So to recap, the king was living happily on another planet without telling anyone and leaving his family worried and confused.
When Alex found out he dove at his father to hug him, then went back to tell his family that his father was alive and just chose to leave them behind. The family was 'overjoyed' about this.
Now the two planets are friends, despite everyone trying to kill Alex - even the dude with the hatchet.
I love Japan.
Excellent recap! Haha. Must be the worst ending I've ever seen now that I have a better grasp of english. I've beaten this game so many times, because somehow I loved the game back in the day, but i don't think I ever reflected over the ending. :D

It's probably because it was/is a pretty shitty game. This coming from someone who actually enjoys most of the most hated games that AVGN goes after (I thought Castlevania 2 was the best of the 3 originals).

Nicely played. This game was equally challenging as Miracle World. The clumsiness of the jumpkick: Jump, then release to kick, which had to hit just right to connect, made it tougher than it had to be. This game was still faithful to the original game's style.

I know that everybody living on planet Paperock is good at "Rock, Paper, Scissors!", but having to play a game based on LUCK to defeat the boss is bull****, in my opinion.

Eh, there is some appeal to that, its more of a chill game you play at thursday when you're bored, not really an epic tale but a relaxing one.
This game has his system, when the boss picks for example, rock he continues picking rock for 2 or 3 times before pick other.
This game so good. I would play this over and over, think I can get through it without dying.
This game was so hard. I don't think I was ever able to get to the midle of the game.

Alex's dad may not be the worst father in gaming, but this is pretty high up there.

AVGN should make an episode about this game. The objective of the stages is to get to the end of it and they are too short, there's way too much money available in the game, you don't just buy the items you must also win a game of chance and the worst of all is that it feels like Alex is walking on a slippery floor all the time (in fact, this is the only hard thing in this game, but it doesn't seem fair at all). Because of this slippery movement Ihad trouble killing the enemies and avoiding them it's not fun at all, so I would usually hoard a lot of tiaras at stage 1 (it gives you a ranged attack). Only the last stage feels like a real platformer, if all other stages were like the last one the game would be significantly better.

AVGN would rip on it and probably say Alex Kidd looked like some weird monkey boy and Mario is way cooler.
It was used kind of sparingly in the previous game, but for some reason they went completely overboard here.
I never played Alex Kidd but it looks fun and I love its songs ^-^

I remember watching my brother play this when I was like 3 years old. The whole rock paper scissors scene used to creep me the hell out, especially when you lose lol.

@@Kerannnng The arcade version of Lost Stars is really neat! Hi Tech World wasnt that bad, i Think its quite charming. Lost stars on the master system could have been a fun game, if i wasnt so damn easy. theres too many of these "sc" stars that keep filling up the energy bar all the time, thats the problem. I wish someone would hack it and raise the difficulty level.

Yo conocí a Alex Kidd gracias a este juego, lo tenía en una Sega Genesis de AtGames junto a varios juegos chidos (Esto hace muchos años, porque ya no sirve)
Dude, sorry to break it down to ya but the AtGames SEGA Genesis was and still is one of the worst consoles to play on.

El caso es que el SEGA génesis mini, incluye este juego y el sonido suena muy bien y normal y la de atgames el sonido es muy distorsionado

when I play alex kidd I always think of the first bubsy game, well you will ask me why? obviously alex kidd and bubsy are 2 characters who die in one shot in their game and there is almost nothing that can protect them from damage, and then there are so many enemies in their games😂😂😂, but I love those 2 games🥰🥰🥰

Miracle world is a LOT better because you can buy items and you don't slide around like you are in ice world. Plus you can skip a lot of stuff/glitches for fun.
You get items here too, i mean its luck based but its not in any way challenging. Also that one had janken, why isnt it bashed for being luck based?

I don't think it was actually supposed to sound like that, it kind of sounds like something went wrong with the coding to make the notes change pitch and end up very dissonant.

I was playing Sega Classics version for this game (which I've played many times on the Mega Drive) on the XBox and noticed that where the red and blue blocks are surrounding the vulture that there are two vultures on the Sega Classics version but just one on the Mega Drive. No idea why they've added another bird for.

"good lollies to munch on while playin' Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle", I am not that fast though, I should be eatin' more fruit tingles I think, I take my hat off to you Sir you were very fast, & very good at rock scissors paper too. once I master this awesome game I shall go on to play Kid Chameleon next thats not to bad either. long live to the fun games of my child hood, in old age they are still marvellous!

warpyoshi well it WAS an early megadrive title.
Considering that it was released just 5 months after the Mega Drive in Japan, it makes perfect sense to be less than stellar in graphics.
