find the original on RUclips. If you don't find that incredible, your music style or not, you are talentless.
ennio morricone and sergio leone were classmates at elementary schools in Rome. destiny had already decided.
In my opinion, this is one of the best, most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Love your reactions. Looking Fab btw 🔥🔥
and this execution by the danish orchestra is priceless
The oboe solo is, as always, beautiful as hell. The oboist has some lungs!
The wooden instrument that the man was using, hitting two pieces together is actually called a "slap stick."

So beautifully put together... also the orchestra's performance.
Thankyou Ennio

Small correction. It was not a James Bond night, it was Agents in general. :)

A great score to a great movie.

The lady in the start is Tuva Semmingsen, She is a mezzosopran.
Excellent, Superb well done to perfection.

My all time favorite Clint Eastwood movie is High Plains Drifter, and this movie is second, one of the best westerns ever....
Mine, too!
Next is to watch the movie! Some of the best visual filming with a great musical score.
pros, thanks for reaction. (the blonde on balcony must be an angel)
Yes, she's definately an angel 😁
@@peterrevens8454 well of course, she's Danish!
That famous "wou-wou-wuaa" is imitation of jackal's cry.
A jackal in America? Wouldn't it rather be a coyote's cry?

One of the greatest musical scores in film history.

I’d love to see your reaction to “Adagio for String” by Samual Barber. It is a very power and sad song.
It seems hearing many hundred of horses running through the desert.
I suggest you listen to a lady singer from the sixties called Yma Sumac. The Noises she could do with her voice was incredible.
Masterpiece. Beautiful. Excellent
You have to watch the movie
And the other 2 movies, A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More.
